This is the most amazing pet care service. I have been working with them for about a year and a half, ever since I moved to Brooklyn with my dog. I live in an old 3-key walk up and would never be able to use one of the apps like Wag or Rover. And I would never want to! Jess and Megan (the owners) were so available and communicative. They always approved walks even the night before or same day, and I know my dog was treated fantastic. We had one walker, Derek, for almost the whole time (he was great). Whenever Derek was on vacation or unavailable they would tell me ahead of time so I would know who was walking Rue. When Rue was walking with someone she had never met, they would do a trial walk to make sure it was a good fit (it always was). They also leave brief messages after every walk saying how it went. Additionally, their website is incredible. It is so easy to schedule walks, they approve them very quickly (usually within a few hours), and they also have a great bidirectional messaging tool so it's easy to keep in touch. The Dog Walking Network has been a lifesaver and we consider ourselves extremely lucky to have stumbled on them over two years ago. We first reached out because we rescued a pitbull who, sadly, had never been socialized. She's a sweetie to humans, but doesn't like other dogs. Which means we had to find solo walks, which aren't as easy to come by as one might think. I met Amy on the street one day. I had boarded my dog somewhere else and she had gotten bit. Amy was walking some other dogs (including my landlord's dog!) and was so nice when I met her. Amy and Lynne came to my house to meet the Lambchopper and discuss the entire process. Since then, boarding my dog has been an absolute pleasure. Lamby is picked up and brought home before I even know she's gone. To be perfectly honest, I think she gets better exercise when she's boarding than when I am home! They started as our back-up option (when our regular walker wasn't available) and their service, consistency and professionalism convinced us to switch them to our primary service provider. You can tell they really love their jobs and care about their pets and clients. Carmen is our regular walker and my dog goes bananas when he sees her on the street. He loves her. He can't wait to be near her. Any time Carmen can't walk our dog, she asks if she can introduce him to someone new and gives me feedback on their meeting. He is never "picked up" by a stranger, they always bring someone he knows - even if he's walked by two people. Amy runs a really efficient and seamless business. Their billing is prompt, clear and fair. Communications are handled via email, which is really nice. The regular walks are great our dog has clearly bonded with his walker, but the weekend stay options really set this company apart from others. Our dog is a rescue and does not like being crated, so we can't board him when we travel. The Dog Walking Network offers an amazing option. They place your pet in the home of non-pet owning pet lovers for the weekend OR they will stay in your home. The fees are comparable to that of a kennel, but your pet is comfortable and doted on. The families our dog stays with live just off Prospect Park, so he gets lots of exercise on his weekends away. Amy has mentioned that he isn't ready to leave his vacation home most weekends. Let me start by saying that I write a review for a business less than once/year and only for ones that have really awesome customer service. When we first got our dog, Maxie, she was 3 months old and we had absolutely no idea what we were doing. We found The Dog Walking Network via Yelp and reached out to them Saturday afternoon after bringing her home. In no time, we had an appointment scheduled for Amy to come by and meet her the next day. She instantly made us feel at ease and confident that Maxie would be well taken care of. Given that we were totally new to this, we asked a ton of questions over email and the response was always prompt and professional. If there's any change in service or new dog walkers, you're always notified before it happens. We had several weekend weddings to attend right after getting Maxie, so we used their overnight stay services as well, at $90/night for a puppy. A walker stays at your place while you're away, which means she gets plenty of individualized attention. The first time we came back, I'm pretty sure they'd even washed the bed sheets right before they left. I'm always a fan of unexpected cleanings! Finally, we went away for two weeks in the fall on a trip planned pre-Maxie. We wanted Maxie to stay with my boyfriend's brother + girlfriend, but they live in Fort Greene. Without hesitation, The Dog Walking Network made it work even though Fort Greene is outside their coverage zone, so Maxie was able to continue her daily walks with them. All in all, The Dog Walking Network made it so, so much easier on us when we were embarking on the crazy adventure that is adopting a puppy in NYC. We will forever be appreciative for it. read more

