The best QFC in Seattle IMO. This is the 2nd QFC on Broadway, the one father down and much larger. This location offers a completely different experience compared to the other locations in town. The store is much larger, better organized and overall just feels more functional. The staff have consistently been more polite, responsive, and helpful, which makes a noticeable difference in the overall experience. One thing that really stands out is the second level, especially the alcohol selection upstairs. It's impressively stocked and much easier to browse than the LOCKER at other QFCS. The layout of the store overall just feels more open and better managed. If i'm going to shop at QFC, this is definitely the location I prefer. The staff are friendlier, the store feels more organized, and the entire experience is noticeably better than some of the smaller branches. read more

No staff anywhere to ask questions, a horrible layout, basic items not available, and after I checked out with the single item on my list that I could find, a weird little security gnome wearing a flack vest, full play cop regalia, and dark sunglasses (at night, indoors) gestured for me to show the receipt I received only five feet from where he was standing. All the while, he carried on a full phone conversation in Spanish, never speaking to any shopper for an instant. I've said this before but I am 100 percent finished with QFC. What a hole. read more

I went in tonight to look for Christmas gift bags and candy to put my wrapped gifts in to a get bags to make the gifts cute. I picked up a bag of snickerdoodle Hershey's kisses and an employee walked up, checked me out and then stood there watching us like we were going to steal.. it was so awkward! I did not like the feeling and got really uncomfortable talking to my husband about any indecisiveness because it only made the employee more suspicious. We decided to leave. My first time in a QFC! I thought it was ok. This one didn't seem as clean or well kept as some of the other grocery stores in the area but they have all the essentials. Kind of reminds me of a Vons or Albertsons. Their produce is priced ok, some things can be kind of pricey. I took a look at their meat/seafood and it didn't seem all that fresh looking. I did like their selection of cereals and baking goods. I probably won't frequent this spot too often unless I have some items that I can only get from the standard grocery store. read more

wish i could give zero stars. security harasses me, yells at me and even follows me out of the store all while not accusing me of stealing. they won't like that i don't kiss their feet or treat them like upstanding war vets. the other day, they thought i gave them attitude when i said they can keep my receipt because im going to throw it away anyway and two security guards followed me out of the store, yelling at me and calling me names to the point that other people had to tell them to stop, to which security said "mind your business." tonight, the guard didn't ask to go thru my purse but instead let himself inside after watching me my groceries inside an empty tote bag, and of course yelled at me for complaining. mind you, i wasn't being accused of stealing, he just didn't like "how fast i was walking"???? each time i go to this store, my experience is worse and management will never be willing to do something so i'll be escalating my complaints to the city and the company who hires these guards because they feel they need to follow paying customers out of the store and to put their hands on customers who aren't even being accused of stealing. absolutely horrendous, hostile and aggressive vibes all around. read more

This used to be a good store. Lately it has a decadent ambiance of unlawfulness, and I don't feel safe going there any more. I went yesterday and they let a person walk in with a scary full face mask, who was walking behind me in a threatening way and I felt unsafe, they touched me too, I think on purpose. Then a person walked out of the back security exit with their backpack, and the alarm sounded. An employee came over to tell us "don't worry, this happens every day". This makes me worry even more about going there, it means they let customers off without providing proper security for the rest of us. There are people openly selling drugs outside the doors of this store. I am not exaggerating. Avoid this store, for your safety. Definitely do not go there with children. I understand that there is a generic unhandled neighborhood and city problem lately in Seattle with drugs and safety, but this QFC also needs to step up their security and care for their customers. Definitely a well-stocked supermarket with affordable options all-around. They have many good options with good deals here and there. Examples include $1 Chobani yogurts and great discounts on organic chicken with the QFC card (which is very easy to sign up for). Produce is also relatively cheaper and they have their own in-store "farm" for making fresh herbs!! Seafood is also of good quality as well with a reasonable price. I sometimes find the produce fresher than the ones at M2M down the street (super ironic given that M2M is an Asian market). I definitely appreciate the pharmacy and home goods upstairs and downstairs, which are quite dependable if I'm too lazy to walk to the typical brand-name pharmacies (sometimes may not have everything but has the basics) However, I'm turning this into an average review simply because I feel unsafe coming to this QFC. Yes, there is additional security but they also recently installed a plexiglass "maze" to safeguard against shoplifting. Seeing those plastic walls all around doesn't give you peace of mind. In contrast, it evokes the opposite feeling of paranoia. Clearly, the customer demographics for this QFC can't be trusted at all because there were too many security problems in the past. Is it even safe here? What else am I missing? It's just a supermarket to buy basic food and other necessities...not a government building. There are also many more homeless right outside and, in one instance, a half-naked man wailing around around the sidewalk in broad daylight. This is not QFC's problem, but it does affect my grocery experience. Yes, I can mind my own business, but I prefer to not have to put my guard up every time I want to get some damn groceries. For me, it's M2M or Safeway up the hill until the vicinity feels safe again. read more

