Tonight I ordered the King cut of rare roast beef from Kapi's Pub, Uxbridge. When it arrived, I noticed there was no area that was red in color and only center was a light pink. Given the meat had been cooked to a possible medium rare; returning it to the kitchen was not an option. One of our go to places... we love Kapi's. Great food and drinks with super friendly and helpful people who work there! My favorites include the smothered chicken sub bomb (grilled chicken smothered in American cheese, onions, peppers, and mushrooms on a sub roll)- so much inside it thst you can eat it with a fork, the chicken quesadilla, and the grilled chicken wrap. First visit last night with a party of six, place was packed. Owner saw my post op knee and quickly set up a banquet table so I would have a low top to sit at. Planned on just drinks, but food looked great so we stayed for dinner. Chicken wings were great, crispy and good sauces. Group enjoyed everything, seems like a scratch kitchen not fried frozen food! A local dive watering place. Visited for lunch and it was hopping. The bartender/ waitress was awesome. Attentive to her bar and her table guests. The broccoli Cheddar soup was tasty and a good start to lunch. The taco salad was basic but good. The taco shell was crispy and not oily- awesome. I did add some ranch so it was not dry- highly recommend. Overall a good lunch and suggest you give it a visit. read more

Kapi's Pub is a dive but I was surprised at what fun we had here. There are two separate sections, a dining area and bar area. Three of us sat at a high top table in the bar area. We had two waitresses that served us, both were funny and quick. We started with an order of naked wings with a side of Buffalo sauce and Stinging Honey sauce. The wings were crispy and sauce's spicy. I ordered wine which was poured from a mini bottle, my friends had beer from tap. For food we ordered a hamburger, salad with grilled chicken and a Buffalo chicken wrap. My burger was cooked medium, served with crunchy tater tots and was delicious. Friends said the salad and wrap were very good and portion size was large. Watching food come out of the kitchen will make us want to come back for other menu items. The Fish & Chips looked good as well as the Country Fried Chicken dinner. We ate, talked and drank for about two hours. Overhearing other patrons were funny and everyone seemed to have a good time. Someone played a prank by putting what appeared to be a real $20 bill in the mens room urinal. It was fake and the bill eventually disintegrated. read more

I only went in a couple of times for a beer and it always just seems like the bartender wants to close. Maybe I am going in on the wrong night. This is the epitome of a fabulous local pub. Don't expect more than what you get; this place doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is, which adds to why it's so fabulous. The staff are friendly, and so are the patrons. The beer is cold and the food is hot. I quite like the Wednesday night $8 chicken parmesan special. The chicken is always perfectly cooked. The only thing I get hung up on is the sauce on the pasta. It tastes very generic and almost canned. If there were some herbs and spices in it (garlic, basil, salt, pepper, rosemary) simmered for an hour, the sauce would improve tenfold. On tap selection is small, but food is good. Burger and beer for roughly 14.00 can't be beat in this area. Ownership keeps staffing small, so expect a wait, which won't be hard if you have a drink or two. Service is very friendly, which I always like. read more

Did not enforce smoking guidelines so smokers were on the patio within a few feet of us. They told us we did not have to wear our masks. Overheard a lot of racist comments about the "dumb black lives matter" movement. Saw a teenager wearing a mask that said "Hitler demanded compliance" and the boys father had no mask whatsoever. This review is about the poor service. We always have come here, as it is one of the few places in the area and all of our family lives in town. We like the wings and i ABSOLUTELY give the wings 10/10 because they are delicious. But the bartender we had was rude, inattentive, and wrong. She scolded is for "not wearing a mask" when WE WERE. Open your eyes and pay attention to all of your customers instead of your 3 regulars maybe? We take the masks as serious as everyone else and follow all the same rules. It's one thing to warn someone for breaking a rule, but it's not ok to yell at your customers because YOU are distracted and dont pay attention. Every time we come in with our family it takes so long to get drinks and we never say anything because we try to be patient and polite. I dont know why we even bothered to come here with a bartender like that. read more

