Well, at least the mattress was comfortable even if it only came with four small throw pillows. When we asked for more pillows they told us they had none. It wasn't filthy but it wasn't all that clean either. Off the mattress wasn't comfortable, they would only get 1 star. Buyer beware. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Upon entering my room, I was meant by a very unpleasant smell. There was blood on the light switch, something splattered all over the bathroom wall and a dying cockroach in the shower. I went to the front desk clerk. Quietly explained what I found and asked for s refund for the 3 nights I was booked for because there was no way I was staying there. She said, "of course" did something on the computer and said I was all set. I promptly left to go to a different hotel. 3 days later I am texted a receipt from the Quality Inn West Springfield showing t that I was fully charged for the original 3 nights that I had booked before finding g the nightmare that paid behind my hotel door. I contacted customer service and the only thing they are offering me is a voucher for another stay!! I fully plan on disputing the charges with my credit card and hopefully receive a refund. We checked in last night after a long day at a Horse Show. Upon arrival we were greeted by a condom at the entrance and a few cop cars. We walk in to the lobby and there were multiple people in the lobby that live on the first floor??? One woman this morning was complaining at the desk that the entire stay people kept trying to get in her room. I will say the room was good and the shower exceptional. This morning there was pizza in the elevator and several liquor bottles and vomit on the side of our truck! I complained to the front desk and he shrugged it off! Never again! read more

We had just stayed at the worst motel ever - Days Inn in Albany (Colonie), so anything was better. Maybe my review is a little biased, but I think it's accurate. The location is good and we had no problem finding it. I checked us in and the clerk at the desk was amazing. Great personality, warm smile and a good sense of humor. Good start! He told me that the pool was closed, due to some health reasons - not good! We were looking forward to a nice swim, since it was 89 degress and 90%+ humidity that day. Bummer! We went to our room on the 3rd floor. The elevator isn't great, but it got us up. The hallway stunk of pot - not a good sign. We got to our room and entered. It was fine - call it excellent comparted to the last place, but realistically, it was fine. The sheets nice and clean - check. Carpet clean - check. A/C working - check. No funny smells - check. Bathroom looks good - check. Lights work - check. We're in business! We had a nice large sliding door to the outside, however it faced the highway, so it was noisy. The A/C was noisy. The people in the next room were noisy - until very late at night! Anyway, we were tired and we fell asleep and didn't wake up until 10:00 am - yes, it was a very good night's sleep! I jumped in the shower, then shaved and got dressed. It had rained that night and it was humid - I don't like humidity. I was a little slow getting packed and I headed down to check out. The gal at the desk was friendly - I asked if we could get some breakfast, but they closed it up at 9:00 am (6:00 am PST, which is our time). Okay, not breakfast - that's okay. As I was checking out, my better half was getting ready to leave the room and someone who called themself the hotel manager asked if she was leaving - odd, because we've never had this happen before. It almost felt like they do this because they have problems with people staying too long. Anyway, she let me know what happened. We got a good laugh and we set about our busy day. I think it was a good room. Price was a little high for the level of motel and the location, but it served it's purpose. I would stay here again. read more

After reading reviews i was skeptical about staying at this hotel. Especially being that i was staying along with about 20 other rooms for my wedding guests. This hotel must have made a big turn around. Besides a little confusion at the front desk and the elevator getting stuck for a few which was quickly resolved and common everything went perfect for my wedding stay...Thanks to Catherine! Everyone said their rooms were comfortable and clean. They were newly renovated and spacious. Check in was on time and even early. The kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was good! It is Conveniently located to stores and restaurants which helped for last minute planning! She even decorated my room for my wedding night. If you are holding an event and need rooms for a large group i would say this is the perfect place. Thank you for accommodating all my needs as a bride and dealing with me and us! read more

