Michael was quick to respond to Yelp inquiries as well as phone. He is professional, factual and most importantly he is quick and fairly priced. Our heater has been on the fritz for quite a while (maybe a year now) and we were able to manually turn it on ourselves for the last so many months. Recently it stopped responding to the manual start, so we contacted Quality Heating and Cooling to diagnose the problem. Michael came out today and was able to diagnose the problem in minutes, and fix the problem in about half an hour. He also gave me some information about how to best get airflow to the unit to avoid corrosion and avoid future problems, as well as information about safety since our unit does not have a limit. A rat made a nest in our furnace, and it ceased functioning. The technician diligently tested all furnace functions and narrowed the issue to the circuit board (which the nest sat on). He tried to clean the board to avoid the cost of replacement, but was unable to get it working due to the excessive rat activity. He had a replacement ordered and installed within a day and a half. He sealed possible rat entry points, inspected our hot water heater to see if it was vulnerable, and provided expert advice on two issues with our furnace related to improper original installation, which he remedied at very low cost. We were very happy with the quality of the work, the service we received, and the fair price. Communication was fast and clear. Couldn't recommend Quality Heating and Cooling more strongly. read more

I was having trouble with a gas fireplace insert installed by who knows whom before I bought my house. Everyone I called said they didn't do fireplaces or didn't service ones they had not installed. Mike responded to my inquiry right away, said he could do it and came out on MLK Jr day even though he was supposed to have it off. Michael came out to help us with our floor heater in our cottage in PG. We had initially called PG&E but their service tech told us that it wasn't a pilot light issue or thermostat, and recommended we call a contractor. After reading the many positive yelp reviews, l used the app on yelp but didn't find that method effective for me. So I called his company directly and I followed Michael's instructions to text him as this would be a faster way of reaching him. He texted back quickly and was able to come by after a job he was finishing and was near my home. After talking to us he got started with his inspection and found there was no actual replacement needed, just removal of deposits from the gas valve and adjusting the opening. The heater started working again. He stayed to test several times to be sure there was no other issues. He is local and active in the community, I like knowing he's 100% invested here. Self-employed "one man shop" business so when you call you're talking with the person that will do the job and determine the costs. The rates are fair and Michael made every effort to get us a quality repair at the lowest cost using the manufacturer's warranty for the original parts that failed. The additional products used for piping were high quality selections which saves the most money over time. A cheap copper piece was replaced with an excellent upgraded segment of stainless steel flex piping. Quality is in the name for a reason but it's still an affordable service. read more