I've shopped the QFC at Pike & Broadway for 9 years, but no more. I've been trespassed. They started a new receipt check policy. Normally I would have no issue with that if it helps cut down on theft. However, the security guard didn't ask nicely. After I finished doing self check out and went to leave he moved directly in front of me and demanded, "Show me your receipt". Had he asked nicely, I would have. While he can legally ask for my receipt, I am not required to show it. QFC is not Costco where you sign a membership agreement and agree to do so. Since he was so rude, I said "no thanks", and attempted to walk around him. He deliberately & repeatedly stepped in front of me as I attempted to change direction. He said I couldn't leave & pointed out their policy sign. I told him that he saw me check-out, that I paid for everything and did have a receipt in my bag, he wasn't accusing me of stealing, and he had no legal right to stop me. I mentioned to him that store policy does not over-ride citizen rights, and if he refused to let me leave, I would call the cops because he was illegally detaining me. After arguing for almost a minute, I was finally able to walk around him. He said I was trespassed, so I won't be going back. I wrote to QFC corporate and that store's manager, but never heard back. On a different issue - Kroger caught the attention of Consumer Reports magazine for widespread pricing errors. They did a brief write-up about that in their September October 2025 issue, page 5. I guess it will be Safeway and Amazon Fresh delivered for me from now on. In ending, keep in mind, QFC is not public property. They can prohibit you from entering, or even request police to arrest you if you keep doing so. So, just keep that in mind. As for people hanging out in front of QFC's, it depends... if it's public property may not be much QFC or Kroger can do about that. Update 8/21/2025. Just walked past there at 4pm on my way home from other shopping on Broadway. There was 13 people hanging out, about 1/2 on the stairs, the other 1/2 right in front of the doors, all shady IMHO. I consistently run into trouble here with staff. The assistant store manager Ken spat on my shoe while I was walking inside and he was outside vaping - I don't know if he ever even noticed. The coupons don't work half the time and nobody cares to check so you have to do self checkout to make sure the coupons go through. What a mess. read more

Let's start with your floor manager Sarah, I have NEVER had anyone accuse me of stealing when I use my own bag to shop at QFC. Since the pandemic I've been using my own shopping bag to 1.) Minimize the spread of germs and 2.) So I do not over shop the capacity of my reusable bag. I came in today (4:45pm 05/16/2023) as a customer shopping here for years to be going down the egg aisle and have Sarah radio to the security guard up by the cashiers that I was stealing. I get that there's a lot of theft that goes on in grocery stores but accusing every person that utilizes their own bag is extremely repugnant. Sarah could have easily said we don't allow you to use your own bag to hold your groceries and offer me a basket but no she had to radio security and make me off to be a shoplifter. I use to come here because it's within walking distance of my house and because the deals were decent at the time. Now the prices are ridiculous even for the cheapest stuff. The cheapest pizza ends up being like $10. the cheapest ground beef is also about $10 Per pound. Takes a pound to feed one adult one meal. On top of the insane prices, there are homeless people immediately out front harassing people. All times of the day, every day, they are harassing people. They have two security guards inside every day, but do they ever drive off the homeless? No. Had a homeless dude try to steal my groceries from right of my hands right at The front door. This was the last straw. I now have to drive 15 miles to the nearest Walmart for groceries. read more