There was absolutely nothing we liked about this stay. This is one of those properties where an investor has purchased it and has spent no money updating or maintaining the property, but just wants to reap the benefits of charging people to stay here when this hotel should be shut down because of the numerous health violations. We were told our room would be cleaned every two days, and we were there for five days and our room was never cleaned once. Even after I requested our room to be cleaned on the third day and the fourth day it never got cleaned. We had no clean towels and had to go down to the front desk and ask for them. The ceilings above the beds were growing mold and there was mold on the bathroom walls. I cut my foot on a spiked carpet transition strip that runs between the bathroom and the room carpet. It appears that somebody shoved folded up newspaper over it, because this hotel does not prioritize guest safety. The carpet was all frayed with food and debris under the transition as well. The halls and rooms smelt like sewage, and timed spray air fresheners were placed at head level going down the halls and one sprayed my daughter as we were walking past it. I have never stayed at a hotel that has been this filthy, and that was so neglected in the past 35 years of traveling in my entire life. I plan on reporting this hotel to local and state health authorities. Nobody should have to stay and live under these conditions not only was the hotel dirty. It was unhealthy with mold, growing on ceilings and bathroom walls and above sleeping areas. Andy at front desk was great, he gets 5 stars. But the hotel gets only two. The room was not wiped down like the microwave and fridge as they had smudge marks. A/C drainage on balcony, sheets smelled like mildew, trim peeling away from outside sliding glass door, road noise from freeway. Do not reccomend. read more

This hotel was recommended by the USA Gymnastics event planners. The reviews on here absolutely terrified me when I finally got around to looking (after booking and after the cancelation date), so I thought I'd check in here to set things a little more even. Also, the reviews on booking.com and tripadvisor.com are a more reasonable and accurate for this hotel. So, I'm giving this hotel a 4 on a scale including only budget hotels, as this is a very affordable spot. This is not a 4 in terms of all the hotels I've ever stayed in. Also, I'm giving this review as a mom - and for most of you, you get then that my standards are a little looser. Haha. We stayed here for a quick overnight before my son's regional gymnastics meet. The good: - The location was convenient. Lots of chain stores and restaurants in the vicinity. I didn't try Tokyo Cuisine, which is the Chinese restaurant attached to the hotel, but there were a ton of people there. - Cleanliness (what matters most). The room we stayed in appeared to have been recently renovated. The beds were in fresh white linens (including the bedspreads) and very clean. Clean bathroom. Clean, bright rug. - Breakfast. With little kids trying to get somewhere early, the breakfast was great. Bagels, toast, mini-donuts, cereal (Raisin Bran, Lucky Charms), tea, coffee, juice, water, hot chocolate. They also had make-your-own waffles, eggs, sausage, and potatoes. They also had oatmeal and yogurt. It was a great perk. - Parking: free. - Showers: clean and no tub, so you slide the glass door, and step in. It was hot and they provided the basic toiletries. Needs Improvement: - There is only an outdoor pool, but the way the photos show it, it appears to be indoor, so that was a disappointment for my kids. I wouldn't stay here again because we only stay where they have a pool. - Air quality: You couldn't open any windows in the room. There's a sliding door that goes onto a balcony, but it was jammed shut. So, that made me nervous (just for fire safety), but also it meant I couldn't get any fresh air at all. - Some broken things: They are clearly making the best of a somewhat shoddy foundation for a hotel. So, the bathroom door didn't close all the way (we didn't care b/c we are a family). The reading light over the bed wasn't working, so I just hauled a standing lamp over. And, the standing lamp couldn't shut off with a switch, so we just unplugged it. - Thin walls: We could hear music pumping in the next room over, but it didn't affect my sleep. read more

The only thing good about this hotel was the updated room. The front desk messed up our reservation. We wanted to pay cash and the lady said when we offered to pay at check in, that we pay at checkout and just needed to have $100 incidental held on a credit card. Ok fine. Except they charged the WHOLE ROOM on the credit card and not the $100. AND AFTER TAKING OUR CASH! The man the next day said they would refund the room charge and nothing will go through. For some reason they charged another $10.80 on the card and NEVER refunded the room charge on the credit card. They said the $10.80 is a daily charge and would not go through. Now we have a dispute with them on our credit card. And the charge on the credit card took away our spending money and we could not do half the stuff we wanted due to their mistakes! I have stayed at many different hotels when we travel, and have NEVER EVER experienced this kind of discombobulated service. Needless to say, we will never stay there again! read more

