Super friendly and efficient! Fixed our problem same day in just a couple hours. Would recommend for any plumbing needs in the peninsula area!

Chip on bottom of mirror which can't be repaired.

Caleb, the president of GP Piping, is fast at fixing plumbing mistakes and installing new plumbing. Initially, he comes across as polite and positive. But I can only recommend him for short projects, such as installing faucets and water heaters. I made the mistake of hiring him for the demo and plumbing renovation of two bathrooms. 1. During the demo, he didn't properly protect my lighted mirror which is hard-wired. He covered only the front of it, and when demoing my vanity, a piece of the vanity flew off and took a chip out of the reflective area under the glass. When I pointed it out to him, he covered the sides, but never found me a solution to fix the mirrored area and refused to pay for the damage. 2. Caleb installed a defective tub without fully checking it out in advance to see that it was warped. After he installed it, the tilers said it was making popping noises when they stood in it before they tiled the wall. At first Caleb said that he only stood in the back of the tub and there was no noise, so he installed it. But Caleb had to remove the tub and install another one with new piping. When it was time to pay the final plumbing bill, he changed his story saying he did check out the whole tub and it wasn't making a popping noise before he installed it. He argued with me about it and charged me hundreds of dollars more for redoing the installation and piping which I did not feel was ethical because he should not have installed a defective tub in the first place. 3. Caleb kept reminding me that his rate was $200 an hour, although he bid on the project at a fixed rate. $200 an hour is the highest rate possible in this area. 4. When it was time to pay the final bill, he also charged me an additional $450 for materials but never provided me with a receipt. He insisted that the materials were for supplies that he kept in his truck, which he didn't keep track of and didn't have receipts for! 5. Caleb arrived 45 minutes to an hour late on most days. He never contacted me to say he was running late, I always had to contact him first. I let him know that I was not happy with his lack of communication. He was also unreliable at returning messages and calls about what days he would be able to work which caused me a great deal of stress. I was glad to have him finish this project and to be finished with him. Caleb was unwilling to accept responsibility for his mistakes but instead overcharged me for the time it took to fix them. I would not recommend him due to his being argumentative, dishonest, and unprofessional.

After a previous company was a no-show, this guy had no openings until Monday, but squeezed me in on a Friday, and got it done fast.

Clifton Plumbing & Heating - Busy on the fix

I hired Clifton Plumbing & Heating to replace a sewer ejector pump at my home. The original pump…read morehad worked for around twenty years; the new one failed within only several months. When I later learned what their first technician had done, I was shocked: he cut the factory electrical cord, spliced it into an extension cord, taped it, and left the connection in and then it rained, and it ruined the pump. In my view, no competent professional would consider that a safe or acceptable installation. When the pump failed, the owner refused to treat it as a workmanship issue. Instead of standing behind their work, he insisted on charging me again to fix what I believe was their own defective installation. When I questioned this, he became aggressive and insulting on the phone, even making rude remarks after I mentioned that I am disabled. That kind of attitude is the opposite of professional customer service. A responsible company would install the equipment correctly the first time and, if called back within a few months, would make things right--not bill the customer a second time and respond with hostility when asked to explain. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business. Besides after I explained what happened. He constantly writes me and sends me bills, even though I write him and told him what happened. He's relentless and does not stand behind his product his business or those who work for him. Save yourself a big headache.

My Flume kicked up an alert that I had a water leak, and sadly after much personal elimination, I realized it was between the house and the water meter. For most people, this would be a blessing, but for us, it meant around 300 ft of mains pipe that turned out was buried under the drive. I found the leak detection specialists who spent a few sessions narrowing down the root cause by eliminating all alternatives, and then set about pinpointing. Once done, they tapped Chase on the shoulder and he came up to sketch out the steps we needed to take. Shore up the anomalies at the meter then excavate the pipe, fix and backfill. I think we saw 2 or three of his crews and tbh they were all really nice people... My only frustration is my retro game tee was correctly spotted and in a weak moment I stupidly said I'd get chase one if he gets me sorted :-) .. Well he did and it arrives in a few days so I'll be texting you Chase ! I think we were in the top 2% on a scale of difficulty finding the leak as it was a small leak .22Gal/min, well buried and under Asphalt. Its not a quick thing to fix as we were technically without running water to the house for around 2 weeks ( I cannot articulate how painfully stressful it was or how little fun it was to manually turn on and off the mains to fill the toilets and sinks for the day ahead as a military maneuver with my wife and I). I hate spending money but with he level of professionalism from both the Leak detection crew and Clifton it eased my wallet pain and they just delivered at a level that reassured us we were in the right hands ! I dont think Clifton come cheap but they deliver and I have a goto plumber now !... thank you ...
