QQ has basically made all other Asian restaurants irrelevant for me. I haven't been to another since first going to QQ, and I don't see any reason to go to one of them again as the food at QQ is simply so much better than any other Asian restaurant I've ever been to. The food here may as well be a different cuisine as it is so radically different than the normal fare. When the wife doesn't feed me dinner and leaves me to fend for myself, instead of going to one of three or four places like I used to, I now just come here. The place is small, only I think four tables, plus four seats at a counter. Though eating at the counter is nice as you get to watch how they cook all these wonderful things, and I do find it interesting. Instead of settling in on just one or two things to get from a restaurant as I normally do, I've tried something different every time but one (7 or 8 visits total). I just found my go-to Chinese place in town! We went with some friends of ours. We ordered pan fried dumplings and General Tsao Chicken to share. The dumplings were good. The General's chicken was delicious. The spice in the garlic sauce was perfect. What I was really impressed with, though, was the egg rolls. That was the best egg roll I've ever had. Trying to get my family somewhere that serves Thai or Korean is a challenge so I was pleasantly surprised that they LOVE QQ. We've been many times, always lucky enough to get a table in that tiny room. (I like the tininess) I get take-out whenever we get lunch orders at work too. Each time I try to get something different (my family sticks to the same couple items) and have yet to be disappointed. There are a few things I liked but wouldn't go back to because they just didn't fit the flavor profile I was looking for but that doesn't mean its not still delicious! Starving, we came across QQ kitchen, a small restaurant in a strip plaza. And we've been back ever since. The winners include: -Ganpoonggi- oh it's so crispy and so good. Usually, you would think it would be soggy, but no no, not at all....I think they use dark meat too, b/c it was so tender! - Stir fry udon chicken curry- weird, right? But it was good! The curry was really good too.... - Jajungmyun- solid. Utterly solid. (thumbs up) - Spicy squid- slightly spicy, but the squid was cooked well and the sauce was delish... Sure sure, they have your typical Americanized Chinese food of dynasty whatevers, or general whoever's chicken, but I would highly recommend getting the Korean Chinese food. Difficult to find if you are using Google map - it is on the other side of Scrambler Maries. Price point is good, got vegan wonton and a chinese/Korean dish. Was very good - perfect spicy level, quick and efficient. Sat at the bar but there are tables too. I am not sure what people are talking about the area, seemed pleasant to me. Most non Asian asian food I've ever had. I travel to Toledo for work several times a month. Since I'm not familiar with the area, I peruse the local papers at Barys Bagels to see where to eat. QQ is getting reviews of becoming a growing go-to for good food in Toledo. I was invited her for a meeting and when I pulled up, I thought they were crazy because it looked like they only had 2 tables and it was really just for carry out. Turns out, they own the space to the left as well and that is entirely seating. Crowded on a Monday night definitely says something. They do solid palatable asian-style food consistently with good prices and big portions. A winning combo for the area. I got the drunken noodles and I am unsure what was drunken about them, but thoroughly enjoyed the touch of fresh basil and perfectly cooked noodle. I would definitely get take-out from here often if I lived near by and would choose any noodle dish and pork dumplings or spring rolls. read more

I went into QQ Kitchen for lunch based on the reviews I saw on here. I was greatly surprised by this place. I can not believe I never knew it existed before. Nice selection of food. I ended up ordering the Miso and the Thai Pai, to go. All people encountered at the restaurant were friendly and welcoming. They were very busy and all staff members were working together to get the customers served quickly. The guys in the back were working hard to get the food out quickly but accurately. Food was hot and ready with a short wait time. I was very happy with the quantity (much more than I was expecting) and the quality (both had a wonderful flavor texture). QQ is far and away one of the best Asian restaurants in Toledo. They have a fresh, authentic mix of Chinese and Korean dishes, as well as some Americanized dishes. My favorites include the Dragon Phoenix (sub lo mein for rice!), the udon curry, and the orange chicken and general tso's. I haven't really had a bad meal at QQ though, no matter what I've