I avoid going to this location despite how convenient the location is. Upon checking out the people working at the register rarely acknowledge me and are often talking with the baggers. Today they were talking about football and throwing around the F word in front of my son. When leaving there was a rough looking houseless individual standing outside wrapped in a blanket. A customer told security they didn't feel comfortable walking out that exit and instead of addressing it he just tried to reassure them that it was ok and that they were harmless instead of offering to walk them out or asking someone who is loitering to move along. read more

After the really bad experience I had here a couple weeks ago with buying moldy flowers and how that whole situation was handled, I honestly wasn't sure I even wanted to come back to the floral department. But I decided to give it another chance, as I was once again in a rush to get back to the hospital. So just like last time, I came in and this time I very carefully picked out 2 bouquets. Cathie was working again, but this time our interaction was entirely positive. This experience was completely different from the first one. She was kind, patient, and sincerely helpful. The store was still coming down from the busy holiday rush, so a lot of items didn't have price tags, and she took the time to help me track down prices for things I needed instead of brushing me off and treating me like I'm a bum. What I REALLY loved most was that she took her time to wrap BOTH of my flower bouquets soo beautifully... like really nicely... and made sure they looked good and presentable before handing them to me. SO lovely! The flowers were QFC standard fresh as they 99.9% are (I always known those moldy flowers were a very rare, unusual occurrence) and this entire interaction felt calm, respectful, and friendly. I was so pleased, which was the total opposite of how I felt the last time. Nothing has changed in the last eight years. Fair selection, but ripoff prices--a Kroger store that does not honor the specials at other Kroger stores. For example, a 12-pack of Coke for $9.99--IN THE SUMMMER? WTF? Just go two miles up Aurora to another Kroger store, which is my go-to Kroger store: same week, but the same product? Buy 2 @ 8.99 GET THREE FREE. Same with just about every other special in this store. Hunts tomato sauce $3.29 here, $1.49 there for exactly the same 29-oz can. Ben & Jerry's ice cream pints, $5.99 here, 2 for $6.00 there. The only reason I go here is because of the extended hours, until 1:00 am but I avoid it at all costs. Even the Fred Meyer down a mile on 3rd Ave. NW has better prices except for sugary drinks, so I make it a point to go to the Fred Meyer/Kroger store on 185th, or even the Safeway Store on 155th. read more

This is my favorite grocery store as it is the closest store to my house and always has great selection on almost everything I need!! After shopping here for many years I have gotten to know a lot of the cashiers and they are always friendly and give the best customer service!! My husband and I decided to stop by this QFC market location yesterday, late afternoon. We wanted to pick up some things to have in our vacation rental to make our own breakfast. And since this location was on our way back to our rental, we just decided to shop here. This location has a self check out at the back of the store, along with 2 cashiers in case you do not want to scan and pay for your items on your own. At the front of the store are cashier check out stands, so it is nice that you have 2 places you can pay for your items (in case one side has too long of a line). Prices here seem pretty comparable to the markets that I frequent back home. We were able to navigate through the store with ease and find things that we wanted (including Greek yogurt, water, etc). One aisle that I found interesting was the soda aisle. There were some interesting sodas that we decided to pick up, including a Coke A Cola flavored California Raspberry and Georgia Peach. Curiosity always peaks my interest for unique flavors of food and beverages. Anyways, at the self check out, I forgot to bring in my reusable shopping bag. But the employee saw us and took pity on us and said we could take 1 paper bag to store our items. I was surprised that this paper bag cost $0.10 because it was so thin and didn't even make it's way to our car. It ripped apart (but luckily the way I was holding the bag, it did not spill out the contents in it). Don't waste money buying bags, just place your purchased items in a shopping cart and wheel it back to your car. read more

