Unfortunately we have had 3 major plumbing issues in the last month . It's an older house, so totally expected. Fortunately, we know Acme Plumbing and they are GREAT!! Trevor is super responsive and smart enough to send the same guy each time so he knows the ins and outs of our house. Had an issue with their guy Trevor and instead of helping to fix the issue regardless of fault maybe with price or you know try to tailor for the customer he didn't. Businesses lose loyal customers because they fail to accomodate or recognize when they either mess up via wording or other things. Anyway I will never do business with them again. read more

Acme Plumbing had the best rates (and most knowledgeable) of 4-5 other companies I contacted. Trevor even walked me through the process before I committed to the job. Tony is simply awesome, and was able to install my filters and softener same day. He is a pro at what he does and seamlessly understands all parts, outlets and installation mechanisms. Please do not use Acme Plumbing~ After 10 minutes, having been paid $149, the agent declared my home air heater was so old it could not be fixed. So he sent an estimate for around $4000. I called another local company, who also noticed how old the system was, but jumped in and repaired two key parts, billing a total of $1000. The heater works as new. Shame on bellows. We had a water line break in our front yard and water was flowing into the gutter. Trevor from Acme Plumbing responded and the problem was bigger than anticipated. It took a day and a half to resolve but Trevor resolved it, even to the point of working into the night (until 9 PM) the first day, a Friday. He then returned Saturday morning and took the entire day to finish the job. He then returned on Sunday morning to insure the leak was in fact stopped before covering the hole. He went above and beyond as far as I was concerned. When he showed me the cost of the service, I was pleasantly surprised as I thought it was going to cost much more. read more

Ed the owner is a piece of work. Hung up on me when I had a question about the amount due and said he would sue me. There was no mention by me of not paying for their service. And they did not provide a written estimate which is probably why we had a different take on the final amount. I had to email, text several times and eventually called and spoke with their office manager to pay the bill as we never received an invoice. You may not experience Ed's fury but why risk dealing with the possibility? read more

Wow! I called at 9am and at 10:15 Mark shows up. He quickly assed the issued and went to his work truck and grabbed his tools. He snaked the toilet and found that was not the issue. Turns out there was a build up of calcium around the water drain into the bowl. He chiseled the calcium out so it would flush properly. Yeah!! He recommended a new toilet but at least it worked for now. I appreciated the quality service, kindness and quick response. I would 100% recommend. read more

This company was recommend to me as my 90 year of home sewer line failed and needed to be replaced. The AMCE crew got to work quickly, kept their work area super clean, safe, and orderly. Acme is a mixed bag. They have helped us out of emergency situations in short order, but when it comes to more finesse work, we get left out in the cold. Communication is poor. We've had them change the schedule with no notice, only to find out they weren't coming by that day after all, and we missed work for nothing, MULTIPLE times. Craftsmanship is ok. Again, if it's an emergency fix, Acme is there for you. But they actually broke our shower spout (and misaligned the handle) in repairing a leak in a different part of the house. I understand if they can't patch the walls (that's a drywaller's job), but we're still waiting for our shower handle and valve repair weeks later. I believe they have forgotten about us. :( Professionalism is poor. Is leaving a mud trail through your home necessary? After NOT repairing the problem, the mud is adding insult to injury. You can certainly do better. I'm sure that if we were friends or family we'd get a better quality service. Sadly, we're just us. read more

The contractors/employees did a good job working. This was the second time I requested them but unfortunately the last. Work was good but the owner was very shady this time around. He informed me it was 102 an hour plus parts and taxes. My bill supposed to have been 372.00 for 3 hours of labor and parts/taxes. He tried to charge me 678.00. He was charging me 202 a hour and told me it was due to two guys he sent. Now, if I knew this was his rules in general I may have checked elsewhere. He said 102 a hour not per hour per plumber. When I was discussing this with him over the phone he tried to intimidate me and threaten me with a lawsuit if I wasn't to pay. I expressed to him that I will pay the correct amount of 372 but not this extra stuff you tried to sneak in. He then tried to negotiate and throwing all these numbers at me and I told him that that won't cut it. I'll pay the agreement you told me. He then said, "I guess I'll sue you" and hung up. He then called the contractors and they discussed stuff and said that 372 was good. (Now waiting game and hoping he doesn't try and charge me more than I agreed and signed for.) Again, ratings is due to the owner/boss NOT the workers. The workers did a great job and was very nice and professional. read more

Last night at around 9:30, our toilets, showers & sinks in the back of the house became backed up. I, as usual went on Yelp to figure out who to call. Acme got great reviews so I decided to start with them. Their website said they opened at 8AM, so I figured I'd call at 7:45 to leave a voicemail & hope someone would call me back. I was suprised when the owner (Ed? I'm so bad at names) picked up. After I explained the issue he said he was on his way to the office & would call me back. He then added; "don't worry. We'll get it fixed." About 10min later he called me right back. Said he could get someone out at 8:15. I was pleasantly suprised he'd be able to have someone come out so quick! Nick showed up promptly at 8:20. I felt like he did a thorough job assessing what the problem was before he just started working based on what I told him the issue going on. It was a more extensive job then he had anticipated but he rolled with it & didn't say he'd have to come back another time. Got it fixed within 2.5 hours. Gave me verbal/written feedback that he felt there was another issue going on & that he recommended I call to schedule another visit so this wouldn't happen again. (I did not feel like he was just pushing for more money.) I already scheduled that appointment in fact. Definitely recommend them! Thank you. read more
