I own a rental condo and my tenant informed in first thing in the morning that there was no hot water. She demanded it be fixed that day, so the first company I could find that could do it that day was Quality. But then my tenant refused to cooperate to be there when the technicians could, demanding they come when she got home from work that evening. She wouldn't let me go there myself to let them in. Their customer service associate, Diane, said that they would come back when my tenant got home from work and that they would charge me the regular rate as opposed to the afterhours rate, which this would have been. In the end, it turned out that they needed parts and since it was too late to get the parts, they had to come back the next morning anyway. They received more lack of cooperation when they did come back in the morning because the tenant agreed to be there in the morning, but was not. I told the techs to just leave so that they could go to other jobs and just as they were leaving, my tenant showed up and they were able to get in and fix it. In speaking to both Diane and Wally, one of the techs, several times each, they were nothing but outstandingly professional, friendly and compassionate. This absolutely went above and beyond in the face of the resistance by my tenants to be cooperative and reasonable. Which truly reflects the culture of this company. They will be my first call every time and I have informed the rest of the owners in the building of my recommendation as well as our management company. read more

2 years ago I had Quality plumping services came and replaced 8' baseboard heater because it was leaking they charged me $2400 later I had estimate to install new boiler for $7900 from QPS Then I called Polar heating and air conditioning they estimated $4200 also install Crown boiler which is better then Burham series 3 was proposed by QPS. Therefore I think they are over charged customers and suggesting you to call other company like Polar heating and conditioning to compare the price before sign contract with QPS. read more

This company I believe is as good as it gets, and it starts out with the people I dealt with Diane, Dan and Kevin. My problem started one evening when I had a plumbing problem that resulted in water coming out of one of my lights in the kitchen. I quickly called my other past "24/7" plumbing company, I talked to an answering service, and they never got back to me until the next day. I called Quality Plumbing right after that call and immediately talked to Diane. At first I feared I needed somebody there that night, but after talking about the problem with her, she re-assured me it could wait until the morning (saving much more expensive after hours charges) and I had the crew of Dan and Kevin right on time at 8:00 AM the next morning. They immediately analyzed the situation, and came up with a plan to rod the system (Guess I should not throw dental floss down the toilet!!!), then replace the toilets since they were not really good quality, and were originally not installed properly by the builder (thus the reason I had the water leak). The team did a fast, thorough, and professional job. Along the way, they were able to answer some other unrelated plumbing questions I had, including checking out my existing sump pump system in the basement. No question I will call these guys whenever I have any future plumbing needs!! 100% recommended as far as I am concerned. read more

Five stars doesn't do Quality Plumbing Services the justice that it deserves. Late on Labor Day, my sink started backing up. I later found out that half of my building was having the same problem. We called John who patiently listened to our description of the situation, conferenced in another commercial tenant in the building to explain the situation and describe the remedy. Two technicians were dispatched and at our building in less than an hour (this was 10:30 PM on a holiday!), and were able to quickly assess the problem and prescribe a resolution. The gentlemen were very polite, friendly and helpful going above and beyond what needed to be done to correct the problem. We liked them so much, we scheduled them to come back and do some routine maintenance. I could not be happier with this experience and everyone in the building that interacted with them felt the same way. I know exactly who I will be contacting if I ever need any plumbing work done in the future. Keep up the great work! read more

If I could give this place 1/4 star I would. The sewer pipe that runs from my house to the clean out broke 5ft away from my house. As my husband I called around trying to get 2-3 people to come out and give us a reasonable quote, I come across this place. When I called and explained the situation before I can even ask if he would be able to come out to give me a quote he asked me, "how deep is the pipe"? I told him the pipe was about 7-8 feet. I almost fell out of my damn seat when he told me, "well in order for me to dig that up, you are looking at $1k a foot and about a 3-day job". WTF is wrong with people and why do people feed off of taking advantage of others in a time of need. Needless to say, I said thanks,but no thanks and hung up. After three estimates I hired a licensed plumber to do the work in 4 hours for $2300. Please, please do you research and try not to panic and hire the first asshole to complete a job that you can get done for a lot less because they want to take advantage of people in a bind. read more

Their prices are a ripoff. I had an emergency with my water heater with a malfunctioning control valve and leaking water. I ended up purchasing a new water heater from them. it was Bradfordwhite RG250T6N and they charged me $1890 for this, in addition to a dispatch fee of 179.95. When I looked online later, I saw prices for this model around $800. It was an emergency in the early morning and I did not have time to do comparison shopping. I knew I will be paying a little bit more, but this is way overpriced. read more