If I could leave a 0, I WOULD!! Never been somewhere dirtier. Elevator looks and feels like it's gonna break down at any second. Finally get into our room, as a fellow housekeeper I deep check the beds and bath like anyone should. The shower was full of hair, the doors weren't even touched, soap residue and water marks all over, told front desk and was told back that they could "maybe" get a housekeeper up to clean it and that it was a possibility to get cleaner to do ourselves, neither of these happened. Beds were fine upon first glance. Cabinets and counters all chipped up and room just really looks run down. Once we actually got into the beds I could see that there were stains everywhere. My friend went to take a shower, and the door ACTUALLY fell off on his foot. At this point, we were made to move. Next room, same thing, dirty shower and stained beds. Just this time instead of a broken shower, we got a tv with a missing HDMI cord and no way to watch anything. Actually ruined our trip and made us want to go home a day early, at least we got our room refunded for the night we wouldn't be staying. Will never be staying here again read more

This hotel should be your very LAST LAST resort on the Riverdale Road Strip! It is very dirty, very outdated, the halls smell bad , and there is trash all around the building. The pool is indoor , it was closed , it was rundown and broken. The staff is more interested in taking your money than fixing up the place . The beds are lumpy and old. The staff was rude and they spoke broken English, very hard to understand. Not very accommodating . Bed frames on balconies, furniture outside, and not a single car. A few local inquiries revealed that it is used as a homeless shelter. I would call this a $80/a night hotel. The location was good for going to the Big E and MGM. Cleanleness was fine, no issues. The room included a mini fridge and microwave. Breakfast wasn't anything special and you would be better off going out to eat. There's a Chineese restaurant attached to the hotel, I did not try it, but a cool feature. There is a pool, outdoor with a werid greenhouse like stucture bulit over it. I sleeped fine, but my boyfriend complained of children screaming. We overheard a guest complaing at the front desk of the noise and how he called the front desk at 2am. The showers were not very hot on the first night, but it seemed to be fixed on our second day. Overall, it was fine but nothing special. Considering there are a lot of other hotels in a 2 mile radius don't overpay for this one. read more

We stayed here one night and I am glad it was just one night. The rooms were humid and dirty and the staff was unattentive and just rude. The place needs a serious upgrade and I felt as if I would be robbed in the lobby. It was the cheapest place around the area but I think we could have paid a bit more t be safe and clean. The bathrooms were nasty and full of hair in the tub. I have to say I have stayed in motels that were better than this and cheaper. I would stay away, stay far away. My room was comfortable and more amenities than I would expect at a low-cost hotel: refrigerator, safe, nice shower, etc. The room was large enough to do stretches in and the breakfast was adequate. The hotel looks a bit old but the facilities are up-to-date and work well. From other reviews I've seen, it appears that the hotel was renovated and perhaps that management has changed. I have stayed in many hotels but this was by far the most unpleasant stay I have had. At check out, whoever the very unpleasant unprofessional man who dealt with us should not be in this line of work. He said because he found a pack of cigarettes in the room we must have been smoking in there so he was charging us 100 dollars. I wasn't even upset about that ridiculous excuse but I was infuriated that he was talking to me like I was stupid. His customer service skills are ridiculously awful and when commented on it he actually argued with me like I was some person on the street and he wasn't at work and then asked everyone else in the room, other customers, what they thought ... Ridiculous if you ask me everyone Sat there and laughed at him. No wonder why this hotel has bad ratings. I'll be sure to never stay w this company ever again and I will make sure my friends and family don't as well. read more

One star is too high of a ranking for this 'hotel'. In October 2017 I booked a reservation for two rooms and received one confirmation number for the two rooms. In April 2018, well before the mid May cancel by date, I called to cancel the reservation and received confirmation. ONLY to be charged for one of the rooms. Hotel claims I only canceled one room! How does that work? I made one reservation for two rooms and called to cancel that reservation. After 40 minutes of the "manager' giving me an attitude and telling me I should have known they set it up as two reservations under a separate name for each room and should have known to cancel both, they hastily agreed to refund the overpriced room charge. I was not heard out as a customer as I tried to explain how they could improve their customer service to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else but was told most 'normal' people would know this. Again I made one reservation for 2 rooms under my name and my credit card, they asked for a name for the second room but never indicated it was a separate reservation or provided a separate reservation number. I was also told that I shouldn't be angry or frustrated with them if I want them to credit me back. Book at your own risk! read more
