I had the worst experience here at the seafood/ meat department ive ever had before. There was one particular very LOUD guy back in the seafood department that was literallt yelling out customers as they passed by. He was making fun of people abd i almost said something to him but i figured i would just keep it pushing and be the bigger person. I cant believe this person still worjs here. I do happen to enjoy kahn and mike in tje deli and chris is awesome that works the customer service des. Next time i come here i might i have to bring my bat for the seafood department. read more

I read the whiney reviews of some other shoppers here and am astounded at how snotty and self entitled people can be. I for one think this is a fabulous grocery store with great service. So the store isn't laid out in a manner a three year old could navigate half asleep. Open your eyes and READ THE SIGNS. The one that says 'deli?' Well that's where the Deli is. This store has an excellent selection of beer and wine to rival larrys and whole foods, a great selection of artisan cheeses for the casual weekday gourmet, a great meat department with dry cured angus beef in several cuts, a respectable deli/bakery, and there is a whole array of kitchen and hosuehold goods from wooden spoons to hallway mirrors downstairs. Ignore the petty 'me me me' reviewers and know that this is the best grocery store on capitol hill, hands down. read more

I shop here all the time because it is close to my house. Frequently, things I buy don't make it into the bag, requiring a return trip to the store. As the manager told me when I finally asked WTF, if you shop here "You better keep an eye on your stuff..." if you don't want to have to make two trips to the store. If there were another convenient alternative to this hellhole of a grocery store, I would be there in a second. read more

A.C Florist in Aiea, Hawaii. Today Aug. 01,2015, We called A.C. Florist in Aiea, Hi. from Monroe, Washington. It was my mom's birthday tomorrow the 2nd of Aug. My wife Julie spoke to a.very very nice women by the name of Yong. My wife Julie explained that we were out of time to send mom a present from the mainland where we live and I looked up her name online. Yong was a very cheerful women and she is very knowledgeable of her products. I never met her before even thou I am from the same island and grew up there. Anyway, we did not see anything that jumped out at us online so my wife Julie was talking to her and Yong said as all locals say when someone needs help. "No Worry I take care for you". And that is what we did. Put our trust in a women we never met. so we gave her the ok after she gave us the price. About a hour later we started to get pictures from Yong on her progress. She goes on to tell my wife that she had flowers but was not good enough for my mom's special birthday flowers. So what she do? She told us she sent her husband down to the airport and pick up fresh flowers for.my mom. I am a General Contractor here in Washington State. You know what, by what this family did to make my mom's flowers special shows the real meaning of Aloha". This is what I always remember about my growing up there is how the people go out of their way to make a total stranger feel like family. When Yong finished the flower arrangement, she sent like 5-6 pictures from all angles. Like I said Yong showed me what again "Aloha" means. I lived here on the mainland now for thirty years and sent hundreds of flowers home to family for all occasions. But this arrangement Yong did for my mom was the most "BEAUTIFUL ARRANGEMENT" I seen. Yong out did her self On such a short time. She went clearly out f her way above and beyond and her husband to make sure my mom's flowers were not just ok but AWESOME!! Thank you so much Yong from the bottom of my heart. People like you make Hawaii just the way it should always be, BEAUTIFUL. I would have given you more then five stars if I could but, that is all they have. You are worth so much more. Thank you. So people who read this, and this is the truth. highly overpriced, unpleasant place. Just bought their northwest FRIED chicken and it is so salty that I took it right back. The same is with their macaroni and potato salads. The taste is so nasty that it makes you sick. Good thing is that they will take it back if you bring it. Absolutely bad store. Staff, however, mostly nice, but not always available. They also freak out when you want to tale pictures or videos there. It is not allowed. read more

This QFC is the supermarket nearest to my apartment, so I end up popping in every few days. Their produce is decent, albeit not as fresh as Safeway's in my opinion. They're pretty well-stocked on everything else, and the wine selection is particularly impressive--I got a great pinotage last night, and it only cost me $8 after applying the membership (which is free to get) discount! The only downside if you need to drive to get your groceries is that you have to remember to validate parking here, while it's totally free at the Safeway a few blocks away. read more

