The installation, follow-through, and the system itself have been flawless. It has been whisper quiet and efficient, and my heating bills have dropped dramatically. The company has Mitsubishi Diamond Elite Contractor status, the highest designation, which reflects advanced Mitsubishi training and support access -- something I have since learned is vitally important. They took care of all the rebate paperwork, left my home spotless, and provided the kind of service you remember companies providing in your childhood (I'm old). Furthermore, the cost of the installation was significantly less than another larger local company. When I later had issues with another company on a similar installation that did not hold that certification, the difference in expertise became very clear. David was even kind and generous enough to offer his expertise on that situation out of the goodness of his heart. I'm extremely grateful to him and his team. This is a business we on the Peninsula should support, and they have my highest recommendation.

He did some of the work, I paid him $2,500, and then he could not actually figure out how to connect them. He walked away mid job saying he hadn't done them before. I didn't get any money back. Something seemed really off. I then called two other plumbers to review Benjamin's work and finish it. Both plumbers said it was not done correctly by Benjamin. They said there was miscalculations, the wrong material was used, etc. In the end, I had to spend a lot more to hire another plumbing company to finish Benjamin's work.

Nine months, still broken, zero accountability…read more My family has used Wilson's Plumbing for decades. We chose them for a $27,000 Mitsubishi mini-split installation despite their bid being the highest because we trusted their reputation. That trust was misplaced. One of the two units stopped cooling and started leaking water within weeks of installation. The bedroom unit works perfectly, so this isn't a design issue. It's a workmanship issue. Over nine months and more than six service visits, their lead tech added refrigerant multiple times without ever using a scale (a basic industry requirement), repeatedly told the office the unit was "working properly" when it wasn't, and never followed through on a Mitsubishi warranty case. I called Mitsubishi myself and they confirmed they'd been waiting weeks for a callback that never came. An independent contractor (Bellows Plumbing) confirmed what I'd been saying all along: the system wasn't functioning and appeared to have a refrigerant leak. Wilson's agreed to pay for that inspection. Their own technician later found the system critically low on refrigerant, yet somehow reported "no leak found." Beyond the HVAC failure, the crew's conduct on-site was unprofessional. I asked them to move my glass-top printer cabinet before working near it. They refused, then dropped a screwdriver on it and shattered the glass. To their credit, they did replace the top at their expense. But they also tracked dog waste through my house and scratched my walls with their ladder. The carelessness was consistent from start to finish. I've requested written documentation of service visits multiple times over three months. Never received it. Phone calls go unreturned. Heather is perpetually "unavailable." I gave this company every opportunity to make it right privately. Extensions, patience, benefit of the doubt. After nine months of broken promises and a unit that still doesn't work, I've had to file a bond claim and formal complaints just to get a response. If you're considering Wilson's for HVAC work, get everything in writing and document everything from day one. I wish I hadn't had to learn that lesson this way.

The dispatcher said they fixed these units, so we asked them to come and check our softener out. She said it would be $100 to come out to diagnose the problem. The guy showed up a few days later in his fancy truck. He saw our softener and immediately said, "we don't fix those; you need one of these". He pulled out a binder and tried to sell me on a three-stage water filtration system. He said no one gets water softeners anymore. I told him I like my softener and just want it fixed. He kept trying to sell me on the $4000 filtration system, at which time I told him I don't want that system. He said he could get me a new softener system but that would cost about the same. I told him I just want my Pentair unit fixed, simple as that. He told me he couldn't do it. He didn't even look at the system. I called two other plumbers, and no one seems interested in fixing my system. I went to YouTube and looked up how to diagnose and fix Pentair softener problems. They had a great rebuild page for the softener. It turns out I had a cracked piston and faulty seal, causing my softener to leak. $120 later an about an hour to disassemble/assemble, I got my softener up and running again. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS....a total scam company!!!! Call someone else or do it yourself!!!

We chose him because of how clearly he talked the details, from paint chemistry for a salt air climate to the right way to replace those old cedar shingles. He also had a new kitchen window created from scratch to match the ones in the rest of the old house. Over the 3 - 4 week project, Omar and his crew invariably left the place immaculate, no clutter, no mess. The answer to nearly ever request was "Yes, we can do that." While they are not cheap, the tab for all of the extras we asked for was fair. And we have no doubt that the work will hold up very well. When you think about how valuable your home is, why would you not hire the best in the business to fix whatever is wrong with it? The property will appreciate, and pay you back 10X over.

The water heater comes with 10 years' maintenance and warranty. So the annual fee I was paying for flush/service is now included. Great! That saves me about $125/year. I believe this is transferable to the new owner (that's what our Reliable technician explained to me but I'll have to check my warranty papers and will update this review once I do). Shelly further explained that the technician sincerely believed I would have hot water for the night and they are truly sorry for the inconvenience. I'm a reasonable person and understand that we can't always control outcomes and it would seem in this case, the technician made a fair assessment but unfortunately the end result was unexpected (and inconvenient for me). In the end, I have a fabulous new water heater with an exceptional warranty (fingers crossed) and I've decided to keep with Reliable Plumbing & Heating so they'll be back later this year for our annual water heater & furnace check up/service. All's well that ends well. Thank you to Shelly and the good folks at Reliable for reaching out to me and making things right. Appreciatively! ORIGINAL post (12/7/2016): The 50 gallon water heater replacement cost $2769. Sure it came with a 10-year warranty, but for the cost I could've bought two! My appointment was rescheduled twice, and "Reliable" showed up on day 3. The rescheduling caused me to re-arrange my work schedule three times to allow for that 2 to 4 hour window required. The appointment required a return visit. I was left without hot water for the night and without warning. Bird bath for me and couldn't wash my hair. Washed my face in cold water. Terrible. Ultimately got a new water heater but with much inconvenience and cost. Expected better from Reliable. I received their thank you card. Apparently whoever completes those cards has no idea about the actual customer experience. There was no apology or awareness of my dissatisfaction, though I called twice to express both items. Hope next year's plumber (may use different company) will do better. I've used Reliable for over 4 years. What a shame this last experience was so deeply disappointing.

My Flume kicked up an alert that I had a water leak, and sadly after much personal elimination, I realized it was between the house and the water meter. For most people, this would be a blessing, but for us, it meant around 300 ft of mains pipe that turned out was buried under the drive. I found the leak detection specialists who spent a few sessions narrowing down the root cause by eliminating all alternatives, and then set about pinpointing. Once done, they tapped Chase on the shoulder and he came up to sketch out the steps we needed to take. Shore up the anomalies at the meter then excavate the pipe, fix and backfill. I think we saw 2 or three of his crews and tbh they were all really nice people... My only frustration is my retro game tee was correctly spotted and in a weak moment I stupidly said I'd get chase one if he gets me sorted :-) .. Well he did and it arrives in a few days so I'll be texting you Chase ! I think we were in the top 2% on a scale of difficulty finding the leak as it was a small leak .22Gal/min, well buried and under Asphalt. Its not a quick thing to fix as we were technically without running water to the house for around 2 weeks ( I cannot articulate how painfully stressful it was or how little fun it was to manually turn on and off the mains to fill the toilets and sinks for the day ahead as a military maneuver with my wife and I). I hate spending money but with he level of professionalism from both the Leak detection crew and Clifton it eased my wallet pain and they just delivered at a level that reassured us we were in the right hands ! I dont think Clifton come cheap but they deliver and I have a goto plumber now !... thank you ...
