Quality Remodeling, Inc. truly lives up to their name. From the moment I met the owner Scot, I could tell he was a professional and took our job seriously. Our project had a few different elements - we wanted to completely gut our master bath, and convert a water closet in that bathroom to a laundry area accessed from the hallway instead. The area we were remodeling was an addition put on before we moved in, and the heating and A/C was done so poorly our bedroom and bathroom barely received any heat or A/C at all, so we also wanted to put in a new HVAC system for the addition. Last minute, we were also able to add another hall closet. Others who'd come to give us quotes on our somewhat complicated project stayed 5 minutes. Scot took precise measurements, asked tons of questions, and thought of every aspect of the project so he was able to give us an accurate quote upfront (he was the only one who noticed we'd need a new electrical panel, for example. I know the others would have figured it out, but Scot was the only one who thought to go to the basement and look. For the contractors that didn't, that would have added a cost on later in the project after we'd budgeted without it, and that's just one example of what Scot caught that other builders didn't). He also came back a second time with a team of HVAC professionals to assess our HVAC issues and discuss solutions before giving us a quote. Before he had our business, he already treated us like his most important customer. After being burned by a different contractor in a kitchen remodel years ago, I was weary of starting a new project. Scot gave us a realistic timeline that we agreed on, and stuck to it. We had one worker, Walter, here every day of the project (occasionally even on Saturdays and a holiday). He was so polite, and worked so hard on our project. There were many other days where there would be a team here assisting Walter, but even if he was the only person here for the day, he always made a ton of progress on the project (and really, another person wasn't necessary those days). His work was absolutely beautiful, high-quality, and it is obvious he pays close attention to detail. Our house wasn't left a mess, either - as it was appropriate to the job, the worksite was cleaned as they went, and with the exception of dust (which is to be expected), I didn't have a huge mess to clean up when everything was complete. The other thing I loved about working with Quality Remodeling is that the owner Scot was constantly in contact with me, whether by phone, texting (which was great!), and he came by at least once a week to check up on things. So did the foreman for the project, Mark. I knew they were always around if I had questions or problems. Whenever I'd have to deal with sub-contractor (like for the vanities or the countertops), Scot would make sure I got in touch with the right person, then he'd follow up with me and them to make sure everything was going according to plan, budget, and schedule. The sub-contractors Quality Remodeling works with were all top-notch. Scot is such a friendly, knowledgeable guy. He made sure that we got what we wanted, even when it was a little hard to do. He even tried to track down some elusive tile I had found online, and after our project was completed, he checks up to make sure things are going well. We experienced a problem with one of the plumbing fixtures we bought after our project was completed, and Scot called the plumbing company on my behalf after they told me they wouldn't exchange it, and got a manager to override the decision. You can tell he genuinely cares and wants people to be happy with their projects, even after his obligation to the customer is complete. I have already recommended Quality Remodeling, Inc. to family members considering remodels. Our project turned out to be exactly what I had envisioned, and the construction of it truly lives up to the name Quality. It was truly a joy to work with the Quality Remodeling team. They know what they are doing, and they truly care about their customers. If we have any projects in the future, I know I'll be calling Quality Remodeling, Inc. in a heartbeat. read more

Quality Remodeling has done work for me on two of my homes. Quality did superb work on my kitchens, my three bathrooms, entryway and all my new windows. The work was professional and every detail was done the way that I had envisioned. I have recommended Quality Remodeling to my friends and family. Note of Gratitude For Services Rendered by Quality Remodeling, Inc. RE: Skokie, Illinois flood victims of April 2013 July 8, 2013 This note of gratitude has been prepared in response to the tremendous recovery effort carried out by Quality Remodeling, Incorporated, a Chicago-based company, for my family in Skokie, Illinois. I should make one point clear before going into the specifics regarding the services rendered, as well as my level of satisfaction with same: the brief nature of this document can't possibly do justice to the above-mentioned company, which came to our rescue and made us whole again (better off than we were prior to the flood this past April). I didn't tell one of the founding owners, Scot Igra, that prior to finding his company - by accident, mind you - that not less than 27 companies had been contacted, several of which provided me with their written estimates. However, the overwhelming majority of those contacts were not successful at all; some were even embarrassing. Granted, to their credit some of those companies could have completed the assignment, but, unfortunately not when or how I needed it done (nor could we agree on financial terms that benefitted both parties). Naturally, by the time I found Quality Remodeling I was already exhausted and completely frustrated (upset at the damage the flood caused, insurance issues, etc.), so as you can imagine, I approached the company with a degree of caution, assuming that what I had experienced with the 27 companies prior to Quality Remodeling would be the same. Mr. Igra took my initial call, set up an appointment for the next day and showed up RIGHT ON TIME, A MOVE THAT IMPRESSED ME. I can recall my first statement to him regarding the damage done to my home: "Can you help me with this mess?" His reply shocked me to the point whereby I insisted that he repeat it: "Oh, this is no problem. We can easily take care of this." From that point, we set up a contract - this was after I read some of the testimonials he provided, to include his company's statement regarding their competitive pricing. While I could speak volumes to my level of satisfaction, permit me to close as follows: With respect to the quality of their work; the punctuality and commitment to duty of their work crew (especially Andy, who agreed to start work at 6:00 for at least a week straight); their patience with picky clients; and there prices, don't waste your time trying to do better...BECAUSE YOU CAN'T DO BETTER THAN QUALITY REMODELING!! This use to be my go to remodeling company for years until a minor problem surfaced that led me to make a major decision. One of the windows installed by Quality Remodeling developed a noticeable stress crack not too long after installation. Windows have a lengthy warranty period from the manufacturer, not to mention the warranty from Quality Remodeling was still in effect, however, once I reported the cracked window, Quality Remodeling never came out to replace it. After nearly a dozen unreturned emails & phone calls, I decided to cut my losses and get someone else to replace the window. The contractor who eventually replaced the window noticed it was brand new and returned it to the manufacturer on my behalf and luckily only charged a small installation fee. Now you would think a company that remodeled multiple kitchens and bathrooms in a few properties I own would have the courtesy of returning a call from a loyal client, but not Quality Remodeling. So now I exclusively use the contractor who picked up the ball Quality Remodeling dropped. QR's lack of customer service is unfortunate because my properties receive compliments to this day. When I'm asked "who remodeled this gorgeous bath" my response is, a company I no longer do business with. read more