Story time: I was on my way to the dairy section from the produce section when I blocked off by an employee telling a customer that she had to wear a mask in the store. The customer put her hand in her pocket pretending to feel around for a mask and proceeded to ask the employee a few questions about where to find things. A minute or two later the employee told the customer she needed to wear a mask again. The customer replied that she was looking for it in her (very small) pocket. The customer then took a few steps and hid behind the pharmacy aisle to escape the questioning. The employee just walked off towards the produce section without making sure the customer masked up. I had to walk towards the front of the store and then to the dairy section just to avoid the maskless customer. It doesn't take more than a few seconds to find a mask in a small jacket pocket. I am sure the customer did not have a mask. I am surprised the customer was able to reach the pharmacy area before any other employee stopped her. I am glad the employee stopped her but I was disappointed that the customer was not removed from the store immediately. QFC needs to enforce their mask policy. This is where people shop for food. I dont want somebody breathing on all that food during covid. I usually order groceries online and pick it up but I didn't meet the 35 dollar minimum for free pick up this time around. I would highly recommend using that feature. The only downside is that it takes a few hours until it is ready to pick up. QFC is also slightly more expensive than other comparable grocery stores. read more

This store will racially profile you. Asked me if I spoke English when I didn't realize they were talking to me since I had headphones on, and then accused me of stealing, and said I looked "suspicious" and was asked to come back in after I paid for my items (I even had the self checkout employee check my id and visibly saw me complete the transaction). Sucks since this store is the closest shop for me but I shouldn't have to bring my white partner to feel comfortable grocery shopping. Previous visits I've had homeless white men looking visibly distressed and drunk follow me and others around. One man actually followed me around the entire time I shopped, and followed me out to ask for my groceries and made inappropriate comments about my body? A security guard was standing there and did nothing? Yet I'm sober, clean and accused of stealing just because I'm out here in my Mexican + Indigenous skin. Yikes. If you're in the area I highly recommend the small, locally owned market that's further down the street off of Greenwood ave I have never felt unsafe or unwanted there. I really appreciate how quick this pharmacy refills prescriptions. They're always ready when I go to pick them up. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes in line. I find that QFC offers a good mix of value and quality and since the pandemic I am thankful for this. No, it is not the cheapest but the vegetable selection, while not large, is of good quality and when I use the app to order my groceries for pickup (free during these times) I know I will get some good stuff. I must say though, the online ordering on the Android app is pretty clunky and it has taken me this long just to do the basics. They would do well to get some user feedback. read more

I've shopped here regularly for many years. It's pretty standard, nothing special, nothing great. Not one but two items from my last trip were expired and rotten. One, a container of cottage cheese that was moldy and the best buy date (yeah, I should've checked...) was over a month past. Two, rancid pine nuts from the bulk section. It seems that not a lot of attention is paid to turning over their product and stocking fresh items. My bad experience was exacerbated by Kroger's response to this issue. I used this pharmacy for recent dental procedure care. Ross was the rudist in human disrespectful pharmacist I have done business with. I received prescriptions for codeine pain killers as I dealt with a broken tooth, root canal, and re breaking the tooth leading to a implant. He was judgemental, with a demeanor foul and disreagarding to any one sick and in pain. I was questioned, dr was called to clarify orders (codeine like med). I felt humiliated. My rx to any of these drs never went higher than 10 pills. Super upset. 0 stars! I'm very aware of the opiate crisis we are in. I'm a nurse and I live in our community. NEVER GO HERE!!! I just happened upon this location while on the way back to my hotel. The fact it was late and this location is open 24 hours is a big plus. I also found things to be pretty clean and organized. My experience fell short as soon as I started to interact with the employees. Seems these late night workers would much rather be doing anything else except working here or talking to customers. A simple question of "Where can I find the dairy section" put an attitude on one guys face that I almost walked right back out the door. The cashier was no better and almost made eye contact. Possibly it's just this night crew, possibly it's just a mean night manager, or possibly even the day time employees here have an attitude. Even with a good looking store and competitive prices I won't be dropping by here next time I'm in town no matter what time of day it is. They've had their chance. read more

Even though I don't shop here as often, I do love this QFC. It's nice that they are open 24 hrs and that they have a post office in the back. What I really like is their bakery. After having a bad experience at the Fred Meyer in Greenwood, I walked over here, hoping that they do photo cakes. The lady at the counter was extremely helpful. She brought out a binder, showed me prices of the different cakes and even recommended me flavor combinations. Thanks to her, I place an order on the spot (red velvet photo cake with low fat cream cheese frosting). We'll see how the cake turns out when I pick it up next weekend. read more

