I recently had an "emergency" situation and Quality Windows really had my back. My kids broke a glass table top that my mom really liked, so the first chance I got I snuck away with the table to Quality Windows for a glass top replacement. The staff were great and I was greeted and told someone would be with me shortly. I appreciated being seeing--since a lot of other places treat you as a number and you just wait your turn. Shortly after M assisted me and I told her my situation and she promised she would have someone get it done by the same day. Usually services like that take 1-2 days. Long story short Henry who also perfectly cut the glass made a miracle happen by keeping their word and getting me the table back the same day. They were all sweet enough to even stay after hours for me to get there. I really appreciate their dedication to their customers and would refer them to everyone that needs any type of glass services. Thank you so much for the GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE M! Its hard to come by now. read more

So my window and door were replaced January 17 and Ventura Building and Safety just left my condo after signing off on the final inspection today. Even the building inspector said that it was a job well done, and I agree! Not only does it look better but you can't even hear the window and door open, they're so quiet! The old door would wake the dead when you opened it...imagine nails on chalkboard. Also in one month my electricity use has gone down because of the insulation provided by the double panes. It's been a chilly, wet winter and our condo is electric heated, so we definitely noticed the difference between the last two rainstorms. The costs did end up going up to about $4500 but partly it was because my door was an inch shorter than standard, so that added a bit of time and cost and Ventura Building and Safety required Quality pull the permit because my condo is "attached," so that added another $250 to the bill, plus permit fees. But you get what you pay for and $4500 later I have a warmer place that has a much nicer window and slider and I can probably sell the place for $10,000 more now just because I've already gone through the effort. Bryan was easy to work with, communicated the issues and small hiccups promptly and the installers were great too. I had to take a plank out of my deck so they could install the door (and I then had to cut a small half inch indent so the plank was flush with the new door) and they accidentally left with two of my trim boards in their trash. I made a panicked phone call to the installer 30 minutes after he left and he was able to locate the boards AND drop them off on my patio the next day while I was at work. I would and have recommended Quality Windows and Glass to other home/condo owners. They are top notch! See my before and after pictures attached! read more

I agree w/ Dan C.'s review from September. I only picked this company because it had pretty decent reviews and had been voted one of the "best" in the VC Star reader's poll. However, my experience was less than "quality". I too had two different instances where I was told I would get a call back, but never did. Then they broke my tiles off my remodeled shower because they hit the outside wall so hard installing the window. It's such a long story of all the runaround I got, I'm too exhausted to explain further, but it was not a good experience. I would never, ever recommend this company to anybody. The owner only called me when he "demanded" his money. read more

I spent over $8000 on glass shower doors and new windows. I also spent $300 for a piece of glass to be cut to cover my desk. Perhaps a month later the glass cracked. I contacted them and they said sorry, tough luck. read more

I rarely take the time to write negative reviews--I truly believe that most of the time folks are doing the best they can, even in business, but our experience with "Quality" Windows over a year of various work has been overwhelmingly negative. I will say that the actual workmanship for the largest part of a window replacement was acceptable, however that is quickly overshadowed when communicating with the office is a struggle at best. The part of the experience that was truly abysmal was the follow up and customer service. Aspects of the original request/quote were omitted, so we just had to keep tracking them down to submit new order for work. We would email, call and leave messages and no response. This was consistent at multiple stages. I finally felt a little more "heard" when I got a hold of one admin. person in the office who understood why I might be frustrated after paying for a part and service and then hearing nothing for months. She apologized and really worked to follow up. Once the part came in she called when she said she would and offered one time slot the following week. It didn't work for me but she said the only alternative would be weeks after. So I rearranged my workday to be home for that and be done with it all. That day, the work window assigned came and went, I waited an extra 30 minutes and called the office. Another person answered and I explained my frustration. She checked with the tech who confirmed running behind and that it would be another hour, at which point I had to be at work. Honestly, these things happen all the time...how about using a cell phone to call the customer to let them know you cannot be there on time. Simple courtesy, but not here. I missed work that day to just get the 10 minute job done once and for all. I did want to discuss this with the office and asked to leave a message with the office person I had been speaking with prior and never heard back. I also asked that one of the two managers/supervisors call me within 2 business days and never heard back. So disappointing. **I am amending my review to reflect follow up from management. While I believe the poor customer service communication follow up and delays DID overshadow the actual workmanship, there is no way to split the two up when posting a review. I would say the communication was 1-2 stars, but I appreciated that the owner called to follow up, learn about what went wrong and share an intention to improve communication in the office. I hope that happens. Actual workmanship of the installed windows would be in the 3-4 star range. Just fine! Hopefully the office communication can follow suit to improve service to customers--the owner seems genuinely committed. If you have any issues, work to track him down directly.** read more

