Information in the elevator not limited to QFC
Marcus S.

This QFC is nice for a few reasons. It is part of a large plaza of other stores and because of this they allow validated parking. This is a nice offering, that lasts up to 4 hours. If you do some shopping then feel like grabbing some Starbucks, some things for your pet or do some banking and boutique shopping to name a few, you can do so all in one trip. Just don't forget to validate your ticket or you get charged $3. That said, there is a nice parking garage that has plenty of spaces and allows for grocery pick up. At this QFC there are multiple entrances. There are two entrances from main level one of which has Free 10-minute pick up parking, there are elevators and stairs entrances and another with an escalator that brings you to the front of the store. There are many QFC's and thus far, this is the first one I've seen that has this many entrances and therefore exits. What I also like about this particular QFC is that they hire a lot of special needs workers. There are several throughout the store, doing well with their duties and always pleasant when spoken to or asked for help with something in the store if they can. This goes for most of the staff. Not sure if all the QFCs have this as I've only been to a couple so far, but there is a manager's special rack where I've scored some real discounted goods in or around aisle 10. So, for being a large sized QFC complete with Starbucks, multiple entrances, validated parking and hiring folks with special needs. This QFC is A-ok.

The food from the deli was good. They have many fresh produce selections. The service was wonderful and friendly. The ambiance is a grocery store.

Am I in South Lake Union? Because I feel like I am when I step into this QFC in the Kirkland Urban. Anyone else remember when in this very spot of Kirkland Urban there used to be a freakin' TGIF's and people actually went there to get drinks and hang? Now all of a sudden, guys with too much gel in their hair are frolicking around Kirkland. K, enough of that. But seriously, this is one of the nicest QFCs I've been to. Yes, QFC is my main grocer in Bellevue, but am thinking the downtown Bellevue location has a long ways to go with this branch around. The store is very open, spacious with an outdoor patio, adjacent to a bar! You can drink at QFC now, apparently. Order some Tutta Bella pizza, which QFC partners with, as one section of the hot food bar area is dedicated to making wood-oven pizzas. LEGIT! The selection is the best here. Way more specialty items than what I've seen at other QFCs, an air-conditioned pod that you can put your dog in (wtf) and designated underground parking that's free when you shop here. If I ever need groceries while in Kirkland, I know exactly where to go.

Five stars for Jamison st the QfC bar who's great selection of beers on tap, wines and even some sparklings and a frozeh- all served with a great smile. We sat outside enjoying our drinks along with a pizza from Tutta bellla. The pizza was OK. You could share it if you were not that hungry or each get one. The gal that took our order was lovely in her cat mask. She aims to please. It did concern me that one of the gentleman making the pizza did not wear his mask properly but he did so when I pointed If you're preparing the food you really need to wear the mask properly - that means over your nose. I will go back and see if It happens again I'm hesitant writing this top star review because it is already so popular - :) already hard to get a table outside., (but u can inside) , prices are phenomenal at the bar and Jamison is awesome. IE i'd like to keep this treasure all to myself, it's already so busy and popular. However for and if you're reading this yelp review I owe it to you to share this gem. And make sure you knew how fabulous this part of this QFC is!

Newly opened a couple of weeks ago, just a few blocks from the Kirkland waterfront. As expected, everything is new with some new wrinkles, such as the made to order pizzas and an indoor outdoor bar. I saw a wine tasting area as well. Cool space. Considering the cost of retail space in the area, they packed a lot of stuff into the space. I liked having the produce area up front. And the trippiest thing was the pick your own mushrooms. For now the underground parking is free, as they are finishing up the area.

While shopping for groceries and enjoying a coffee with my friend Jane at the store, I politely asked for a cup of water. To my surprise, I was told -rather curtly- that water is only available for purchase. This was unexpected, especially since during a previous visit, I had been offered water with my coffee without any issue. When I expressed my confusion, the staff member (a woman of Far East origin) continued to be dismissive and rude. I found the interaction unnecessarily abrasive and not at all in keeping with the welcoming environment I had experienced before. Another Google review also describes a similarly combative attitude, perhaps from the same individual. If she remains on staff, it could seriously impact the business's reputation. I'll be steering clear of this location." It's unfortunate that a thoughtful concept--one that Stephanie clearly put care and intention into--is being undermined by poor customer service. Experiences like this can have a lasting impact on customer loyalty. It felt as though the staff member would have rather been anywhere else--and unfortunately, that lack of enthusiasm came through in the way she treated paying customers. I support sharing this feedback, especially since Stephanie--the owner--isn't likely to witness these interactions firsthand. Multiple honest reviews about the staff may help paint a more accurate picture of the experience customers are having. On a more positive note, my friend's sons really enjoyed everything she picked up from the store. She sliced up some cold roast beef and sautéed it with green beans and Stephanie's stir-fry sauce - it turned out great. Stephanie's concept of providing curated meal shortcuts really worked for them!pre