He was already an elderly dog then, and while he didn't have any visible health issues when he first came to live with me, I knew that there would be issues down the line. The Dog Walking Network made everything so seamless and easy, even when my elderly dog's issues became difficult. They have clear, concise guidelines that lay out how everything works on their website. And everything from scheduling, information, and contacting is all online, so I always had a clear record of everything. And it made it super easy whenever I needed to make alterations or cancelations to my dog's walking routine.  The people I worked with at The Dog Walking Network went above and beyond. Everyone I worked with from the owner Amy, to my primary dog walker Rich, and all of the office staff, were always kind, knowledgable, efficient and professional. During the many ups and downs towards the end of my dog's life, when he was sick, our walker Rich was very caring and considerate with him. It really eased my mind to know my dog was in good hands while I was at work every day. Despite their name these ladies cater WONDERFULLY for cat owners too. Summary - visit to meet the cats, online account where clients can reserve/request visits in various time-slots, reassuring emails with photos, cats fed and played with, everything left immaculate, follow up. No hassle, I'll certainly use them again. Details - We were leaving our two for the first time and obviously I was a little nervous - especially since the cats are young rescue cats we've only had a few months - but as soon as I met Lynne I started to feel more confident. Despite my giving less than a week's notice they were able to arrange for her to come and meet the cats before we went away and easily accomodated our requirements. She came round to the flat and made sure both kitties saw as well as heard her by getting down to their under the bed eye level without actually pushing herself into their space and making them feel trapped.She explained what she usually does, I showed her the food, litter set up etc. (I wondered if they might need two visits a day but this was never pushed for by Lynne despite being more lucrative.) and that was that. (& It transpired that she knows the lady responsible for our cats' rescue which was a plus point for me.) After she left I actually changed my mind about the timing of the visits so .. I just went to my online account and changed things - I had a text shortly after to confirm. Now to the best bit - while we were away I got one email per visit with a photo of my two scaredy cats out in the open seemingly indifferent to our absence (! I know right cats ?). The cats were progressively closer each visit too. From what she said I KNOW she is talking about my cats not just repeating generalisations which could apply to any cat. When we got home the place was immaculate and the cats looked none the worse for wear. Obviously I'll still miss the cats the next time we go away but I won't worry about them ! read more

Going out of town and having to leave your dog behind is never fun, but they made me feel really comfortable. Besides being wonderful pet sitters (They've been watching my two cats for a few years now.) they are just really nice, decent, trustworthy (important because they have a set of keys to my house) people who adore animals. My kitties are always so happy when Amy and Lynne (or anyone on their team for that matter) sit for them - they get a full half hour of intense play-time. And my plants get watered too, which is a bonus. We met Amy and the Dog Walking Network after doing extensive research. We were going on a short vacation and we were in desperate need for an alternative to the usual boarding, which we tried in the past and left us with an unhappy feeling...and an unhappy dog. So we were very fortunate to read about the Dog Walking network and we decided to give it a try. From the moment that Amy came to our home to meet Vesper - our Cavalier King Charles - we knew that everything was going to be great. She took the time to explain to us their method, which is to find the most appropriate match for our dog based on their knowledge, and from there we went over Vesper's routine, diet, schedules..etc... it was the most complete and pleasant doggy interview ever. Amy recommended Jen to take care of Vesper for the days we went away. Jen's background sounded perfect, but so we could all be sure about it, Amy set up a meeting between us, Vesper and Jen at Jen's apartment. These things are done only by someone who truly loves and cares for people, animals, running a beautiful business and doing a good deed for everyone. Jen was beyond amazing and Vesper had the best vacation of her life. We stayed in touch during our trip and she even sent us beautiful pictures of Vesper having a fun as the days went by. When we returned Vesper was happy, healthy and more playful than ever. That was the day that I met Lynn & that was about 6 years ago. She was cat sitting for my neighbor & I've used her cat sitting services ever since. We just started using The Dog Walking Network and we couldn't be happier. We adopted our cat 2 years ago, and have been relying on friends and family up until now. It became clear that our little high maintenance kitty needed more than the occasional check-in while we were away, and based on their yelp reviews we decided to contact The Dog Walking Network. From our first dealings with them they have been great. Lynne came over to meet our cat, stayed until he (finally--he is a bit of a scaredy cat) came out, and by the end of the meet and greet he was crawling all over her. We scheduled one visit before a week long vacation, during which Lynne sent 4 pictures of our kitty playing with her. While we were on our vacation, Lynne sent daily emails about our kitty and her visits with him. She also tried to introduce him to a new sitter, but since we warned her that he tends not to like men she came with him for a few visits, because she didn't want to leave the new sitter until our cat was comfortable with him. We feel so much better traveling now, since we don't have to worry about our kitty. If we could give a sixth star we would! read more