Diverse selection and ordinary prices (if you use a loyalty card), and I love the labeling of northwest products. The staff have always been friendly and helpful when, and only when, I need them. Checkout arrangement is pretty good, but they don't always staff up enough for peak times (and self-checkouts can only be as efficient as the Lowest Common Shopper, which isn't very quick). read more

This store does not lack in variety there are many options for whatever grocery need you have, which is a great perk. I usually avoid this store mostly because it is always packed with people. This place is kind of like one of those new fangled Safeways. They're trying to recreate the yuppie Whole Foods experience, but they can't. Instead they end up with a confusing pasta aisle, a random sushi bar, and not enough cheese. Weak. read more

Once you figure out how to efficiently and effectively navigate, it is one of the most beautiful grocery shopping experiences to be had on the hill. They don't have everything but they have many many things. Notable (for a grocery store) are the wine/beer and housewares selections. read more

Pharmacy Review, not the overall store. My #1 value in companies is Heart. Although one of the pharmacists has this in spades (James), it's not enough to make up for his manager, Tom, who does not show Heart in how he treats his customers. I was very angry after an experience I had with Tom where he did not show caring for me as his customer. I am not going to deny that I was pissed and not nice, but his job as a manager is to try to diffuse an angry customer and treat me with respect despite my anger. Instead, he was extremely defensive, rude and literally walked away from me, which made me even more angry. If he had shown any heart at all by being kind, saying he's sorry, trying to understand why I was so mad, etc, I would not be writing this review. I called a new pharmacy to ask about transferring prescriptions and even that phone call was so much more positive of an experience. QFC pharmacy NEVER answers the phone and rarely call back. If you don't go early or late, there is usually a long, very slow line. Not only did they lose my pharmacy business, but I will start grocery shopping elsewhere as well. read more

Of the two QFCs in Capitol Hill, I generally try to hit this one. When we first moved to Seattle, our very first apartment was a few blocks away, and I kinda got spoiled. We stocked not just our fridge, but a large number of household items from this QFC. You know that phrase "Everything but the kitchen sink"? It applies here. We got fresh fruit, flowers, candles, cleaning supplies, computer cables, bookcases, pans, bathroom scales, shower curtains, small weights, poster putty, keys, and god knows what else here. And since it's open all night, it's the perfect place to hit up if you get late night munchies and absolutely need the ingredients to make cookies at obscene o'clock in the morning. If I had insomnia and needed something to read--oh, the QFC has reading material, an entire wall of books up by the pharmacy. There are three basic floors: the basement area, with all the household goods like pots, pans, bathroom supplies, electronic accoutrements, bookcases, lamps, frames, paint, etc; the main floor, with the deli, butcher counter, bakery, produce section and the regular run of the mill grocery goods; and the second floor with the pharmacy, the wine, the books, school supplies, board games, vitamins, hygienic supplies, etc. Oh, speaking of the pharmacy, the service there has been excellent. My pharmacist cheerfully filled my prescriptions when I got the Bronchitis of Doom and slunk in, prescription in hand, a bare five minutes before the pharmacy closed. And he was even able to provide me with easy-to-swallow options since I have trouble with the giant horse pills you sometimes get. Basically this QFC is awesome. And I still do a lot of grocery shopping here, even though I moved downtown. They have parking in a lot under the building. (The entrance is on the south side of the block, just off Broadway.) And of course, you get stamps for the parking at the registers. I've never had to pay for the parking here. (Incidentally, the liquor store across the street ALSO provides stamps for the QFC parking or so the lady at the counter said.) The lines can be a little long during holidays, and the place is usually bustling during the day, but it's my favourite grocery store in the city. read more

