That said, all of my experiences dealing with Shillion have been great and affordable when it comes to the actual work. He's worked on washers/dryers in multiple places I've lived and always done a great job, often noticing small inexpensive fixes to things like hoses or belts that were waiting to break in the near future. I was confident he had my best interests at heart. He's recommended to me a few times that I do some work myself (I'm fairly handy) to save a repair call, which he was correct about. IMHO they're simply understaffed and overextended. If you're flexible with your timing, I'd very much recommend it.

Shillion is in his 70's and knows his business, very knowledgeable and energetic. My frig// freezer had quit and he found the culprit very quickly. The whole job took about 1.25 hrs and to my surprise when leaving at 9:30 at night he stated that he'd be heading to the bus. He likes the bus travel and the fact that it costs him little every month. An amazing man, very likeable and straightforward. My freezer/frig is 20 years old and he said if the compressor goes again then it's time for a new frig! I appreciated his honesty and his willingness to work in the evening ,as leaving my food outside in two coolers is a bit onerous to say the least. Also was a very reasonable price!

Communications between customer and delivery is atrocious. I called to confirm delivery and was transferred to Montreal. Can the local store not answer a local question? Apparently not. When I was finally able to speak to a local person, they told me it was for a pickup. That was not the instructions I gave. I then had to call the install company to say please pickup. They were equally surprised that this had happened. All the more so, as I asked that the person setting this delivery up call the install company to confirm that the BRICK WOULD DELIVER AND THEY WOULD NOTIFY THE INSTALLERS OF THE DATE! The install company never received that call. I remember when the BRICK WAREHOUSE was first opened in Emonton by Bill Comery. It appears that with growth, customer service has taken a back seat. Will I ever shop there again. Unlikely.

They also forgot other items I had purchased and after being told I would receive it on the 3rd delivery I still did not get it and have to spend more of my time driving to pick it up. The manager of the store hung up on me on the phone and refused to let me speak to anyone but him. Truly horrible experience, I will never buy anything from the Brick again and I will make sure that anyone I know also doesn't.

It's drain sensors are broken so it stops mid cycle with dirty water pooled inside. Took my a whole day to trouble shoot it. Repair people take FOREVER to book and don't even arrived on the scheduled day. This happened three times when I've moved around my schedule just to let them in and they didn't show.

Organika's head office is in Vancouver. It's produced in Canada, ostensibly from North Canadian fish, so it's unlikely to have arrived in Victoria via the Strait of Hormuz. I probably spent 2 hours browsing the store. There are kitchen gadgets, serving ware, garden items, cold weather clothes, and so much more. I had a hard time leaving this place because I ran out of time to explore all of it. Thankfully, while I was there, I found the shoe sale area and bought three beautiful pairs of shoes! Timberland leather boots, Sorel snow boots, and a casual pair of low boots from Minnetonka. I got a great deal on these shoes and since the Canada/US exchange rate was in my favor, I got an additional (25% off) discount! Next time I'm in town, I will definitely come back to this store!
