The food was phenomenal and Itacate is added to our list now. For starters, the fresada was delicious. It is a strawberry lemonade. I also ordered a Mango version to go. Very refreshing. We started off with the Queso Fundido with chorizo. It was hot and the cheese was just so good and stretchy. Such a nice find - we don't see it on menus in Colorado so must try. We ordered several tacos - birria, cochinita, shrimp, and fish. Every taco was delicious and full of flavor on its own. The rice and beans were also very well made. Each bite just bursts in flavor. David was kind enough to also let us try the Pambazo which is kind of like a torta but they grill it with the sauce on the outside. And if you put an egg in it, it can be fantastic breakfast sandwich. For dessert, we ordered the deditios con nieve which is funnel fries with sauce and coconut ice cream.
