I left a message with the business and got a call back right away from the owner Zach Culley and got on their schedule. He contacted me the day of letting me know he was on his way arriving on time. My first call went to voicemail, and he returned my call while I was leaving a voicemail message. On March 24, 2026, Zach and Craig came to our 1850 sf home to clean all the carpeting. They arrived on time and got right to work, bringing in their equipment carefully and putting corner guards in place throughout the house. One of the first things I noticed was the pleasant scent - it is very light and does not smell like chemicals. My usual preference is for no scent, but I found myself preferring this delicate scent. They were efficient and quick (but not too quick!), and the carpets looked very clean when they were through. The price is one of the most reasonable I have found in Reno and includes a military discount (thank you, Zach, for your patriotism!). Fresh Start is fairly new to our area, but not new to the business of cleaning flooring. We look forward to trying their tile cleaning service next. If you need your carpets cleaned, I feel confident recommending Fresh Start Carpet Care.

Scheduling with ChemDry was easy, and I was grateful to find out that they serve all of the Reno/Sparks area too, not just Tahoe. I am completely satisfied with the results and would recommend ChemDry to anyone, whether you have dog or cat messes or just want regular cleaning for maintenance.

This guy just did a terrific job doing things slowly but well. He really took his time to make sure he got everything that needed to get extra attention. He brought in fans to help speed up the drying and didn't mind my rather annoyed dog who couldn't figure out what this strange man was doing in his house! He's a proud local. Use him.

Kevin was so professional and easy to work with, and OMG my husband's asthma was SOOOO much better after the carpet cleaning! We have a vacation duplex that is covered in carpet and for years he has suffered increasingly bad allergies and asthma on our visits, especially when entering the house for the first time in months. Kevin gave me a reasonable price range (that was less than what some of the out of town competitors offered, and then gave me a detailed invoice informing me of a pet stain detected from UV light (stain must be at least 10 years old) which he cleaned. He even cleaned this old ratty carpet sitting in the garage to wipe our feet, which was ABOVE AND BEYOND! He left fans to help dry the carpet and was very relaxed about letting me leave them on the porch for him to pickup. I highly recommend working with High Altitude Carpet Cleaning! Note: Our cleaning was summer 2020, so I'm sure there are different factors for how long it takes carpet to dry in colder seasons, etc.
