I wanted to leave a review both as someone who worked at Checkers and as someone who truly enjoys the food. I worked there from April 22 to May 14, 2025, and even though my time was short, I had a lot to say. First off, the food is seriously good. I love the $4 meal deals especially the cheeseburgers with pickles and sesame seed buns. The texture and flavor are always on point. Their seasoned fries are some of the best I've had, and the Nerds slushies are super fun and refreshing. I even have a few photos I took because everything looked so good! When it came to working there, my experience was okay, but I do wish I had more of a chance to grow. Since I was new to the job, they would often cut my hours. It wasn't because of anything I did wrong they just said it would be easier that way. I didn't get the opportunity to learn how to make sandwiches or burgers, which I really wanted to do, but I was never trained on that station. Instead, I mostly worked the fryer, made mozzarella sticks, and was starting to learn the register. I was trying to do my best and stay involved, especially on weekends, which I enjoyed working. Unfortunately, I was let go without being given a clear reason, but I'm still glad I got the experience and I'd be open to coming back in the future. Also, I wanted to mention something that not a lot of people may realize tipping is available at Checkers, and it's very much appreciated. Most people don't tip and that's okay because not everyone knows or feels like they need to but it does make a difference. I noticed that it's usually elderly people who leave tips, and I just want to say thank you to anyone who does. Even small tips help support the crew who's working hard behind the scenes. Overall, I love Checkers' food and I'm grateful for the experience I had working there. I hope more people continue to enjoy their meals and maybe consider leaving a little tip if they're able to! Overall, Checkers has good food and a nice environment. Some people came in to sit down and eat, and I appreciated seeing that. I did my best when I worked there to keep things clean like wiping tables, sweeping, and helping however I could. It was a fast-paced place, and I really wish I could've stayed longer. Tried to order from the drive through, there was one vehicle in the parking lot... pull up and a computer starts trying to take my order. It asked if I wanted to make my sandwich a meal, I told it no and said I wanted to take the lettuce off my sandwich and add pickles... it asked if I wanted to order Philly cheese something or other. I said "no that's not what I'm trying to order" frustrated and a human voice comes over the intercom with all of the attitude to say, "She didn't even give you a price or anything." So I said, "Oh wow!" And pulled out of the drive through to an audience of two women standing in the drive through window. If there's so many people available to watch people leave... how come a computer was trying to take my order? Wasn't anyone else in the store so... I guess they get paid to stand around doing nothing? read more

I wanted to check this place out at least once. It was fine. I got their cheese burger and seasoned fries. It was nothing special. The burger was good, typical fast food, but nothing so amazing that I really want to return. Their seasoned fries were good, but again, it was not good enough that I am aching to return any time soon. I just went on a break, so I ate fast and left. The place was fine, small dining area. The staff was fine too. It just was not the experience I was looking for. Since there are other choices for fast food, I would not pick this place, but if family wanted to try it, I would not rule out coming back here. So many of their other locations near me closed, but this is the only one I have tried. Still, I am not opposed to giving them a second chance. read more

I've been a fan of Rally's/checkers for years since it first came out. Who can forget the Seth Green commercial in the 90's. I don't care where it's located. I'll still drive to get my fill. Checker fries! Checker burger. Big Buford! This location is fine. Never had an issues here. Solid. Never missed an order. Simple. It's sad some people still have not tried this place. Never a long line. Great food! Open late. Seriously late. Even Burger King around the corner is closed at 7pm. Lol. This is post Covid. Everyone should be open late. Highly recommended read more

I came in today and the drive thru servers were the absolute sweetest, I've worked in fast food and usually I wasn't allowed to add things on at the window, some places do it, some places don't, but I asked if they still had apple pies, she said yes! told me the deal they have and added them on, seconds later handed us a bag of fresh, hot food! read more

Many, many years ago, there was a Rally's not too far away, but it closed and became a White Castle & then that closed as well, so the only time I was ever near a Rally's was when I went to the airport.I don't usually eat fast food, but Checkers/Rally's is one that I sometimes can't resist. Their fries are, hands down, the best fast food fries. I'll admit that I sometimes indulged in the fries on the way back from the airport very late at night. So, I was glad to see that Checkers opened near me....perhaps a little TOO close, if I'm not careful. I'm always tempted the most by whatever they're advertising on tv. Right now, it was a fish box -- 2 pieces of fried fish on top of a bed of fries for $2. I have to say, it was pretty respectable, although the fries got a little soggy from the fish resting on them. I also got a strawberry cheesecake sundae stacker, which is also rather good, although the cheesecake part seemed to be little cheesecake flavored lumps. My only complaint with it is that the lid is open on the top, which I didn't realize until I got home & stuck my finger in it. I realize that they think everyone eats in their cars (despite the fact that I actually went into the restaurant) and that's probably why they do it that way, but it was still odd. read more

The staff is rude and disrespectful to the customers. I was in the drive thru waiting on my order and I wanted to wait to get my food and when I told them I was not going to drive around the building to get in the back of the line. She threatened to call the GM on me. She proceeded to rant in the store like a lunatic saying stuff about me and that she's going to give me my money back and tell me to leave. Usually this Checkers gets everything spot on. The past 2 times that I have gone there, my order was either missing part of it or my order was wrong. I went there about a week ago and ordered my burger with no mustard or onion, but of course when I got home my burger had both. I went back there yesterday and I got the 4 for $3 meal which I think is an amazing deal. When I got home I noticed that I was not given my fries (which is the best part) and my coke tasted like straight carbonated water with no flavoring in it. Do not have a "full" menu. No loaded shakes. Ordered a roadhouse bacon burger, was smashed and looked nothing like the menu item. Will likely not return. Need to pay attention to presentation. Smashed burgers are not appetizing. read more

They are always slow here. I was door dashing here, picking up two orders. They handed me two drinks and I asked which one was for which order. One of the workers there said "what is she a dumb ass?" I don't always go to this Checkers, there are long periods of times between my visits. However whenever I do visit this location I remember why I don't come often, and that's when I'm cursing at myself for not checking the bag for missing items. They ALWAYS mess something up, and I sure am sick of it. And the quality that they put their food together is varying with disappointing results. If you are in the area and are hungry, there are a lot of OTHER and CHEAPER alternatives to this restaurant around the area. And those restaurants are good at making sure you get your correct order! However if you *MUST* have Checkers I'd recommend going to the other Checkers near this location. This place is already kind of expensive, so I hope you don't get screwed out of money like I did. read more

Went there twice now will not go back. Both times the staff made us feel very uncomfortable. Both times we went there we pulled up to the window and they just handed us the food, didn't say anything just stood in the window stared at us until we drove away. Food was okay but not worth feeling that uncomfortable. Won't go back.... I'll dive to another location before going back to that one. read more

I first tried checkers out of town and the food, prices and service was great! My son and I loved it so much we went back today here in our town and the service was good and fast, but food was just ok and I got the wrong order, my son's was ok. I ordered a bacon burger and got the plain little burger certainly not worth what I had paid. I will go back but be more careful and look before leaving. read more

Well I hadnt realized they had opened one near me til last week. I decided to try it and see how it was. The food was good (moist burgers not like the dried out ones at some places, fresh ingrediants on the burgers (No wilted lettice or tasteless tomatos). Completely horrible! I went inside to order paid and waited more than 20 minutes for my order. I finally left without my food. When I got home I called the manager and told him he owed me a couple of chicken sandwiches that I paid for and never got next time I came in because the wait was so long. He argued with me telling me to come back right now and get it. Horrible service and horrible manager! Should be fired!