Broadway and Republican. This QFC continues to display its years-long pattern of contempt for its customers. After jettisoning so many items of practical use by turning the upstairs into a gigantic wine store and the lower level into a wanna-be bed bath and beyond, whatever dolt manages this store decided to lock up most of the non-food items on the upper level- shampoo, eye drops, aspirin, you name it. After price gouging on everything for the past four years, OH NOOO, someone might cut into their bloated profit-margin by swiping a pack of Q-tips! Why not just lock up everything? Lock up the dairy case, lock up the deli meats. A few years ago they tried locking up the ice cream, forcing people to stand around and wait for someone to come unlock the case- they had to give that up pretty fast. Entered the store at 8 pm Friday night May 31. I am from the area and have been shopping here since it opened. A security guard arbitrarily started following me around. Then told me I had to leave. I ignored him so 2 started to follow me and told me I had to leave because I tried to exit through the emergency doors, I do not even know where they are located. I asked them when this happened and if they have any proof. They stopped the harassment. I called to register a complaint and the Store Manager "Alex' hung up on me twice before I could even say anything. I called back and spoke with Reid the person who approached the security guards and used them to target me for the harassment after the store manager Alex. I was able to piece the story together based upon Reid ( the conspirator) telling me about how the security apologized, which they did not and to not talk to his fellow employees badly and he heard the entire conversation I had on the phone with her. We were not on speaker phone and both conversations lasted about 5-10 seconds because she just hung up before I could say much of anything. This did not happen at the check out stand and there were not employees around, he did not witness the interaction so for him to be aware of it makes it clear who the instigator was. Both of these employees should be fired as they do not even possess basic customer service skills and lack the ability to deal with the public. Harassing customers is a no-no. Especially for no reason. People go in to the store to buy goods, not be harassed minding their own business going about their day. Pretty simple. Employees are in place to help customers find and check out items, not selectively use the security staff to try to harass or discriminate. This is a very poor business acumen and a reflection on a very poorly ran Corporation. No one needs some disgruntled employee targeting paying customers for harassment by security guards, in my case I literally spend hundreds of dollars here each month and the amount total each year is in the thousands, over decades that adds up to a large lump sum. I have spoken to other individuals who have experienced the same thing, being accused of numerous different things when all the while they are simply trying to spend their money within the establishment to buy the good they desire while minding their own business going about their day. Unfortunately this is the only grocery store in the area unless you want to drive or take a bus. Most of the employees are polite but some obviously hate their jobs or simply think they have a right to entertain themselves by targeting customers. These individuals should not be in the public sector. read more

