Arya enjoying playtime when she saw us picking her up!

Woofs has saved our lives, we have 4 dogs with different needs and characters, and they give each one special treatment. They care about my babies as much as I do and that for me it's just marvelous. We have left them there several times when we travel for work or vacations, always found them healthy and happy when we came back. Darla, female pug, suffers of allergies and they give her her daily pill and once in a long travel her allergies attack her and woofs took her to the vet immidiately. Their staff is nice and caring, Marisol specifically, Mari is adorable and knows everything about my dogs. I just have good things to say, keep the great work!

Our dog Jack was mauled at Woofs and Whiskers. The only thing they handled properly in the matter was bringing him to the vet. Our pup needed to go under anesthesia to have surgery and had over 40 stitches to repair the damage. Their response when we asked what happened was to remind us that we signed a waiver stating that we acknowledged that dogs will often bite each other. They did not even ask how he was until we followed up. They originally told me that the dog that attacked jack chased him and bit him from behind and then changed their story and said that jack fell on the other dog which instigated the other dog. Regardless of what provoked the situation, the fact that Jack's bites were so severe leads me to believe that the dog was aggressive in nature and was allowed into the daycare either by failure to identify this aggression or ignorance of it. To put it into perspective the other dog had 2 staples on his snout which was from Jack defending himself. These people do not care about your dog it is a commodity. Its going to be said when someone's pet dies because of negligence and they come back to them and remind them of the waiver they signed which allows them to be incompetent. We LOVE Woofs 'n' Whiskers -- have been bringing our 2-year-old Husky for doggie day care twice per week since he was about four months old... We now often refer to the Woofs crew as "Leo's other family"... They have a large outdoor space in which the dogs can run around, the dogs are arranged by group so they're playing with dogs of similar size/energy, and the staff is amazing and and seems to care for the dogs like their own. They routinely post pictures of the pets in their care on Instagram (I've posted a few here), and are happy to email a picture at any point if requested. Leo PULLS me to the door when we arrive in the morning, and is happy and content (and tired!) when I pick him up. We're so grateful to be able to trust WnW with Leo -- he's come so far socially and we know it's in large part because of Woofs 'n' Whiskers. One of the best in NYC!!

Just realized it's been a little while since I hyped up the best pet groomer in the world and the…read morecute little spa I bring my fur babies too. My pups are almost 2 and 3 years old now and Gabby has been their groomer for their entire lives. Gabby is patient, talented and overall a dope human. My babies are always so well taken care of and always look so fresh and fly whenever they come from seeing Gabby. I became a mom to a human baby this year and naturally fell off for a little while in terms of grooming my pups at home in between their appointments with Gabby (breastfeeding, sleep deprived mom here). Although I would beat myself up (thanks mom guilt), Gabby never made me feel like a horrible dog mom. In fact, Gabby has been supportive, understanding and very patient while I got back on track with my pups. Now, Gabby stays booked and busy so sometimes I have the urge to gatekeep her, but I know that's not fair. So I'm writing this post for other loving dog (& cat) parents out there who are looking for a trustworthy groomer who also does a phenomenal job. Also, Liz at the front desk is a gem! She's also been so supportive and helpful with getting my pups in and out the door for their appointments and helping me pre-book their appointments. I've watched her multi-task on more than one occasion and she never misses a beat. The other groomers in the shop are always polite and friendly too looking up to briefly say hello/acknowledge you which makes this place feel warm and inviting. Also, like with everything else the prices went up ever so slightly which at first I was like :-/ but then I walked into the spa yesterday and saw they updated the space and it made me feel better. As a regular customer, you notice when a business takes pride in itself vs those that "let themselves go" and it was refreshing and reassuring to see that the location had been spruced up. The white walls were boring and drab before but now they have an adorable design that reflects a good energy. Our fur babies are our heartbeats and our lifeline for many of us and the new design reflects that vibe. Keep up the good work, ALC!!!