Decent food, decent prices, and an occasional bargain as well. Where QFC really shines is its cheese and beer selections. I especially like the baskets of "under $5" cheeses. It's a great way to try something new and interesting. read more

this location is great! they have almost everything you could need (food, housewares, drugs, scrapbooking supplies) and are open 24 hours. the multi-level design isn't a problem for me (and probably many other customers who live nearby and just walk there) since i never buy more than a basket's worth anyway. people who have cars can drive to whole foods or trader joe's. marc is the best checker---he's fast, friendly, and smart. way to go, marc! read more

The prices here are steep, but hey, it's the city. Their selections are pretty good although the crazy floorplan can make your shopping experience take a little longer than you expect. They even have housewares like a Fred Meyer. The pharmacy is great - nice people and quick service. Biggest problem is their produce selection - none of it ever looks amazing. read more

This is going to make me sound like a corporate goon, I guess, but I take my young daughter to this store four or five times a week and we both love it. It's my favorite supermarket in Seattle--a nice balance of gourmet items and normal stuff in a gorgeous setting. They've also been incredibly responsive when I've had a problem or made a special request. Nice beer selection, too. Several of the checkers have gotten to know my daughter, who has been shopping here since the day they opened (when she was about ten months old). I feel bad that other people have had such negative experiences here. I honestly enjoy shopping here every time--and I have no connection to the store other than as a satisfied customer. read more

Marie is the best person alive. She completely saved me today and I am eternally thankful to her. When I walked out my bag immediately broke, shattering two jars of pasta sauce. To be honest I was really shaken, I had no idea what to do in that situation. I walked back in. She helped me sort groceries, put them in new bags and went and got replacements for the damaged items. Really? I should've complained to a manager, but when you're completely out of it with a cold the last thing you want to do is extend your time away from a bed you can curl up in to recover from a nasty cold. read more

I'm surprised that there are so many positive reviews. Perhaps I am the only one left who still remembers how much better QFC was before Kroger ingested it. For many years QFC was the Seattle grocery leader in terms of customer service. There were always well staffed and stocked stores. Today not so much. The shelves are full of Kroger items (why don't they just change the name to Kroger!) and although the store seems full of employees running around stocking items there are precious few assigned to actually ringing up a sale. Alas, Kroger has subscribed to the "check it yourself because we don't want to" concept. Is it just my imagination or does this not slow everything down? My take is that Safeway has just become a whole lot better. Cheaper prices and not any slower than they used to be. It's a shame that there is no longer any competition for groceries on the north end of Broadway. If and when I can manage, I will shop at Metropolitan Market or Whole Foods. Good customer service is truly worth paying more for! read more

This qfc is totally awesome!! Granted, qfc has a monopoly on the hill, but I would probably come here even with other nearby options. What's not to love? Friendly (but hella REAL and not over the top) employees, a mind-boggling selection, and the utmost convenience. To those who complain about prices.... YOU LIVE IN SEATTLE. It's really NOT that bad, you could be shopping at City Market and spending three times as much, so quit complaining! The guys in the meat department have a lot of fun with their job and will cheerfully perform any special request for you free of charge (deboning, slicing, cubing, knife sharpening, etc). The cashiers are always full of friendly banter and even though the lines are long, people are generally not buying much (and the cashiers, at least the ones at night, are super fast) so they move along very quickly despite the intitial emotional shock of "OMG LONG LINES!" Highly recommended. I mean, on the Hill you have no choice but QFC, so why not go for the clearly superior of the two? read more

DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY. First, they filled the name brand prescription instead of the generic listed, and when I asked why, they told me it had to do with a change in my insurance. I paid 12x what I should have. Then, when I came back to get my script so I could change pharmacies, they lost it. I'm in the process of writing for it now. I'm visiting my son and went to this market for the first time today and found everything on our list with the help of very friendly employees. Their produce selection was fresh and extensive as was their ice cream selection. When I checked out they gave me the customer loyalty sale prices even though I didn't have the card.