The first person I spoke to when I called for a quote was a super guy. BUT THEN, this guy shows up in shiny shoes and a solid black outfit, outside salesman..not a window guy. He had a 1998 Think Pad and a little calculator he was tapping while adding and subtracting while scribbling on the back of a piece of used paper. He then does a couple of measurements and says well this can be a rough estimate but a true installer will come to measure before ordering because, "I'm the salesman, not the laborer." The gentleman was fairly nice but was looking at his cellphone the entire time. He let me know he was in a hurry to pick up his vehicle to go on vacation for a week. Fair enough, we've all been there. Asked when I would have my actual quote on paper. See photo for my actual quote. Asked me to put down 2k and sign this quote. Hahahahah I was in sales for years. Poor guy was a mess. Needless to say, he was 2k higher than my 2 other quotes. Not this time, Quality. Went with another installer. Two stars because the guy was actually nice. read more

My folks purchased a sliding glass window and it was legit. It was a Milgard sliding glass and really opened up the space with a lot of natural light. The crew was pro and prompt. Will def recommend quality window read more

A technician was supposed to be at my home between 2-3 PM. I tried calling at 3 PM to check status but there was no answer. I called again at 4 PM and spoke with a gentleman who said he couldn't get a hold of the technician. After waiting for approximately 5 minutes, the technician called back and said he was in Malibu and would not be able to make it to my home. A phone call would've been greatly appreciated considering I took time off to be available and wait for the technician to arrive. Needless to say, I did not reschedule with them. read more

We couldn't be happier with Quality Windows & Doors. They replaced a broken sliding-French door with a new sliding door and did it in a few hours. The ADA approved handles are a dream if you have arthritis. We also replaced all nine of our homes 40-year-old windows and it was done in about 5 hours, including a lunch break. Very professional, super courteous and pleasant employees. I've recommended them to everyone we know. Guests can't get over how beautiful and welcoming our home is now. read more

The estimator, Alex, designed a super good design for a complicated front combination of windows. The two installers, Larry and Eddie, performed the installation with great care and pride in their workmanship. The Milgard Tuscany vinyl windows they installed are of a very good quality, with special features. They cleaned up after the work was done and took great care in everything they did. I can't say enough about their workmanship. In the past I was a contractor for many years. The owner Erick takes great pride in the quality of the work performed. Their prices are very reasonable, when you compare other's prices. I highly endorse Quality Windows. read more

Fantastic customer service! Professional through and through. Speedy delivery too. Would use again and recommend to a friend.