With that being said, I'm VERY happy with paws & Recs and the care that they provide for my baby while I'm away. He's been a total of 3 times and I am happy when he's there. Here are the pros: - SUPER spacious!!! I loveeeee the amount of room that there is for the dogs to run and play all day long including the back yard area. - They do really nice things for the dogs such as pool days when the weather is super hot. - My baby always comes back in a great mood and exhausted! He gets so much exercise and mental stimulation during the day. - You can get updates on how your dig is doing during the day by reaching out to Jenny or checking their Instagram stories. This makes me so happy as they regularly update their daily activities. - Lots of treats and water for the dogs during the day. - Staff informs you of their day at pick up :) You can tell they really care about your dog. - They have extended care hours if requested for reasonable pricing. - Super organized with cubbies for your dogs belongings so no mix ups there I highly recommend and we'll be back!

What I love about Paws & Rec is that they pickup the dogs for a full two hours. Your dog gets experience walking with their "pack" and makes other doggy friends they'll see consistently. They get a ton of off leash time in one of the various dog runs in the area. On each walk, they'll sometimes visit up to 3 different parks. Jenny was very easy to work with and setup a meet and greet with Jeffrey (my 4month old Goldendoodle) and her son Christian. My walker, Stan, is SO professional and awesome. He updates his Instagram with photos and an insta story during every walk so you can see footage of your baby running around and playing. It's awesome! During Jeffrey's first walk, we had a mini crisis with a faulty apartment key (my fault). Jenny and Stan were super professional, and brought Jeffrey to a nearby Paws & Rec sitter's house until I could run from work to pick him up. I was so thankful Jeffrey was in safe hands! They didn't even charge me for all their extra effort. I really couldn't recommend Paws & Rec more. Super professional, reliable, and trustworthy. *They also offer full day field trips to doggy friendly destinations!

From day one, she was straightforward, honest, and clear about what we needed to work on, which I truly appreciated. She didn't sugarcoat things, and she was always patient and supportive throughout the entire process. Her knowledge and expertise were obvious in every session. She explained the "why" behind everything we were doing, which gave me so much confidence and clarity. Thanks to Lulu's guidance, Charlie has made huge progress, and I feel so much more equipped to help her continue to gain confidence. If you're dealing with separation anxiety (or any training challenges), I can't recommend Lulu enough. She's the best!

The training sessions that followed helped transform my pup from an extreme leash tugger with zero regard for my attempts at recall and a tendency to eat things that landed her in the ER into an attuned dog who, despite still making her way out of the teenage phase, is now pleasant to take on walks, fun to play with off leash, and often gets praised by unknowing strangers as "so calm" and "well trained." We achieved this during a perfect storm of digestive challenges limiting the ability to reward with high value treats, hormonal swings during a rager of a heat cycle, and high exercise needs that were challenging to meet for a dog that couldn't safely be off leash. Natasha made me feel optimistic, free of judgment, and had so much empathy for me and my dog throughout.

It's hard to take him for walks in the direction of Wag Club because he would stop at a corner 3 blocks away and not budge. Though this review is less about the dog and more about how Wag Club is doubly great for the humans behind the dog. Grooming::: Marta is wonderful. She's always attentive in grooming Zorba. She sometimes even does some last minute adjustments as I'm picking him up. Great attention to detail. There was some miscommunication regarding payment a while ago- John and the team provided clear communication and we were able to come to a resolution. Customer service was excellent. (Side note: They're quick with emails too.) Training::: Zorba did an agility training class with Rob (Dogboy) who is amazing. He's passionate about dogs, is a strong enforcer of positive reinforcement training, and is helpful around other behavior issues that your dog may be having. Daycare::: Everyone is so friendly and personable. Molly, James, Stephanie, Laura, etc. It feels like a community/family, which is nice to experience when I'm dropping off a beloved family member. Zorba has been going there for 7 or 8 months now, and I was surprised at how quickly they became familiar with him - even to recognizing him in the street. Zorba had an injury at one point (not from WC) and they were understanding and flexible with our daycare schedule. The facility is spacious by NYC standards and the space is always clean. They're responsible, reliable, fun, and I know I can always trust them to take care of my dog to the best of their ability. I once got out of a cab with Zorba and lost my grip on the leash. I panicked for a moment but then he ran right towards Wag Club and sat in front of the door. Doh. Stephanie took great care of him while I went back to the cab to get my things. Look how happy Zorba is to receive a treat! Of course, they always have him sit before he receives anything.