Wow! I have never been so impressed by any plumbing company as Quality Plumbing Services, Inc. I live in a six-flat vintage condominium building in Rogers Park, Chicago. Our commercial hot water heater died on Monday, and we were up and running by Tuesday afternoon. Not only do we have plenty of hot water, we have a recirculation pump that allows instant hot water from any faucet in the building without having to wait. I would normally run water at my kitchen faucet for over 10 minutes before I felt hot water. Now it's under 10 seconds! We also have consistent water pressure because they replaced corroded pipes. Now when I take a shower, I have consistent water temperature and pressure from start to finish. John and Wally took care of everything for us. They explained upfront, in detail and in layman's terms what the issues were, what needed to be done, and why. They were very professional, and left the our utility room even cleaner than when they first arrived. With all the new piping, the hot water heater looks like a piece of art. Great work, fair price. Water was dripping thru my basement ceiling, and I had no idea where it was coming from. A friend had highly recommended Wally and John, and now I will too. At 8:30pm, I found I had no hot water....because all the hot water had poured out of the 40-gallon heater and turned my basement into a pond. At 8:50pm, Quality Plumbing had been dispatched. The tank needed to be replaced--they carried the tank on their truck so they could do it right away, even though it was 10pm on a Thursday night. While they were installing it, I checked the prices for new hot water heaters online and their "emergency pricing" was still entirely consistent with buying a similar water heater at Sears or Home Depot and having it installed. 4 hours after the flood, everything was fixed and cleaned up. I am very impressed and would use them for any plumbing need in the future. read more

Called them for a faucet leak on a Thursday night. technician advised switching off the water line to the heater and get it fixed in the morning instead of the higher price for Thursday night service. Appointment time was 10-12 on Friday but they turned up at 12:30 ish but called saying they were running late. They did a good job of fixing the faucet leak and cleaned up everything and were very professional but as another reviewer pointed out they are EXPENSIVE. They charge $290 for the repair and there was a coupon which bought it down to $265. On some other day I would pay the $59 trip fee and not use them to fix it or maybe will get a new faucet from home depot installed for the repair price but this was one of those days where I wanted to get it done and did not have the motivation to delay it. (maybe the appointment getting delayed to noon worked in their favor !!) . If not for the high price I would give a higher rating. At this price point it might be tough to delight customers. They do give all pricing before they start the repair but you do not get the pricing on the phone so be prepared for a sticker shock if you plan on calling them for a repair service. Looks like they might have charged me the emergency night rates or something. I checked with Home Depot and other installers and the max I was quoted was $165 for installing a new faucet where as quality showed me some binder with $590 for installing a faucet (just labor and not including the faucet)!! I called these guys on a Saturday night to fix a dripping valve on the cheap water heater I was left by the previous owner of my new condo...they explained the whole thing and it was a pretty easy fix but i decided to just get a new water heater - a better water heater - and they installed it right then and there! This was after midnight...and they were courteous, incredibly professional and they did exactly what they said they would do. They may not be the cheapest in town but it did not make sense to price shop for something so imperative like my water heater...why risk it? better safe than sorry?...I say better quick, safe and satisfied than sorry. read more

They came out and replaced a water heater in just 2.5 hours, on Mother's Day, no less! Wally, the manager, walked us through the process late Saturday night. They arrived promptly at 9am Sunday morning, and by 11:30am, it was done, and we had hot water by noon! I had a plumbing emergency on Thanksgiving weekend 2015. I woke up to sewer water backing up in my condo bathroom, out of my toilet AND bathtub! All of the Condo Board members were out of town for the holiday weekend and I was freaking out and didn't know who to call....I called Quality Plumbing and they were here, on a holiday weekend, within the HOUR!!! They assessed the problem correctly, AND FIXED IT IN UNDER 2 HOURS! They also provided sound advice for necessary maintenance for the sewer catch basins for our building, to prevent this problem from occurring in the near future which they said WOULD, if we didn't do specific things they educated me on, for the future. The 2 guys who came out, I believe had a combined 20 years of experience. They were WONDERFUL, and I learned from research later, that their prices very competitive for an emergency call on a holiday weekend. I owe them so big and they saved my condo, since I also learned that homeowners insurance rarely covers flooding damage (to my bathroom in this case), caused by an existing problem from a communal pipe, in the type of building I live in...they saved the day for me, and quite frankly for my whole building, since the potential water damage if this would have gone on just a few more hours, would have been catastrophic to the whole building and potential flooding in our basement etc...THANK YOU SO MUCH QUALITY PLUMBING AND SCOTT AND PHIL!!! read more

We moved into an older home a couple months ago and within a week of moving in we had to call quality plumbing in the middle of the night for what turned out to be a very expensive/labor intensive problem - a broken sewer pipe. Quality plumbing came out within an hour & a half, with two highly knowledgeable employees. They knew the problem immediately. By 8am that morning, they had contacted our village and the village was out marking lines in our grass when we woke up. They brought the permit from the village by 1pm and they also started work at 9am that morning. We ended up needing two days of work and at one time there were at least 5 guys here. The manager was one who had come overnight when we first noticed we had a problem and he said he would try to come back to monitor. He actually followed through on that which was appreciated. The work was done quickly and they were super clean with everything. You wouldn't even know they were there. We interacted with several employees throughout this process and every single one of them was exceptional - professional, nice, knowledgeable, accommodating. The office manager was also absolutely wonderful. At the time, I was 9 months pregnant and we also have a small child. She was very friendly, nice, and helpful to accommodate us payment wise. E would highly recommend this company and will be using them for all plumbing in the future. read more