I live two-ish blocks away on Belmont Ave E, and I just wanted to say if you are looking for good people who will always treat you right, in person or on the phone, this is the pharmacy for you. Been coming here for about a year and a half, and even just now, on the phone, the customer service is 10/10. Super rare these days to have such a great vibe both in person AND on the phone. Anyway, these people care, they work fast, have what I need 99 percent of the time on hand, and if they don't have it, they order it and usually have it within a day. This is by far the *worst* grocery store I've ever shopped at. Some of the staff are great, but the rest are overwhelmingly rude or unprofessional. On two separate occasions I was nearly RUN OVER by a tall, older employee pushing a large metal cart through the produce aisle. I was looking the other way and he just barreled through, with no indication he planned to slow down or stop. Fortunately my reflexes enabled me to jump out of the way in time. On a separate instance, I witnessed him almost running into another couple of shoppers, who in turn yelled at him to watch out. This man should be reported to management. Another time I called to ask if they carried a certain housewares item, and the staff member actually said they were too busy to look and promptly hung up on me! Great customer service. That was just before Covid started, so no excuse. As for the "quality" of foods, the produce department is awful- really bad selection, quality, and high prices. Very limited organic choices. Layout of the store is SO bad- the artisan breads are located under a large skylight, where condensation develops inside the bags of bread from the heat of being in the sun. Hello mold growth! Also you are almost forced to walk past the meat department, which smells SO bad. I usually hold my breath. I won't go into the rest of the layout, it's just so hodgepodge and impossible to find anything in a hurry. In terms of Covid safety, this store is the absolute *WORST* I have encountered. People coming in with dogs off leash, no mask enforcement, staff wearing masks under their nose in produce department, poor social distancing by staff, no hand sanitizer for the public, and no one wipes down machines before each use. On one occasion, I was shopping in the produce department and saw a woman with her approx. 7yo daughter both wearing masks under chins, and after I witnessed the little girl grabbing vegetables from the open bins with her bare hands, stuffing them in her face, I alerted the mother and she started shouting at me, only concerned that her daughter was eating outside of mealtime! It was unbelievable. There was a produce manager working nearby and I asked if he could tell them to wear their masks properly, and he said he could not enforce that. They're very friendly here and you can find a lot more of a selection here than most other QFCs since it used to be a Fred Meyers. The workers always say hi and they do their best to help you. Used to be great. Been coming back here since I moved back to drop off money for my job at the bank above. The garage looks different now, like nobody takes care of it, and it certainly doesn't look like a pay garage, and its missing gates and the booth for the attendant is all but adbandoned. Haven't had a ticket the whole time though I spend just a few minutes usually. This time did the same, bam 90 plus dollar ticket for being there a few minutes. IMPARK refuses to talk about it, QFC says they can't do anything, the banks are unable to help, I have the proof of doing a big transaction at the moment before getting a ticket. This used to be a nice place with nice parking, now its a dangerous place with subpar parking that is a ripoff. ITs supposed to prevent people who arent doing legitimate business, I'm doing business to business and nobody will even look at the receipts. I will never go there again, even to drop off money for work, I'm done. read more

I typically don't review supermarkets, but after one of the worst retail experiences of my life, I figured I ought to warn anyone and everyone about this QFC; if only to save another human being from being absolutely degraded the way I was when I did nothing more but pay for my groceries at this place. In short, I began checking out about 10 minutes before closing. Almost immediately, a security a guard approached me and rudely told me to hurry up. Appalled at the rudeness, I ignored him and continued to check out. Unfortunately I had a lot of items (about $200 in groceries), yet self check out was the ONLY option. Upon "official" closing time 10 minutes later, the same guard approached me and told me I needed to "hurry up and get out." Not yet done, I offered to simply leave the groceries and go if I was such a problem. "Just hurry up," he said. Great customer service, I replied as I continued checking out. Next, as I was paying, the guard picked up a pack of juice that I had put back in my cart and suggested that I didn't pay for it. Incredulously, I asked him if he was really accusing me of stealing or something. Better call the cops then, I suggested. "Get the **** out," he responded refusing to give me back the juice. At this point I noticed that I was surrounded by no less than 3 men: the original guard, a second guard, and an employee. I handed the original one my receipt, which he read carefully before angrily giving me back the juice and again insisting that I get the **** out. Still bagging my groceries, albeit as fast as possible, I asked him for his name. "It's not your business, just get out," he said. "I can't believe this," I said, turning to the employee (who appeared to be some kind of manager). "Why are you allowing this to go on," I asked him. "Because you're a problem," he responded. I couldn't believe it. I then asked to see a a manager and he informed that he, in fact, was the manager (I doubt it). Oddly enough, however, he refused to give me his name. Finally finished bagging, I began to walk towards he door only to be literally stalked and followed closely by all 3 men in a clear attempt to physically intimidate me. At that point I began recording the event with my cellphone. I managed to capture the original guard yelling at me and flicking me off as I walked out. In conclusion, let me put it this way: that was the absolute worst shopping experience of my life. I was yelled at, cussed at, and physically intimidated for no reason other than the fact that I didn't get done checking out and bagging my own groceries fast enough to satisfy the staff at this QFC. I am appalled at the treatment. Disgusted. I didn't imagine that something like this could ever happen to me; and it makes me never want to go grocery shopping again. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this nightmare of a store. read more

