I'm not sure if there is new (worse) management, because I haven't seen the previous manager in a while, who was great. I live down the street and come to this location once a week. The past several times I've been in, the staff seems short-handed, irritated, and while I do feel bad for them, it affects the customers too. The rice has been hard as a rock, every time, and they purposely give you a sad amount with each scoop- to the point where I have to ask for a bit more. This never used to be the case, and they would always give a normal amount of food, which is all I'm looking for, and the rice was never hard. The kid who did my bowl the other day literally scraped old, cold rice that was cooked to the bottom of the serving dish. I was in disbelief. It was disgusting, and I really hope they make improvements soon. So disappointing, because this location used to be top notch. read more

I eat at this Qdoba about once a week and now it seems to be under new management. Today my bowl was about 1/2 the amount I usually get, including the half a scoop of meat. When I said something the person who appeared to be the shift leader said they would add more food but I would have to pay extra for another half a scoop of chicken. Just discovered this place via door dash. The first few times we ordered from them it was great..but they never seemed to get the sides and sauces right...or even the same with identical orders. Our most recent order was pretty bad..cold tacos and more missing or incorrect items (would have given them a 1 Star for this experience by itself). Their food is generally fresh and flavorful...but if you are going to order street tacos with soft corn tortillas...they completely fall apart, so you will want to have a fork read more

Update: I have returned to this location several times since the last review. It seems that this location has improved their operations. As usual, the food was good. All items were stocked. Drink machine didn't have any missing items that I saw. Both entryways were open. Orders were able to be made in-store (as well as online). It looks like they have added multiple monitors for employees to help streamline operations. That way they can quickly do their job and also focus on the customers that are ordering in-store. I can't say anything about closing times, since I haven't returned in the evening time, but there were no paper signs on the doors and the location seems to be opened during normal hours on their website. I always try to be fair in my reviews and I think most people only post negative reviews. I think that improvements have been made at this location. Based on these recent observations, I am raising my review from 2 to 5 stars. Previous Review: This location is very poorly managed. They always close early and randomly. It's always half-assed paper taped to the door last minute. Now they are only doing "online" orders. They have 6 people working with only 2 fulfilling orders. How can they not support ordering in the store? It's not like they are understaffed. Front door is locked and you have to go to the other door. Also over half the drink selections in the machine are unavailable. How can you stay on business always doing the bare minimum? Definitely not returning until they make improvements. read more

A nice young lady came out to do it and the manager came behind the counter and YELLED "(her name), get back here!" I turned to him and said "All the tables are dirty and I want to eat in!" I feel like the staff are so inconsistent at this location. Occasionally we'll go and everything is good but most of the time they give you crap burritos. Horrible service. I waited a few days to post this in hopes they might redeem themselves since my job is to deliver their food for them, although they have not. There is an older woman that will snap at you if you ask about how much longer an order that is already late will be. Even the kids that work at Chipotle have enough sense and respect to look and see so you can alert your customers why their food is late and about how much longer it will be. They are late often, move as slow as possible, have horrible customer service skills, and today when I asked the younger kid who looks as though he's never showered and has also forgot to put things in the bag before rudely replied when I asked about how much longer on a late order, he said "when it's ready." It seems as though they forget we are ALSO paying customers when we aren't providing them a service and professionalism, kindness and respect is what BRINGS CUSTOMERS BACK AND PAYS THEIR BILLS. Update:Nothing has improved. Again, I come in to pick up an order and one girl is cleaning and dumping chips. It's already late and when I ask her about how long on it, she gets flustered and says probably a few min. Walks in circles then 5 more people walk in, and one slowly goes to get the orders to look at them. One person slowly begins to make the food, as 5 stand around doing NOTHING to help him. We ordered door dash from the clarkston location yesterday and were very disappointed in how sloppy our order was put together. The quesadilla and diablo dip were crammed into a little bowl. All of the items inside the tortilla were outside of it. There burrito was stuffed so full it wasn't even fully closed wrapped in foil and there was cheese sauce all over the side of the cheese dip cup that got all over everything in the bag. I guess you have to go there to make sure it's made right and not so sloppy. read more