QFC - Quality Food Center, in this case, they do have fresher food, but, of course, the price wise is a little higher than the other store. I totally love this super market. First of all it is pretty clean and organized. Whenever I have questions about local produce or wine, the staff here are really helpful and friendly. Yesterday, I was blown away by how nice and gracious the people at QFC were. I had a long day and went to the market to buy steaks and vegetables for a bbq that I was hosting. I was already really stressed out because I had to prepare all the food for party of five at the very last minute. With a lot on my mind and being tired, I FORGOT a pack of Blue Moon Beer in the bottom cart. Seriously, how stupid can I be? I was so mad at myself for being so dumb to forget my groceries in the cart. I was mostly worried that a bunch of kids got a hold of the beer. I returned to the market, literally 4 minutes after leaving and checked to see if the store clerk had found it or if anyone had turned it in. NOPE. I can't say that I was surprised that no one returned "free" beer. I showed my receipt and fortunately, the clerk remembered me. There was never a hint of judgement on his part but of graciousness. He smiled and said, get another one. I remember you. It is fine. He didn't say anything snarky or mean. Just graciously told me to get another beer to replace the one that was gone. Of course, as I was driving away, I saw the couple that was behind me in line with their toddler in a little blue wagon walk home where the husband was holding a case of Blue Moon beer. They didn't have it in their basket before. lol. I saw the shady culprits who found the beer and failed to return it. Oh well. I guess they benefited from my stupid mistake. read more

I ordered food for a bridal shower with the deli department a few weeks ahead of time. I ordered the pretzel bun sandwiches and the chicken tenders with barbecue sauce. Both were total hits at the shower. My one note about the preordered food was the barbecue sauce was on the chicken. I was under the impression that the sauce selected when placing the order would be on the side, but it was all over the chicken instead. I'd recommend putting it on the side, Safeway. Also, the guy that bagged my cart did a terrible job. He put a bag with glass jars in the front of the cart where they were barely inside. I didn't even make it to my car before one fell out and on to the asphalt in the parking lot. read more

I like the set up and location of this QFC. The staff was friendly, but I went to 2 different cashiers who may have been new and didn't seem to have correct information or know how to correct errors. I was being overcharged because of ringing up the wrong type of produce then didn't know how to take it off. Their rewards program was offline which apparently happens due to their poor internet connection. They offered to scan one of their cards but failed to see that only helps if you're purchasing flyer sale items. If you have specific coupons downloaded from the site or have customized coupons mailed to you as a rewards member, the system can't take those off using their generic rewards number. They just kind of looked at me as though I wasn't going to be able to use my own rewards number. There was no sign on the door warning upon entry that they were offline, and after spending an hour filling my cart, I pressed the issue.They found a way to complete it taking my grocery total from $96 to $46. With an hour of my time invested and a $50 savings at stake, QFC needs a better option if they are offline. Also had to have the cashier check the coupons because he failed to scan one that was $5.99 off my bill. The reason I gave 3 stars and not less is because I did appreciate them getting it processed. It just seems with all of the QFC's there is always some kind of error going on with the sale items and/or coupons. Having to constantly "bird dog" the cashier and register to make sure I'm getting the right prices is tedious, and I don't see why customers should have to work so hard to make sure they are getting the savings advertised to them. read more

I think this is a good place for people who live nearby. I think that you want to pop in and grab a cookie cool. You can get a doughnut or get a cake for a birthday party.It's easy to get lost though so it's hard to find your way around. But I highly recommend this grocery store. read more