Parking at this location is a disaster. The meter was apparently out of order since it's covered so I couldn't enter my space # to get a receipt. I got an $88 ticket. I think this market is great. Granted, it's the first and only QFC I've ever shopped at. I live Downtown, but when I need groceries I hop on the Seattle Streetcar and come here. They seem to stock just about everything. The employees have also saved me money by mentioning sales, etc. The store is always kept clean and tidy. This QFC is just 4 blocks from my home, but I swore off going there in 2021 after they added security guards, locked up merchandise and implemented additional security. It felt scary and unsafe. Today I just needed a cordial that QFC is not likely to have. But since QFC is on the way to BevMo, I stopped in at this QFC for the first time in two years (plus I was curious if things had gotten better). Wow. The place abounds with security guards, none of whom feel it is their job to answer questions or even stay out of the way. I was asked for my ID to shop for the cordial. I asked the guard if they had the cordial and he did not know. After he did his job and made sure my 60 year old self was old enough to read (why else card me before I'd decided to buy something?), I decided to go somewhere else. I came after 8 and apparently no one is capable of literally grabbing a cake behind the bakery glass and simply putting it in a box so that I can purchase it for the generous price of 29.99. Literally 99% profit and they told me that bakery is closed and manager is not able to transport cake into box from case for customer. The employee was unfriendly and rude, it's far and few in between I receive such terrible customer service. Hey- how about you don't hold the cakes for hostage behind the glass and you might sell a few. This is the absolute WORST QFC I have EVER been too. Tonight, I went to get my laundry soaps, dryer sheets and other cleaning stuff. I always go to the self check out when I can. Well this time the manager was lingering around me and kept looking over my shoulder while I scanned my items. I thought it was very strange but I ignored him and went on to pay with cash and got my receipt. I had my own reusable bags so I put my stuff away and went towards the elevator to get to my car that was parked in the underground garage. Right as I pressed the button for the elevator, I was physically grabbed by the security there. Two men went on to accuse me of stealing my sponges and my dryer sheets!! I grabbed my receipt and showed them what I had in my bags and the one security guy snatched it out of my hand, crinkled it in his hand and put it in his pant pocket!!! They both went on accusing me of stealing and even grabbed MY bags from me, took MY sponges and MY dryer sheets and kept yelling at me saying that I ALWAYS come in there and steak from them!! I went to grab my dryer sheets back and he yanked them so hard from me the whole box ripped open and they went flying everywhere all over the floor. Not one person, not even the manager even stood up for me even though the manager had watched my every move. So then I came home and told my husband and he went to go talk to them and those wacked out rent-a-cops had the nerve to deny taking my receipt from me! And they refused to look at the cameras even though my husband and I both suggested they do so. So, with that said, the people who work at this QFC and the security are a bunch of bully's and a bunch of jokes who don't know how to be respectful or be fair in their line of work. This store disgusts me. And on top of being wrongfully accused of stealing, I was in tears because I was so terribly embarrassed in front of tons of other shoppers. QFC YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF FOR HOW YOUR EMPLOYEES TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS!!! I USED TO SHOP HERE EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, SOMETIMES TWICE A DAY, BUT I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK!! Easy peasy lemon squeasy! I come here more than I should. Not for a full blown shopping but mainly for my few essential items that I can't live without for the week. Usually they are eggs, milk, chocolates, flowers etc. It's not bad! It's a much smaller QFC compared to the rest and you come here to pick up exactly what you need. A few items. Not to wander around and aisle walk. There are other bigger QFCs for that. I like their seafood selection and also their eggs/dairy section here. Meat is a ok. I get it elsewhere. As well as produce. Smaller side. Flowers are always great here. I love that they have so much! Also the bakery side. The best part? Its upstairs!! All them WINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Wine wine and more wine! A lot of good brands and selections. They have champagne too. Upstairs is where they have pretty stuffs like wine/alcohol/ candy/magazines and some beauty products like nail care. Overall, it's my go to for a fast shopping. Redbox is there too so if you want to grab a movie or two, you can. Parking is free with validation in the garage or you can parking on the street. It's free after 8 pm. I don't like the parking garage as much cause it hurts my car but usually street parking is plenty. Minus the high/drunk/intoxicated hobos causing trouble outside, this is a good spot to go. I like it. Clean. neat, cozy and fast! Oh yea, gold gym is upstairs so avoid the popular gym hours for parking! They use the same parking garage! read more