We are thrilled with the new windows ! A quality product and the installers (Larry & team) surely know their business. The downside: Waited 3 months, was told two months. Thanks, Eric, for a good team ! read more

If I could give zero stars I would! Where to even start? The misleading sales pitch? The poor customer service? Or the poor quality product?? Everything that could've been wrong with this experience went terribly wrong. To cover it in bullet points: 1. The sales man pitched me on new windows with 1.5 inches of vinyl. I highlighted that I wanted to maximize glass (light) over framing. I was okay with the thought of 1.5 inches. What arrived however was not that. 1.5 inches was simply the covering for the retrofit (when they didn't get the window size wrong and use multiple). I have lost 3-5 inches around the window of glass (at least). 2. The sizing of the windows was done extremely poorly. The framing is not equal surrounding the window. The worst is one with the sides at 3 inches of vinyl and the top and bottom at 5 inches. This is noticeable and ugly. My aluminum windows did not have this, so I see no reason they would need to do it this way. These were CUSTOM windows and should not have this issue. 3. The installers didn't know how to get things straight. Literally. One window was not level and therefore didn't latch properly. Easy close? Yeah, right. Luckily the manufacturer knew how to fix it in two seconds flat. 4. They installed DAMAGED windows. One sliding door was scratched upon installation. They said the manufacturer would come out to fix it. I took time off work to have the manufacturer fix it and lo and behold, they wouldn't because Quality Windows didn't report the damage properly. It's been two months and I still don't have the door fixed, further I'm going to have to take off more time to get it fixed. 5. The windows they installed are already falling apart. One has issues with it's coating and is only two months old. 6. They didn't come with all of the parts they needed. I still can't have my doors open at night to get fresh air because my screens are missing and I'm not a huge fan of flying insects inside my house. 7. The customer service is horrendous. They are bad at getting back to you and when they want to schedule something they call last minute to see if you're available. I work. It's how I'm paying for these awful windows. I know I'm forgetting something, but in summary, this was not the cheapest option. I wanted QUALITY in the service and product, thought I paid for it, and have received nothing of the sort. Use someone else! Update (7/14): Almost 4 full months later and still no screen doors (that they forgot to bring initially, then brought the wrong ones, and then didn't show for appointments)! In addition to this, still awaiting 3 replacement panes - how 4 panes were damaged/scratched out of 2 doors and 6 windows is beyond my comprehension - and 1 replacement window because they sized it too small. read more

I placed an order to have Quality Windows install the glass for my shower. There was an issue with some of the parts ordered. I had to get a new sliding back door and two living room windows because the old ones were so old and almost unusable! The company, Quality Windows Inc. at 1430 S. Oxnard Blvd, Oxnard,Ca was the company I hired. And the employee, ALEX, went out of his way to see that the installation was good. He even made a second visit to my home to make a small adjustment on the sliding door with the beautiful wood trim as I requested. When a business service is good, and the employees go the extra mile to make sure everything is done to perfection for a customer - that business and that special employee need to be recognized! Quality Windows,Inc. and their employee ALEX, deserve to be recognized! They did an outstanding job, and I recommend them highly! I also think ALEX deserves a raise or a bonus just for his fine customer service, his willingness to make a customer feel important, and more importantly the attention to detail he displays making any installation his priority - he makes sure the work is done professionally, with no shortcuts! AND he follows-up immediately making extra trips to the customer's home to make adjustments and to make sure his customer is happy! BRAVO! It's a testament to the fact that there are great companies out in the community who display ethics, integrity, and honesty in everything they do! THANK you Quality Windows, Inc for your excellent work. I am thrilled! And I will refer others to your company when they need work done! Simply THE BEST! -- Sandra Wasgatt read more

Met with Oscar who gave me an estimate for replacing a window. Installer came out and did not do as we had agreed. It wasn't complete and looked bad. I contacted Bernice who checked out the details with Oscar and dispatched George to finish the job. George did an outstanding job and we were totally satisfied with the work. It's important to do a good job the first time but mistakes and miscommunication will happen. It is absolutely critical to listen to the customer if they aren't happy. Quality Windows did everything it took to make sure we were completely satisfied with the job and I'd recommend them to friends and family anytime. read more

