Jon Kopp of Quality Epoxy is potential BIG trouble. He has a large self-promoting website but dubious ethical practices and a difficult personality. Examples: he withheld showing me the work contract until after the job was completed, he inflated the price, tried to charge me an unwarranted sales tax, and after accepting his proposed compromise price, he renigged and threatened a lien on my property. If you are tempted to go with this guy, make sure you have all your legal documents and consider a lawyer review them. If you are already scammed as I am, report him to your state attorney general's consumer office and your state registrar of contractors. read more

Paid 18750 for a floor that looks like garbage. It will have to be completely ripped out, and redone. He also broke my $10000.00 drain system and lied straight to my face about it. I would not recommend Qual.... qualit.... i can't even say it. I would not recommend Jon Kopp. Multiple professional companies came to look at my floor and told me you can not do 3000 square feet with 2 people. It's impossible. 6-10 man job for metallic epoxy system. Oh, and he's not the only one that does it. read more

The reviews on this gentleman are true. He is a hot head, who will immediately refer you to an attorney if you dont like anything that he does. He is looking for a lawsuit to retire on apparently. He did the floors, and the colors looked good. But we followed up asking about a lizard that had walked into the epoxy and was now part of the floor. And we asked about the option of painting the side walls of the garage. In his return email, he was combative, cussed multiple times and immediately referred us to his attorney. Exactly what the other 1 star reviews on this page referenced. He is unprofessional. You dont want this guy knowing where you home is, because based on his responses and actions. I alway's like to hire people that have good reviews and good phone ethics , and when I get return call after leaving message .I was very impressed with this company and with the owner John he educated me on the type of work he does and the quality product and the guarantee he gives you for the work he does... because he only uses the best he may be a couple of cents more than other people out there but I am all about Quality,and not something cheap that's going to left or Peel or scratch.My husband and I Are so impressed with the quality and the way my new garage floors look I want to thank you once again !!!! for doing such a wonderful job .we are extremely happy...The coffe family. read more

I never write reviews but if this saves someone the pain of disappointment, anger and regret, it is worth it. Jon did my neighbors garage, it looked amazing so I had him do my garage floor. I can't tell you how disappointed I am with the outcome. I sent him pictures of the floor after waiting days to walk on it and being able to open the garage door. The are stones, globs of paint that look like big bugs and fishes in the paint. He put the first coat on in the morning and came back at 8 pm to put the other coats on it. He didn't sweep, blowout, whatever, the stones on the floor. He rushed it he was in hurry and wanted to get it done with. You could tell by his attitude that he didn't want to be here. He just start applying the paint. Anyway, after I told him and sent pictures to him that the globs of paint look like big bugs and his responds was "Unfortunately we don't coat over bugs we do quality work". I told him it is globs of paint that looked like bugs! Then he mentions the contact, I read the contract. It doesn't say anything about the stones he didn't clean out after he had grind the floor. I would not recommend Quality Epoxy LLC. I don't care how many articles he has written or magazines he has been in he does shoddy work and doesn't stand by his work. I read the reviews but not the ones on google or yelp. Wish I would have discovered them before I had the floor done. There are several companies out there, find one that stands by their work. If I could leave this review without giving a star or a negative star I would. read more

Scheduled with the owner. Cleaned out the garage, scheduled my Saturday around it and they never showed up. Called 5 times and emailed twice with no answer. read more

Jon did an amazing job almost 2 year ago on my garage floor. The floor had a small area that was peeling. When I called Jon, he came out within a few days to inspect the floor. This is the most unprofessionally run business I've ever communicated with. I found his company "Quality Epoxy" on Facebook. He had a recent post stating a promotional deal running until the end of the year. He was advertising $3.75 a square ft for his work on a two color metallic garage floor. I reached out to him in regards to having my garage flooring done using his promotional deal. He did not read or care much about what information that I sent to him in my quote request. After going back and forth with him and his generic pre-made email templates I finally got him on the phone. After re explaining what I was trying to accomplish we finally set an install date of December 16th. This whole time he never acknowledged any of my prior emails or quote requests and he finally decides to lay a big surprise on me. He says that my promotional price for install is going to jump up from his advertised $3.75 sq ft to $6 sq ft due to me not living within a 5 mile radius. Completely false advertising and even took it upon himself to tell me that an Uber driver charges different rates all over the Phoenix valley. Now I'm not being unrealistic because I even offered to pay a tad bit more then his promotional price due to living in Peoria AZ which he declined. After reading these other reviews I'm actually glad that I didn't get duped Into having him install his faulty epoxy flooring in my garage. Sounds like the quality of his work level or professionalism rate the same. Crappy! 1 Star. Don't use this guy! He probably won't capture much business anyways you live in Gilbert. Excellent! They did an amazing job on my retail store a few weeks ago and went much smoother than I could have ever expected. Writing reviews is not something I often take the time to do, but when I do I mean it. Every time I drive or walk into my garage I look at the floor with appreciation. He was a great guy to work with as well. Very kind, fair (important!), informative, and professional. The guy I mistakenly called BEFORE I found Quality Epoxy was a waste of time and money. John came in, started from scratch - and made me a happy customer. It's been 2 years now and my floor is still as beautiful as if John just drove off. If there was a negative star I would use it. Worst job ever very amateur. Ruined my driveway by acid washing my garage floors. I have pictures and proof of everything I'm saying. Don't sign his contract unless you read every line as he covers every angle and you can't get anything or have him redo anything. He sent me a check for $200 because he knew I was unhappy. But the letter stated if I cash the check I can't write any bad reviews. I will not go away for $200. Jon the owner has a very hot temper and very threatening. He has an incredible website but don't be fooled like I was! He will NOT come to your house to show you anything or give you pricing everything is done over the phone. Then he shows up at 5:30 in the morning and is in a hurry to have you sign the contract. Don't do it read every WORD. You will be happy you did. Don't make the same mistake I did. Jon recently finished our garage floor and we could not be more satisfied with his work. My home was built in 1978, so needless to say, the 30+ year old garage floor was in pretty bad shape. The previous owners had painted it several times with what looked to be black latex paint, and the slab was riddled with oil and other stains. This was no problem for Jon. By the end of the first day, the slab was already prepped and covered in its first coat of epoxy. Awesome! Jon always arrived when he said he would, was extremely courteous and professional, and worked quickly. When we were not happy with the original color we selected, Jon worked with us and our budget to make the color change (back to the color he originally suggested - we should have listened to him in the first place!). Despite having to re-do the color, Jon still finished ahead of schedule. A few weeks after the floor had been completed we noticed some bubbling in the top coat which seemed to be caused by my motorcycle's kickstand. When we called Jon about the issue, he was glad to come back out and refinish the *entire* surface, free of charge. In addition to fixing the issue, he gave us a top coat upgrade (to a harder, more durable material) free!! It's now been a month and everything is still shiny and like new. Overall Jon did an outstanding job and we would wholeheartedly recommend him to our friends and family! Thank you, Jon, for your professionalism and quality of work! read more

Two years later, I received correspondence from a second attorney with Jon's attempt to silence my constitutional right to free speech in stating exactly what transpired when he visited my business. I have been contacted with a threat of a lawsuit now by two attorneys, two civil lawsuits have been filed and then dropped against me but not once has there been any sort of apology for cussing at my employees or disrupting my business. read more