I stumbled upon this place one afternoon while I had the day off from work and was driving down 122. I stopped in for lunch and got the wings and a tuna melt. The wings were awesome and the tuna melt hit the spot. It was basic, just tuna and cheese, but it was good and only like $5. The fries were real good too. I had a couple bud lights and the bill was under $20 before tip. I'd come back again if I'm in the area. Seems like a place where most of the people are regulars and know each other. TERRIBLE! And kind of scary! I went in with my husband and we ordered a couple of beers. Service was nothing to write home about, for sure. I went to play some songs on the jukebox and a few local guys down the bar began to loudly criticize and mock the music I played. It wasn't Barry Manilow or anything, it was classic rock. They were clearly talking so we could hear them, obviously expressing that we were not welcome and trying to intimidate us. It's unfortunate because we really need a good local bar. Kapi's lost two potential customers as well as all the friends we told. This is what happens when you allow your place of business to be overrun by local loudmouths. I am certain Kapi's would make a killing if they made it a welcoming place that appealed to the down-to-earth people of Uxbridge rather than a bunch of drunk and idiotic regulars. This place is a quintessential version of a a classic local MA "dive" bar/restaurant. The locals love it cause it's close and cheap. The decor as expected is nothing to write home about. My wife and I went for the first time tonight. No surprise, the bar area was packed with the typical after work crowd. The waitstaff never greeted us and luckily a customer close to the entrance informed us that we sat ourselves. One of those things you just know if you're a regular. Our server was nice, but had little personality to speak of. She also looked to be rushed even though there were only a few tables with customers. Our server, also appeared to be a new hire. The other waitress was training and had her act together. Being in New England we are privileged to have fresh seafood virtually year round. The menu is essentially bar food with mostly fried seafood offerings. I ordered the combo plate with clams, scallops and French Fries, my wife ordered just the clams & ff. We both ordered Sam Adams Octoberfest on draft. Both the drink and food came out in a timely fashion. The clams & scallops were "good" not the best I've ever had. Nice and crunchy but as my wife pointed out the bellies weren't very big. Personal preference thing for us. Our bill wasn't too bad. Dinner with two beers a piece was $42. All and all, I would go back again. Not every week, but keep it in our rotation. Their burgers looked good so that will be for the next time. read more

I am giving this place a solid 3 stars. It's your typical local watering hole. the food is pub grub and the bar section is always busier than the restaurant. They could use an upgrade on their tapped beer, but the wings are AWSOME. Saturday and Thursday nights they are .35 cents/wing. they are crunchy, and the sauce is hot, but not too hot and has a nice smoke to it. my husband enjoys the steak tip sandwich and I love the steak and cheese. 6" roll stuffed with steak and a pile of onion strings for $7.. HELLO. you can even get specials on picthers of beer for $5. I would give this place a 4 star review if they had better beer selction on tap and if they were consistantly good, but all in all, not a bad local cheap spot. read more

Not having lived in the area too long I've asked around about what's good for food places and to my surprise a couple people raved about kapis food. I expected average bar food but this was far superior! Best onion rings, best steak bomb (including the option to add bacon) in a crispy buttery bun. Delicious Caesar salad nice crisp lettuce delicious homemade Caesar dressing. I suggest takeout unless you want to hang out at the bar and you can get good deals on their signature wings if you eat at the bar. Highly recommend trying the food here. I just need to mix it up with what I order but sometimes you try stuff you love so much it's hard to branch out and change it up. Definitely a treat/splurge but all homemade quality food at reasonable Prices! The food is consistent quality but just make sure to be clear on your order because the I think the bartenders usually take it and although super friendly on the phone they are too busy to focus on takeout. I called back twice after ordering on my way home from work and they didn't answer. It worked out fine and I added my cheddar broccoli soup when I got there. Also my super steak I said I wanted pickles and bacon on did not end up having the pickles or the bacon but it was still delicious.....but just know the establishment isn't primarily a food establishment so even if the quality is consistent you may feel like you are being rushed and the order takers are a bit too busy even if not intentionally portraying that. read more

Aside from daily specials like meatloaf Monday and taco Tuesday , there are also various specials throughout the week such as fried pickles , prime rib melts, fish sandwiches, teriyaki chicken and broccoli with rice, to name a few.