Head my Warning!!!! RUN RUN this is the most incompetent glass business I have ever dealt with. I have been in the construction business for over 30 years. I have dealt with many sub contractors through out the construction business. I scheduled 3 weeks in advanced to replace glas in 1 slider and fixed window with grids. My labor was being donated to help a elderly woman with this because should she could not afford it and would get stressed out very easy with any changes or repairs. I scheduled 3 weeks in advanced with this company and even called the night before to confirm that I would be dropping off the windows the next day at 8am. I showed up at the window company the next day at 8:15 am and spoke with Gene who already was having a bad day because a delivery showed up and blocked the driveway. Then I thought I better check up on it at 12:30 the same afternoon and they didn't know who or what the windows were. So after they confirmed who I spoke with they said they would have them complete by 3:30. Oh and by the way I had been comforting the elderly ladie reassuring her I would not leave her without her windows. I receive a call from Joel stating the windows are not going to be completed today. I am aware that this business was not aware of the background story to this but now the elderly woman is terrified that she is some how at risk. Way to go Quality window and doors. read more

We moved into a new home with pretty over the top mahogany wood and gold glass leaded doors in the front and back. Needless to say since we are re doing our whole house those doors needed to be replaced. I called quality windows and a sales guy came out within days for a quote on the two doors. Once our sales guy and I agreed upon a price I was very excited and signed an actual contract to continue with the process of ordering the two wood doors. I gave a 25% deposit on my credit card and we were good to go. I was told within four weeks my doors should be installed... max six weeks. Later that day the same sales guy called me telling me he can't really sell The doors anymore for that price and he misspoke so he'll have to lower the grade of my doors or he will have to charge me an extra 2,000$. I was taken aback and couldn't believe I signed a contract for the price we agreed upon and he even had called his boss before we signed to confirm it was ok. And I had paid the deposit already. I told him that's not going to work for me so I called his boss immediately. The boss assured me it was ok and I'd still be getting my doors at the price I signed the contract for. Let's just say that was beginning of March 2018 and after about 10 phone calls and 14 weeks later I finally had an install date for my two doors. I was so frustrated because I waited 3.5 months vs the 1 month they quoted me. The two men who came to install the doors took a better chunk of the day and shaved down the doors to get them to fit, cut my brand new wood floors all jagged to get it to work, put up the most plain Jane trim I've ever see and it's not even straight on the corners and told me it was my job to finish the job with the quarter round to cover up the threshold and wood floor gap they created which looked horrific. I was so frustrated I just wanted these two guys out of my house ASAP. I of course called the manager and we had some words but eventually I just am running as fast as I can away from this company and never looking back. Do I have my two doors I ordered? Yes! But it was a very long and stressful process that should have most definitely been easier, quicker and with much better quality than it was done with. Update: within a day of posting this Erick the owner called me. Assured me he was going to make everything right and call me within the next day to fix the remaining door shoe they never replaced. That was 22 days ago and I have yet to hear from him regarding coming out to finish the project. No wonder I got the service I did. Comes from the top and works it's way down... kind of sad when you are paying thousands of dollars for doors. Update 2: Erick the main man did call me after about a month of saying he'd call me to set up an appointment to fix the threshold of the garage door. Andres did come out the following week to successfully and with great service fix that garage doors threshold and shoe. Honestly still so disappointed with the service and I will never ever do business here again but Andres was a really great installer that did great work on my final project. I wish he would have been the installer to put in the two doors I purchased from this company. read more