I love this store! I love how friendly everyone who works here is, every time I see them. Last Thursday 4/16, there was an irate screaming meanie customer in the store. This person was being horrible and yelling at Caleb, who is always so kind and professional. The complaint this customer was screaming about was in no way Caleb's fault. He handled it with quiet, polite professionalism. A couple of customers spoke up for Caleb and the mean customer left. What was so awful was that not one employee or manager kicked this horrible person out of the store. No matter! Two customers were brave enough to do the work for them. It was a dark and stormy night when out of boredom, I've decided to review the many grocery stores I attend. This qfc is not the greatest, but it has nothing to do with staff- they are all sweet wonderful human beings. The building gets no service and i cannot write my reviews on Yelp in the store. How terrible? I cant call my mother and ask her questions about recipes or my roommate to ask if theres toilet paper. It's very depressing and lonely. Not the best selection either but tbh- i don't remember what they dont carry. Also city prices... They also are not 24 hours? But why? This is the closest QFC to my house. Unfortunately it leaves much to be desired. The produce being sold is sometimes past its prime. The checkers are sometimes unfriendly. Don't get me started on the bathrooms...They are always quite gross. The only reason I go here is that its within walking distance. At first I really liked this QFC. It was close, It was clean and the fact that its open whenever I go there. Over the years that I have shopped there I started gradually noticing the fact that the employees are not as friendly or even helpful as it was just a year ago. Last friday while shopping at the "Q" I started noticing a glitch in the self checkout, Immediately this short employee approached me and stated " Oh Minorities have always had a hard time figuring these types of machines out" I was like excuse me?? Then he walked away nonchalantly like nothing was ever said. All in all I just have to thank " PAUL" for an unforgettable event at QFC. I'm a fan of this QFC! I've been coming here for years. This is the only QFC I know of that has a full Starbucks location attached to the store. They have a post office inside the store which is the last mail pick up in the North End. The wine selection is great. I just went to a wine tasting in the store which was fun and informative. The store manager, Matt recently donated a lot of items to Northwest Seattle Relay for Life which I was a part of planning. I am very impressed with the store's generosity in serving the community in this way. Sure, the prices are high at QFC but they have some good specials. I don't do all of my shopping here because of the prices but I am often happy with what I find at this QFC and will continue to frequent the store. read more

No problem, I thought to myself, I'll just copy my previous review and then add it to Yelp! under the correct address and phone number. But then I found that the QFC I meant to review wasn't even listed in the Yelp! system. I wanted to be a productive member of society so I immediately sought out the correct address and phone number. In a tardlike stroke of genius I copied the address from the QFC website. Doh! By doing so I erased my original review which I had copied to paste into my new review!! So I guess you guys are fucked. Postscript: My soon-to-be-wife managed to salvage the original review by repeatedly pushing the 'Back' button. Here it is in all its glory: I really like this grocery store. They have a great selection, the aisles are well-organized, and they have an awesome wine selection!! The lady in charge of the wine is named Patty. She's super nice and will find wine for you in any price range. I can't place my finger on it. This store seems to genuinely care about its customers and about this neighborhood. The grand question in looking at most grocery stores isn't about the brand of the store, it's more about size. And as they say, bigger really is better. You've got the smaller neighborhood stores where you'll struggle through cramped aisles only to find that they don't even carry.....milk. Meanwhile you have the mega-stores which carry bananas from Madagascar and rare spices from the Far East. So, this is one of the big stores. I'd initially wandered in to pick up one or two items, but then succeeded in finding a number of things that saved me stopping at about three other stores. Prices have the usual QFC mark-up. Self check-out and a large parking area are pluses. read more

It's a well known fact that QFC and Fred Meyer are both owned by the same company (Kroger). Then riddle me this: How is it that Fred Meyer can sell the same products for 30 or 40% less and offer better customer service than QFC? Presumably, the common products are purchased by a common source. When you pose that question of price difference between QFC and Fred Meyer, the answer (at least in part) should be that QFC makes up for it in customer service. Yet time and time again, I experience poor customer service experiences at QFC - particularity at the check out stand. This is particularly true at the Holman Road QFC. Deplorable is the word that comes to mind. With very few exceptions, the cashiers and counter people act like they have something better to do and that you're bothering them in going through their line or to their counter. Even the Auto Checkout is poorly managed! There is supposed to be someone watching over those stations to help with auto checkout problems. Most of the time, this person is no where to be seen or else they are standing there doing their best to ignore the problem you're having. Why go here then? Good question! I only go because I live nearby and can walk there. So it serves me for quick trips. When I get in the car for grocery shopping, Fred Meyer in Shoreline or Central Market are better options. I rate the QFC Holman store U for unfriendly! PS: the QFC up the road from this on 15th NW is noticeably better in terms of customer service. read more
