He accused me of working for Yelp and moving up his negative reviews...... I moved to Brooklyn in the beginning of October and brought my dog with me. I had a dog walker for the first few weeks but unfortunately she was getting booked up with other dogs in her neighborhood (I was a bit out of the way for her), so I had to search for another on short notice. I messaged a bunch of businesses in our area to compare prices and see if they service my area in general, QC was one of them. The first message was on 11/16 to inquire about pricing. I was already a bit skeptical after seeing some of the 1 star reviews (specifically the one where someone's dog was hit by a car and the owner responded really negatively), but I thought I'd reach out anyway because maybe this was just a one time occurrence. Boy was I wrong. Although this place was the cheapest, the response from the owner when I originally inquired about pricing completely threw me off and gave me a bad vibe. Along with the other 1 star reviews, I just didn't feel comfortable with the owner and how he would potentially deal with situations when they arise, so I went with another business. I'd rather have some peace of mind when someone is handling my dog rather than saving a mere $10 a week. Today is 11/20, and out of nowhere, I receive these messages from the business owner. I couldn't believe this was something he'd actually send to me.... I was accused of working with Yelp because some of his reviews were moved down???? Completely unprofessional, rude, and I'm so glad I trusted my gut to not move forward with QC. read more

Rhett and his team have been great from the beginning! Like many people, I am absolutely obsessed with my dog and don't trust just anyone with him. I feel very lucky that I found Rhett and Justyn (our actual dog walker). Rhett is always super responsive even when I request a last minute walk. Justyn cares for my dog so much and I've witnessed it first hand! After every walk I get a photo of my dog and an update on how he did. I love it! Sometimes I work from home and Justyn will come in quietly and grab my dog. If I'm on a call, he's really good about being quiet and caring for my dog. I've hopped around a few different dog walkers since I moved to Brooklyn. My first experience was awful, my second great -- but I live in Crown Heights and not a lot of dog walkers deal with that area, so the second dog walker decided to cancel service there. That's when I went to QC Dog Walking with Rhett and crew. It's be a great experience and I'm really happy with them. It's really easy to schedule, reschedule, and even cancel plus the dog walkers are super, super reliable. Once I got locked out of my apartment when my roommate was gone and the landlord and sup were MIA for the weekend, I didn't have a backup key but I texted Rhett and he helped me get in contact with my regular dog walker, get my key, and get into my apartment in less than hour. We hired Rhett to catsit for us while we were away on vacation. During the 1st introduction, we informed him that we had a nanny cam to keep an eye on our cats. He must have forgotten because through the camera, we noticed that he showed up the 1st day but didnt show up the 2nd or 3rd day but continued to send us photos of his "visits". The photos he texted us did not have any metadata when he sent them to us. We confronted him about this when we returned and he was very unprofessional. His responses were nasty and defensive. For the record, this experience happened a few years ago. As I was recounting the story to a friend, I realized that I never left a review. I simply wish to inform people so they wont have to go through the same awful experience. No pet should have to go through not being fed or given fresh water for 2 days at a time plus by not showing up each day that he agreed to, he did not fully provide services that we paid for. read more

They were amazing and really knew how to handle my stubborn boys. After having our first daughter and being home healing from a c-section, QC was a life saver. Our dog is very reactive and weary of meeting other people and dogs. After losing her first walker, we were very stressed about finding a replacement. From our first meeting with the owner Rhett, I was impressed by his dedication and professionalism in handling her. She gets individual walks, and the same person she knows returning each day. She was crossing the street from the prospect park entrance with the dogs behind her, the driver didn't see my dog and ran over his lower body. Quality dog walking walked our dogs for approximately two years. We have relied on them consistently during this time and they are always available when we need them. I always have peace of mind knowing that if we are working late or need to go to work much earlier than normal, that I can simply text Rhett and he will respond within moments. We recently moved across country and I hope I can find someone as dedicated, cautious, and caring about our dogs as Rhett and his team. I looked forward to the daily pictures of our dogs that I would receive during each of their walks. We had a frustrating experience with QC. A week into our time with them our dog ran away from her walker, leash still on. Our dog was missing for 22 hours until we found her at a schoolyard near our house. The incident was obviously traumatic for the dog, and incredibly emotionally taxing for us. While of course this was an accident, we felt the way Rhett (owner of QC) handled the situation was unprofessional. He did bike around looking for our dog until the evening and reimbursed us for the money we spent on fliers. However, we were notified 45 min after our dog initially ran off, we were never told what actually happened, and, after we told Rhett we were no longer going to use his service, he told us we were "irrational" in a very acerbic email. All in all, we feel exasperated after this experience. We want potential QC clients to be aware of communication issues that might arise when working with Rhett. read more

We could not recommend Rhett and QC Dog Walking highly enough. It is very easy to schedule, re-schedule and add walks when those late nights at work inevitably come up. If you're looking for an accountable dog walking service, keep looking. The walkers don't use clips for the leashes and lost one of our dogs, then did very little to help find her. Questionable behavior in many ways, although if you ask Rhett nothing that goes wrong on his watch is actually his fault. It's actually your fault. read more