I had them out for an estimate on a shower enclosure and that part was great. I decided to go with them because the price was about the same everywhere. JT was a pro and did a very detailed measurement. I also had him measure for a new mirror for the bathroom wall. They came out on Monday with two trucks and soon found out the glass for the shower enclosure was not the right size. Installer said it would take a couple days to get a new piece. They removed the old mirror and installed the new one. Upon inspection the mirror was too small and also the corner was not square. They removed the mirror and came back three hours later and reinstalled a mirror that was good. Next day the office called and wanted to install the shower on Friday. I complained that I have no shower and could they do it sooner. He said give me an hour and I'll call you back. Call back never came and I called back Thursday and asked about the install and was told the glass wasn't in yet. She said she would call back when the glass arrived. No call back again. Friday arrives and still no call back so I call at 1:00 asking what's going on. I was told the glass is here and he has an installer who can come now. At this point I asked for a discount and he said he would have to talk to the owner and he would call back in the three o clock hour with a answer. No call back again. The installers came 2 1/2 hours later and again the shower can't be installed. This time the wrong metal trim was brought. I called and asked for the owner and was told he would call me back. No call back. I'm still waiting for my install and very unhappy with quality windows and their approach to my problem. If I didn't call them they would have ignored me for who knows how long. I would not use them again and would not recommend them to anyone. Inside management has no sense of what their customers need and expect. The truck that showed up was old and now it have 10 new oil stains on my driveway to remember them by. Can't wait to see why they can't install it today! read more

I never made it beyond the initial appointment. I called to set up an appointment over a month in advance, gave all the details about the job. I was assured someone would call by the end of the day or the next morning. I still have not heard from anyone. It's disappointing because I've used them before for a small job. We recently moved into a beautiful home in a gated area of Calabasas; once I moved in I realized more than two thirds of our windows were Stationary. Our huge master suite has 12+ windows and only 2 small side actually were made to open. It was a fire hazaard and very claustrophobic not to mention our A/C bill was insanely expensive. So I called numerous window companies for quotes to see what was the economical solution. Charles M., a Salesman with QUALITY WINDOWS came out more than once to show me samples, help me thru the decision process and his quote was not the lowest but also far from the highest bid. Also, he had some top of the line windows for my home. The "installers" truly had their work cut out for them as this was no easy job. They were fast, efficient, and clean. These windows match my home perfectly and I HAVEN'T RUN MY A/C ONCE SINCE THEY WERE INSTALLED. I now have a cross breeze and beautiful cool evenings even here in the Valley! I highly recommend them. I want to personally thank Larry and Matt, my door installers today/Oxnard location. After some confusion with the placement of my order/sales dept., Larry went over and above to contact his manager immediately to reorder the doors and still took the time to professionally install what they could with the frame to spec, put the doors in anyway so we would not have to at least wait on the replacement with a hollow opening, put the handles on and even came back to finish up one item, even though they will be coming back to redo. They made sure we were good to go for the time being. Taking time to help us out, explain the install and the process, and I feel were the link between a potentially order not to our spec, and a superb, clean, and respectful install and outcome. They both apologized for really something that was not their doing/problem, but rose above to make right on behalf of their team and company, an asset worthy to mention...lucky business owner to have such great employees who care for customers and the outcome of the business relationship! Larry and Matt helped us to resurrect the problem, instead of making excuses. I am hopeful my new door is on its way and I rest assured these guys will complete to perfection. read more

Quality was the second quote that we received to replace all of our windows, and came in WELL under the first - and they responded right away to come over and give us an estimate. We said yes on the spot and got a significant discount for paying cash. When the windows arrived, we had to schedule install within the week otherwise they wouldn't take responsibility for any damage to the windows (minus half a star), and then the crew came about a half hour later on the first day than I was originally told (also minus half a star, but more a ding on office/crew communication, and the fact that I had to schedule that week and it happened to not be a great week...) - otherwise the crew (Larry was the lead) was fantastic - courteous, quick, thorough... just amazing. They did our whole house, including a new bay window (I'm in love!!) in two days. We would definitely use them again! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. They treated me like dirt. They didn't show for their scheduled apt. and when I called they were rude to me. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and a second chance and they still showed up late for the estamite. They kept quoting different prices and when they didn't call back when they said they would I called them and received more attitude. One person said he would give me a discount but didn't tell anyone else and they made me out to be a liar. Then that guy (John) called me back with an attitude telling me he got his "ass handed to [him]" becuase I called "pissed off and yelling." I was so nice when I called I was blown away by his attitude and accusation. Who scolds their customers?!?! He said "maybe we should call it a day" and I said I was done with their company.