Qdoba, or as my household has dubbed it "Qcaca". I really don't know what is up with all those people in Clarkston that like this crap food. I have given them several chances, and everytime I feel duped for letting them trick me again into thinking they could improve over time. The food tastes all full of preservatives, like it was just thawed in a microwave and plopped on a plate. The soup tastes worse than a can. They charge extra for everything. Fast food like Taco bell tastes gourmet compared to this-- at least taco bell is cheap and tastes fresher. When I am in town, my family and I occasionally come here for Mexican food. It is definitely Americanized, but less so than 99% of the other Mexican joints in the area. In the Waterford/Clarkston area, good AUTHENTIC Mexican cuisine is almost impossible to come by. This scratches my itch, with gluten free options available, yummy carnitas(pulled pork, according to them), and usually I don't find the service to be anywhere near as bad as the other yelpers who have reviewed this location claim. They have one of those nifty Coke freestyle machines, so you're in luck if you like soda. If an authentic Mexican dining experience is what you're looking for, this is not the place for you. If you like Tex-Mex, fairly fast service, and enjoy the build-your-own style, then absolutely give Qdoba a try. I personally prefer it to Chipotle, from experience, as well as taste and quality. Man do I love Qdoba! Ok, I have to admit that I'm more of a Chipotle guy just because my experiences have been much better and more consistent. Qdoba just doesn't seem to have their training together to make it as efficient. I visited this location today and there were three people behind the counter; one doing the entire order for the people (as opposed to getting them started and passing the order down the line), one filling small cups of guac, and the other at the register checking people's ID's with their credit cards (no problem). This would work out great if there wasn't a line... I was third in line and it took almost 5 minutes for the first person to get their order almost finished... I waited about 10 minutes in line and my food was thrown together because the employees looked strained and worn out. I even had two different orders, one with habanero salsa and the other mild (for the wife) and it wasn't even marked. If I weren't color blind I guess I could tell but... Not so much... Kyle and Will were SO NICE and helpful when I went in to order. They said I needed to order on online because they are low on staff. I had catering gift cards so they took my order over the counter so I could use them. It was so nice to see smiling helpful faces when they were so busy with online orders. So, I love Qdoba, but my Yelp for this location is due to the inconsistency in the training for the food prep. There are a handful of Qdoba employees who make an awesome burrito, salad, quesadilla... but all too often I get an employee who tries to "flair" their burrito skills. Stop it. Make the food the way you are trained to, there is a reason for it. Otherwise, you get a 90% dry burrito and then 2 bites of pure sour cream (or whatever is in your burrito). Also, more often than not, I get dry/old beef on my salads. If you know the tiny bit of meat has been sitting for a while, switch it out?! Dont serve someone that, it is gross. read more

I love this place, the burritos are great! I always get the naked chicken queso burrito. The queso is delicious, and the different salsas and fresh chips are awesome. The only thing I don't like is that every time I eat there families with a bunch of small children show up and I feel like I am at chuck e cheese. I'll never go back here! I used to love it, but this new online ordering only policy defies common sense. I went there today, there were at least four people working. they wouldn't take my order in person. At The time there were no customers in the building. So I went to order online and after losing my order and having to re-input 3 times (lousy online ordering system) I went to check out and it errored out saying online ordering currently unavailable. I went back into the store and the employee, who didn't even give me the courtesy to look me in the eye, said the time slot (which I had enetered as 'ASAP') was probably unavailable. By this point the lobby had at least half a dozen angry customers standing around waiting. I go back into the website and it indicates the next available pick up time was an hour and 15 minutes later. Biggest charlie Foxtrot ever! Thanks for completely wasting my time! I'm not usually one to write reviews if I have a bad experience but I have been very disappointed in this establishment multiple times over the last several weeks. It seems as though everything is rushed and the portions are not accurate. Today many things were wrong with my order, such as chicken not even put on my entree. Cheese was also missing in one of my bowls. Lettuce was also forgotten. It just disappoints me that I have gotten amazing service elsewhere during this stressful time and this establishment just has not been putting in any effort. We are all struggling but we should all continue to work just as hard. I called to see if I could have these issues resolved and the woman on the phone said "um...okay" with a long silence until I asked if I could come get my entire order corrected.
