I really really want to love this place. But I've been here twice and the food is... How can I put it... Meh? The girls that work here are super nice, always smiling and happy, so welcoming! The place is cute, the menu has a nice variety of Asian cuisine. But the food. The food is just not up to par. Coming from a City that has authentic everything, I can't help but always come to the conclusion that the food is bland. Here is the breakdown of what we've had so far. Hot and sour soup: exactly what is it. Hot. Sour. No other flavor. Missing so many more ingredients. But it's edible. Pad Thai: noodles are always undercooked. The sauce is bland. It's lacking that certain Thai umph. And the chicken was overlooked. BBQ chicken wings: they were crispy, cooked very well. But the overall taste was salty wings. Bulgogi beef: loved it. But by the second bite it was way too salty. Meat was tender and tasty though. Chili shrimp: again, exactly what it is. Chili and shrimp. No other flavor. Tempura shrimp: you can't go wrong with that. Dumplings: meh. Nothing special. I think it's a bit too expensive for what they have to offer. Very busy during peak dining hours and the restaurant is very small with only space for a few diners at a time. However, the food was great and well worth the wait. I had the sweet and sour chicken, and the chicken quality was higher than expected for a strip mall restaurant. My wife had the sesame chicken and it was superb. QQ has basically made all other Asian restaurants irrelevant for me. I haven't been to another since first going to QQ, and I don't see any reason to go to one of them again as the food at QQ is simply so much better than any other Asian restaurant I've ever been to. The food here may as well be a different cuisine as it is so radically different than the normal fare. When the wife doesn't feed me dinner and leaves me to fend for myself, instead of going to one of three or four places like I used to, I now just come here. The place is small, only I think four tables, plus four seats at a counter. Though eating at the counter is nice as you get to watch how they cook all these wonderful things, and I do find it interesting. Instead of settling in on just one or two things to get from a restaurant as I normally do, I've tried something different every time but one (7 or 8 visits total). My current favorites though are the sweet and sour chicken and an appetizer of pan fried dumplings. read more

Trying to get my family somewhere that serves Thai or Korean is a challenge so I was pleasantly surprised that they LOVE QQ. We've been many times, always lucky enough to get a table in that tiny room. (I like the tininess) I get take-out whenever we get lunch orders at work too. Each time I try to get something different (my family sticks to the same couple items) and have yet to be disappointed. Starving, we came across QQ kitchen, a small restaurant in a strip plaza. And we've been back ever since. The winners include: -Ganpoonggi- oh it's so crispy and so good. Usually, you would think it would be soggy, but no no, not at all....I think they use dark meat too, b/c it was so tender! - Stir fry udon chicken curry- weird, right? But it was good! The curry was really good too.... - Jajungmyun- solid. Utterly solid. (thumbs up) - Spicy squid- slightly spicy, but the squid was cooked well and the sauce was delish... Sure sure, they have your typical Americanized Chinese food of dynasty whatevers, or general whoever's chicken, but I would highly recommend getting the Korean Chinese food. Was very good - perfect spicy level, quick and efficient. Sat at the bar but there are tables too. I am not sure what people are talking about the area, seemed pleasant to me. Most non Asian asian food I've ever had. I travel to Toledo for work several times a month. Since I'm not familiar with the area, I peruse the local papers at Barys Bagels to see where to eat. QQ is getting reviews of becoming a growing go-to for good food in Toledo. I was invited her for a meeting and when I pulled up, I thought they were crazy because it looked like they only had 2 tables and it was really just for carry out. Turns out, they own the space to the left as well and that is entirely seating. Crowded on a Monday night definitely says something. They do solid palatable asian-style food consistently with good prices and big portions. A winning combo for the area. I got the drunken noodles and I am unsure what was drunken about them, but thoroughly enjoyed the touch of fresh basil and perfectly cooked noodle. I would definitely get take-out from here often if I lived near by and would choose any noodle dish and pork dumplings or spring rolls. read more

I think that the prices are a little high for what you are getting especially appetizer items like the rangoons, there is not much filling-mostly shell. I went into QQ Kitchen for lunch based on the reviews I saw on here. I was greatly surprised by this place. I can not believe I never knew it existed before. Nice selection of food. I ended up ordering the Miso and the Thai Pai, to go. All people encountered at the restaurant were friendly and welcoming. They were very busy and all staff members were working together to get the customers served quickly. The guys in the back were working hard to get the food out quickly but accurately. Food was hot and ready with a short wait time. I was very happy with the quantity (much more than I was expecting) and the quality (both had a wonderful flavor texture). I will be going back here, taking other and letting people know about this wonderful gem in Toledo! read more

Simply the best food in town. I ordered the beef bulgogi. It was served on a bed of cabbage with white rice. The meat was expertly seasoned and cooked. The sauce was sweet with a fair amount of spice. Beer selection was on par with both Asian and craft beers. Service was excellent. I have been here many times and it is consistently amazing. Amazing Chinese restaurant that has very quickly gained a reputation in the Toledo area for great Chinese-American food. We had a party of three that shared Gan Pan Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Beef Lo Mein, Pan Fried Pork Dumplings, and Egg Rolls. All but the Mongolian Beef were the best I've ever had, (I personally think that the Mongolian Beef is much better at Jing Chuan). Everything else though was superior at QQ. The Egg Rolls with the homemade Chinese Hot Mustard were FANTASTIC as were the Pan Fried Dumplings. The only reason that I didn't give it a 5th star was atmosphere, but that would never stop me from dining anywhere. Put this place on your must try list. read more

QQ is far and away one of the best Asian restaurants in Toledo. They have a fresh, authentic mix of Chinese and Korean dishes, as well as some Americanized dishes. My favorites include the Dragon Phoenix (sub lo mein for rice!), the udon curry, and the orange chicken and general tso's. I haven't really had a bad meal at QQ though, no matter what I've tried. The pot stickers are incredible, the lettuce wraps are great, the bacon Kim chi fried rice is insane (worth trying though I'm not a big fan) and the hot and sour soup is some of the best in town in my opinion. The only thing I consistently do not like at QQ is the spring roll. Tried several times and it's just not good. Soft and chewy instead of crisp and just a not appetizing texture. Otherwise, close your eyes and point to anything on the menu, chances are it'll be great. Bonus, since expanding wait times are much more reasonable for both dine in and carry out and the services always friendly. And they have beer now too! The restaurant is relatively small with a few tables. I had the hot and sour soup and the chicken pad thai. Both were flavorful and delicious. I was actually pretty surprise how good the food was. I was expecting okay quality food, but the food was better than okay. This is definitely a good spot for a casual lunch or dinner if you don't feel like cooking at home. This is the best Chinese restaurant in Toledo. In my experience everyone that comes here finds something that is "their" dish at some point and sticks to it. Mine being the Kung Pao chicken. But there are many other great options, like the Dragon Phoenix, and the Orange and Peking chicken. Make sure to get an appetizer too, the egg rolls and crab rangoon are as good as any you'll try. By far the best Chinese food in the area. I eat there two times a week. The prices are great. I have and will continue to recommend them to anyone that is in the area and like this type of food. This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in Toledo. Not only is the food fresh and flavorful, they have so many different options for vegans and vegetarians. So far, the sesame tofu is my favorite, with the vegan dumplings as an appetizer. The Pad Thai is also absolutely delicious, but so is about anything on the menu. read more
