Came here tonight for dinner. I had the salmon with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The salmon was dry, the broccoli was extremely overcooked- it was some strange shade of yellow and brown, and the mashed potatoes were Luke warm and kind of dry. Pretty disappointing. But my boyfriend had the chicken and shrimp Parmesan special, and it was delicious. Our server Olivia was excellent, a sweet heart. Their cook needs to be careful and do some quality control. Visited this place for the first time a couple of weeks ago. While the inside was cute, I was not impressed one bit with the service or the food. We ordered nachos for an app, and 2 salads for our main meal. Nachos were good, about standard. The service was terrible. The waitress spoke to us like children and informed us that nachos "take a some time to make" in the kitchen. My mother has worked in the food service industry for over 30+ years, but even without that, one can assume that nachos are not one of the most labor intensive dishes in the kitchen. Once the nachos were delivered, we started munching. Not 10 minutes later the server returned with our salads for our meal. With a nacho in hand, and clearly still trying to enjoy our app and conversation, she asked if we wanted it to boxed up to go. Ummm, NO! Clearly we were still eating. My Greek salad was ok, surprised to see a hard boiled egg on top. My friends Cesar salad was not mixed in dressing, but rather it came on the side, which is not standard. Over all not impressive. We have been loading down the street from this place many times, but have been unable to go. Today we went and we loved it, everything was positive no negative. To start with our waitress Amanda was great, and patient with us as we went over all the specials and menu items. So many from Uxbridge have been waiting for this restaurant to open for a while. This is where Little Tex was. I was driving by and saw a bunch of cars in there so I stopped in. The menu is your typical bar style. I started off with a Blue Moon they had on tap. I had the clam chowder which was good with the exception that I like more potatoes. It was a cold New England day so I tried the New England Pot Roast Dinner. The pot roast was very tender and the sauce was good but a little diluted. I will go back. read more

While this isn't the classiest place in the world, it was a really fun place to have some drinks and hang out with friends. Service was friendly and my quesadillas were good. They have an outdoor patio and live music in the bar on the weekend. Service was friendly, they were happy to let us take up a table and keep ordering drunks. When we first arrived it was mostly families, but by 8 or so it was mostly adults. If I was in the area and looking for a quick bite to eat/to grab a drink, I would return. read more

went in on a sunday in the afternoon, nice little place, free popcorn etc.. was very slow when we went in, we were the only ones there besides a couple people at the bar. since it was so slow there was nobody around and i had to go to the bar after 5 minutes of me and my family waiting at the hostess stand. we got sat within a couple of minutes. the service was good, the food was ok. i ordered a cuban sub and they forgot a couple of the ingredients on the sandwich but the waitress brought them to me no problem. very low key place and quiet (on sunday). ive heard about this place before and was told it was good but i cant say i thought it was great. not sure if id go back. looks very small from the outside but i was amazed the size once i went inside, they do have a decent amount of seating and was pretty big. read more

Ordered bone in stuffed chicken from menu and got boneless stuffed chicken, obviously premade from a frozen company. Ordered broccoli for a side and got green bean. Kids Mac and Cheese very dry. Steak was better than Outback. Haddock Newburg was overcooked and had almost no Newburg sauce. Asparagus was way overcooked also, they must have been already cooked and sat in the oven, its too bad because that is an easy vegetable to cook. Ordered take out. The bartender that took our order was friendly but our orders were messed up. Cheeseburgers instead of hamburgers, the buns were so soggy they were inedible, and the chips were beyond stale. The only reason they are even receiving a second star was that the prices were cheap enough that I didn't feel that bad that we threw 90% of it away. read more

I've been going here for over a year now and I've never had a bad meal. I've tried the Fried Clams, Meatloaf, Prime Rib, Burgers, Turkey Dinner (it was a special one day), Ruben sandwich and a few others I can't remember at the moment but my my favorite is Fish and Chips. The picture I loaded ( I hope I attached it correctly ) has mashed potatoes (I substituted the chips just this once) but the chips are the best around this area, in my opinion. My son also comes here quite a bit and loves the Prime Rib Dinner and Roasted Pork Dinner. Another plus, the draft beer is only $3. read more

My wife and I have lived in town for 2 years and went to Quaker Tavern for the first time tonight, mainly so I could watch the Bruins game. We sat at the bar the entire time and were very impressed. Very clean inside with nice decor. Beer prices were good and the buffalo wings were above average. Nice locals there as well. We'll definitely be back. read more

This place need a chef.They cook straight from pre cooked Sysco entrees.Limited, un interesting menu.Appetizers are all freezer to fryer pre made and unimaginative.They cant even cut fries fresh but use ore ida type crinkle cuts.Been to bar and ate 3 times.The owner was there sulking in the corner every time and doesn't have the social skills to mingle and make the guests feel welcome.They just aren't trying at all here and will be out of business within a year.Also,the bartenders aren't properly trained in either drink making or Keno. read more

We used to go but stopped because it's always cold and drafty inside plus it takes forever to get your order.....even when theres only one or two other customers. Bathrooms are filthy....i mean toilet bowl looked like it had not been brushed in weeks. No hot water to wash hands (remember that as kitchen staff use the bathrooms too) My wife said the lady's room was bad too. Food was good but not worth everything else you have to put up with. Owners never acknowledge their customers. Every day is dress down day for him. Not what you'd expect the owner of a restaurant to be/look like. Get a haircut and look presentable at least. read more

Please do not eat here, any of the staff will tell you it is absolutely horrid in the kitchen. The food is almost all reheated or fried and the kitchen is actually disgusting. Multiple times I have witnessed the head chef drop food fresh out of the fryer on the ground and then right onto a plate. Pitiful. read more

no stars here. what a joke. went there tonight and ordered prime rib for two medium rear. Well after talking about just about everything the waitress comes to our table and says "we only have medium" and states would you want to look at the menu again? well just moments before the table about 10 feet away had returned the prime rib he had ordered. I got a real funny feeling here, we decided to leave and the waitress brought a bill for a glass of wine and a beer. I then went to the waitress station that the manager was standing at and said that I could not believe that they were going to charge me for a couple of drinks when they could not even provide the menu items we asked for. I knew that the prime rib that went to the table and was returned was going to come to my table. What a joke. a good bar to hang out at for beer but the food will never be trusted. I am hopeful this place succeeds because the location is so convenient for my wife and I, although there are some concerns. Been here 6 times now and have tried a number of different entrees. As another reviewer said the quality of some food is surprisingly good, particularly the daily specials. Lobster and Salmon salads were very good, Prime rib was overcooked but was tasty, rack of baby back ribs was wonderful, burgers are good, not exceptional but cooked correctly as ordered, fresh cut fries and or sweet potato fries would be better than the frozen crinkle cuts. My only complaints are 1) my wife ordered a drink from their drink menu but it was so strong it was undrinkable. Sent it back and ordered draft beer instead but was still charged for the drink I sent back, not happy with that. 2) although we have been there numerous times now we have never even been approached by the owners/ managers who are always there. It's not necessary to get vip treatment but a friendly greeting and thanks for stopping by when leaving would seem appropriate. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive to our needs. The owner also seems to always have a beer in front of him, either at a table or sitting at the bar. This is very unprofessional. If you are not a meet them, greet them kind of owner then hire a manager who is. It will go a long way to insure success. John Taffer would not approve. read more