tried. The pot stickers are incredible, the lettuce wraps are great, the bacon Kim chi fried rice is insane (worth trying though I'm not a big fan) and the hot and sour soup is some of the best in town in my opinion. The only thing I consistently do not like at QQ is the spring roll. Tried several times and it's just not good. Soft and chewy instead of crisp and just a not appetizing texture. Otherwise, close your eyes and point to anything on the menu, chances are it'll be great. Bonus, since expanding wait times are much more reasonable for both dine in and carry out and the services always friendly. And they have beer now too! I was on a road trip and we stopped at QQ Kitchen for dinner. This is really an Asian Fusion restaurant cooking up Chinese, Thai, and Korean food. The restaurant is relatively small with a few tables. I had the hot and sour soup and the chicken pad thai. Both were flavorful and delicious. I was actually pretty surprise how good the food was. I was expecting okay quality food, but the food was better than okay. This is definitely a good spot for a casual lunch or dinner if you don't feel like cooking at home. This is the best Chinese restaurant in Toledo. In my experience everyone that comes here finds something that is "their" dish at some point and sticks to it. Mine being the Kung Pao chicken. But there are many other great options, like the Dragon Phoenix, and the Orange and Peking chicken. Make sure to get an appetizer too, the egg rolls and crab rangoon are as good as any you'll try. This is probably one of the better Chinese restaurants in Toledo, and while it's got a couple of stand-out dishes, most of the menu is your pretty average Americanized Chinese fast food. The dishes I have tried and were excellent (in terms of authenticity and flavor) are: -Korean spicy squid (this is SPICY, don't get it if you're a wimp) -Pork Bulgogi -Wonton soup -Green beans Some dishes that were just okay: -Drunken noodles (they weren't bad, but tasted nothing like drunken noodles at a Thai restaurant) -Dragon Phoenix -Kung pao chicken (boring) The short version: if you're into authentic Asian food, go with one of the Korean dishes and you won't be disappointed! read more

By far the best Chinese food in the area. I eat there two times a week. The prices are great. I have and will continue to recommend them to anyone that is in the area and like this type of food. The Kimchi Bacon fried rice was amazing. Just wish there was more bacon. I like how the egg yolk runs into the rice. The richness of the yolk compliments the spiciness of the kimchi very well. This is a great place, their service is really fast and I enjoy the crab rangoons. I think that the prices are a little high for what you are getting especially appetizer items like the rangoons, there is not much filling-mostly shell. Simply the best food in town. I ordered the beef bulgogi. It was served on a bed of cabbage with white rice. The meat was expertly seasoned and cooked. Amazing Chinese restaurant that has very quickly gained a reputation in the Toledo area for great Chinese-American food. We had a party of three that shared Gan Pan Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Beef Lo Mein, Pan Fried Pork Dumplings, and Egg Rolls. All but the Mongolian Beef were the best I've ever had, (I personally think that the Mongolian Beef is much better at Jing Chuan). Everything else though was superior at QQ. The Egg Rolls with the homemade Chinese Hot Mustard were FANTASTIC as were the Pan Fried Dumplings. Great food at good prices. The KimChi bacon fried rice is awesome as well as their lo mein noodles. Other local restaurants serve a thinner ramen style lo mein, but QQ serves the bigger more flavorful wheat noodles! My favorite new Asian restaurant hands down! Update 8/26/12. I've been to QQ a few more times since my initial post... I still think their LoMein is the best yet! And their crab rangoon is much better than the standard buffet quality... And i'm a bit dismayed yelp decided to filter out my review. I think the food there is great, the little dinning area there is frequently packed, and for good reason. For the best flavors try to go when they are not so rushed. At rush hours there can be a line out the door and the cooks are pushed to the limit. So plan your visit if you are a first timer. As far as American-ized Asian food is concerned...QQ is my go-to! We ordered the General Tso chicken, egg drop soup, and spring rolls, and all were incredibly delicious. Actually, the egg drop soup is probably the best I've ever had at a restaurant (it has some veggies in it and is a natural yellow instead of the typical food coloring canary yellow). The service was friendly, but slow at times (hence the 4 star instead of 5). Overall, would highly recommend checking this place out! read more
