    UPDATE: review upgraded from one star to three and a half…read more To start... when buying an appliance for your home...if you want and expect customer service above and beyond...go see Cameron at Coast Appliance in Victoria BC. I initiated an online chat to let Coast Appliance know about my negative review, (see below). The VERY helpful sales rep, Cameron, recognized the problem and resolved it the best he could...but only mostly to my satisfaction. He wasn't able to fulfillI the advertised FLASH ! SALE claim of 25%+ OFF. The product in question, a Frigidaire microwave, is/was posted at $898.99, which is,or was, the promotional price posted on Frigidair's website, a price that all Frigidaire retailers are/were selling at. However, Cameron, the Coast sales rep...(great fellow) was only able to apply THEIR, that is Coasts Appliances, promotional FLASH ! SALE to the full MSRP of $999, and not the posted/displpayed/advertised price of $898.99. But... I needed a microwave. And the Frigidaire Pro series Convection was my preferred choice. So I caved and bought it from Coast. But ONLY because of Cameron's stellar customer service manners, (Ok, I must be honest, the discounted price had a bearing on my decision as well). But that doesn't mean I agree that it was resolved correctly. (TBF, satisfying both the customer and head office management when marketing errors occur can be a difficult balancing act...shouldn't be but it is...). Thus, so and however, this only bumps up my review from one star to three stars and a half stars. I'm leaving the original post below as a warning to Coast Appliance and any other retailer that we are watching how you resolve situations like this...be very careful in your wording, words matter!..."let your word yes mean yes, your no, no;" Oh, and the microwave...Frigidaire PMOS198CAF...it's fantastic! -ORIGINAL POST- FLASH SALE! 25%+...Nope I searched for the product I required... - Microwave - Over the Range - Convection - In Stock at Victoria (2)...excellent! A nice selection appears - A notification pops up.... Flash ! Sale 25%+ OFF Huh, cool! An option is available in the search for 'Flash Sale', I choose it. - two microwaves too choose from, one of which is the one I am looking for.... (even more cool) So I call, get a very pleasant fellow, tell him what I'm looking for and that it's on the 'FLASH ! SALE 25%+ OFF'. Yep, he has one... (woohoo!)....$898.99 but now $809...a 10% saving Ummm...no, it's on the flash sale...25% or more off the 898.00 Nope, sorry sir, my manager says "up to 25% off" Ummm...no...it says 25%+ off...'+' means the possibility of even more discount not less...grrrr!     We bought a KitchenAid dishwasher 3 years ago. Recently I found out there should be a metal piece…read moreon top of the filter was missing. I never knew there supposed to be a metal piece. I called their customers service explain the situation that they sold me a defective dishwasher from the very beginning. I have spoken with 2 sales person and 1 manager (Justin) All 3 of them were extremely rude told me it is my fault, they can't do anything about it and hang up the phone. I have never experienced such a bad customer service before, not even try to ask me what they can do to help, instead to tell me to go away. They don't check their products before they sell you. Once they got your money they don't help you if something goes wrong. I feel sorry for this company to hire such poor sales representative with no interest in their job. Don't buy from them!

After doing my own research and understanding the repair and ETA for parts I made the decision to repair my appliance, as opposed to purchase a new one. Reason for this is a new appliance would have put me back two times the repair cost. He seemed reluctant from the beginning (I should have taken that as a sign he really wasn't interested in doing the diagnostic or repair, and not trusted him to complete the work - despite previous working relations). I noted a new appliance was going to be twice the price, and explained I would rather complete the repair than shell out additional money for a new one. At the time of diagnostic, he reset something, and "coincidentally" couldn't replicate the issue. He then told me to go buy an appliance that is roughly the cost of the repair; although he failed to realize that unit is a construction spec, one that only developers can purchase. I knew this, because I had tried to purchase one prior to me call ing Jack's in the first place. The minute he left, the issue persisted. Leaving me at square one, with a diagnostic fee, an unanswered text and phone call. I suppose he is only good at dealing with "easy, quick fix repairs".
