I can not rave enough about the Peaceful Pack. Not only are their services fantastic but I've had…read morenothing but positive experiences with everyone from their staff that I've interacted with. In October of 2015 we adopted Fozzy, a 5 month old toy poodle. Though he was wee wee pad trained by Day 3 we weren't able to transition him to going potty outside because he would not walk. We tried just about everything but we couldn't even get him to successfully walk down a full block. I scoured the internet trying to find dog trainers near by without much luck (I either never heard back, or there were wait lists, or the prices were too outrageous). I was venting about my struggles at work one day when a coworker recommended the Peaceful Pack. Behavior Modification - When James showed up he immediately began the session based on the initial reaction and interaction with Fozzy. His approach is focused on the psychology between dog and owner. Basically it was more about training us than the dog! Not only did we get great tips for dealing with his bratty puppy behavior but he got Fozzy to walk outside!! It was a miracle! He not only walked down 1 block, he walked to the next neighborhood! James taught us the right techniques and Fozzy not only has walked every since but he loves going outside! Dog walking - Once we got Fozzy pottying outside we set up regular afternoon walks. We initially wanted a pack walk but our building wouldn't allow it so he gets an individual with the fantastic walker, Tavon. I've been home a few times and got to witness how excited Fozzy gets when Tavon arrives. We noticed a huge improvement in Fozzy's overall demeanor after only a few weeks of starting his walks. He was less timid and more social and excited to go outside. PP has also been very accommodating when we've needed additional walks or last minute changes. We had scheduled an early evening walk on Christmas Day. Unfortunately the person working the front desk at our building that day couldn't find the information in he computer and sent the walker away. PP called me but it was an hour before I checked my phone. I called them back in a panic asking if they could possibly send someone back and they did!

Thanks to James, from Peaceful Pack, our babygirl is back to her old walk loving self again!!!! He made us realize things that we were doing wrong and ways in which we were making her even more anxious. He also showed us very easy to use walking techniques and sat down with us and answered all the questions we had. Our one session was game changing and we couldn't be more grateful!!! I highly recommend!

I love the location as well- right near the park and pier if you wanted to just hang out there while you wait. They don't crate the dogs when they are not grooming them - so all the dogs just hang out on the floor which I thought was pretty cute.

It's hard to take him for walks in the direction of Wag Club because he would stop at a corner 3 blocks away and not budge. Though this review is less about the dog and more about how Wag Club is doubly great for the humans behind the dog. Grooming::: Marta is wonderful. She's always attentive in grooming Zorba. She sometimes even does some last minute adjustments as I'm picking him up. Great attention to detail. There was some miscommunication regarding payment a while ago- John and the team provided clear communication and we were able to come to a resolution. Customer service was excellent. (Side note: They're quick with emails too.) Training::: Zorba did an agility training class with Rob (Dogboy) who is amazing. He's passionate about dogs, is a strong enforcer of positive reinforcement training, and is helpful around other behavior issues that your dog may be having. Daycare::: Everyone is so friendly and personable. Molly, James, Stephanie, Laura, etc. It feels like a community/family, which is nice to experience when I'm dropping off a beloved family member. Zorba has been going there for 7 or 8 months now, and I was surprised at how quickly they became familiar with him - even to recognizing him in the street. Zorba had an injury at one point (not from WC) and they were understanding and flexible with our daycare schedule. The facility is spacious by NYC standards and the space is always clean. They're responsible, reliable, fun, and I know I can always trust them to take care of my dog to the best of their ability. I once got out of a cab with Zorba and lost my grip on the leash. I panicked for a moment but then he ran right towards Wag Club and sat in front of the door. Doh. Stephanie took great care of him while I went back to the cab to get my things. Look how happy Zorba is to receive a treat! Of course, they always have him sit before he receives anything.

True story: Mark once fought off a raccoon that attacked Sammy in the middle of the day during a walk and was much more concerned about Sammy being ok than himself. He is conscientious, great with animals, and takes wonderful photos. Everyone we have recommended Mark to has been very happy with him. We are lucky to have found him (by word of mouth originally) and we highly recommend him! Edit to add that he has been walking Sammy since 2018 and has more than once been able to squeeze us in on short notice for an unexpected weekend walk.

Our "corporate" walking service had permanently shuttered without notice, leaving us out in the cold. When I apologized for his conduct, Mark replied "no problem--I take care of animals for a living." I promptly took Mark's business card and he's been nothing short of a lifesaver ever since. Overnights, mid-day walks, longterm stays, Mark does it all, including feedings and prompt updates with photos. I couldn't begin to count the number of times each such service had to be requested on short notice and Mark was able to come through. If that weren't enough, my dog--a rescue-- has considerable behavioral deficits. Because of this, there are about 4 people in this world to whom I entrust my furry friend with complete confidence. Mark is one of them.