They should be changing the trays in the hot bar every few hours to maintain the fresh look and they should get rid of the old burned food. They also serve the same soup everyday. It's never fresh after 2 pm. They also used to have some nice potato soup and they stopped serving it. It's the sane few soups everyday. I just don't think the people that work in that department are happy to be there. I got screamed at one day when I asked when a fresh chicken will be out and he told that there are still chicken out there with anger when there was only two pieces of dry chicken setting there. Terrible way to talk to customers. I am hoping they can do something about the hot food bar and soup selections soon.

Have been stopping by this location more recently on the way home from work to pick up a few things. While I have only walked to the store, they do have free parking in the building garage. The store is on the smaller side compared to other Eastside PCC locations. Store interior feels a bit sterile and usually quiet when I shop here. Not a bad thing if you like shopping in a less crowded store. And I will say the store interior is an improvement from the old store which looked dated. It is not my favorite PCC to shop at, but I will continue to frequent it when I am nearby and looking to pick up some groceries.

SAFEWAY @ KIRKLAND…read more This used to be one of my favorite Safeway locations in Washington! It's spacious, has great produce, and items. It has however changed over the time, the staff don't seem friendly, I've walked in a couple times and just been fully glared at by staff in the front. Bathrooms are dirty and it's pretty sticky floors. There is also workers smoking on the side of Safeway outside right by the Handicap, no issue with smoking, but they are ALWAYS lingering around where customers are walking to the car. There is also homeless people always out front where you enter 124th street. Other than that, the selection is great, there is a Starbucks in the store as well, and the produce is fresh. Amongst the sweets, the Polish Wawel Mieszanka Krakowska chocolate covered jelly candy is a welcome treat. I enjoy wafer treats, so the Roshen wafers from Ukranine is my choice. I haven't had much luck with their produce; I skip them. (FYI: The business uses the Yelp photos to post the latest produce that has arrived, which is perfectly legitimate. But because they don't delete the previous photos, the Yelp photos suggest they may have a bigger produce section than they actually have at a given time. I was confused the first time I stepped in.) The shop is located in a strip mall with plentiful parking. The space is older, which I honestly don't care as long as it is clean. I don't require much service since I only need to pay and go. For me, this store doesn't serve the deli or the produce function in its name. But I do enjoy exploring their different items and choosing something new-to-me to try. That is good enough.

Managers need to MANAGE. You're not there just for overrides. Do you walk the grounds? What about…read morethe inside? What about managing the employees or vendors that enter your store? Today, 06/26, I went down the drinks aisle and there were various vendors and/or employees (hereafter "vendors") putting away merchandise. Most were to one side so as to not block traffic. One idiot had a cart on one side of the aisle and then merchandise directly next to it on the floor thus completely blocking traffic. When I approached, it appeared to me that he was quickly picking up the merchandise on the floor so he could move the cart and thus allow traffic to flow. Oh, what a fool was I to believe he was removing his traffic block. He looked up to me and said something like, "Oh, I didn't see you there. YOU should have said something." Examine the situation. 1) He did not apologize for creating the block to begin with. 2) And of course, he failed to prevent a block to begin with. 3) He says he didn't see me. Let me try that when I get in a traffic accident. Would my failure to see be a defense? Or the reason for the accident? 4) He then blames me. The whole issue is apparently because I didn't say something. Apparently, the burden was on me to tell him not to block traffic to begin with. And you know why he blocked traffic to begin with? Because he can. Because no manager at the store manages. And you know for how much longer he will do it? Until the day he is fired. He is not customer oriented; he is task oriented. He doesn't the see the customer as the reason for his job, he sees the customer as a burden to his job. He likely arrives in relief at the store knowing that the manager is always nowhere to be found. No vendor in a properly managed store would ever attempt to be so stupid as to have merchandise across the floor to completely block customer traffic.
