Maria is my savior. I am VERY particular about who cares my for my dogs after several bad experiences with dog walkers (not showing but still charging, scaring my dog enough that she hid under the couch when he came in the door) but I immediately trusted her. Plus! She got the official endorsement from my mom. She is reliable, flexible for late work nights and emergencies, and she makes my dogs happy. My animals are so important to me and she eases my worries by being so wonderful. Please! Use her. You will not be disappointed. Ps. Her Instagram is amazing. Meet Josie.

I have to admit I was nervous when I sent our puppy to Gabriel for a week of board and train…read more because our puppy was to put it simply .. ' a wild thing' When going for walks he would nip at our ankles , do crazy zoomies , jump on every person , absolutely refuse to walk . At home he would chew every object and even my clothing and arms and I was told by countless people ' this is normal he is just a puppy don't worry he will hopefully settle down in 2 years ' 2 years!!!!!! I could not wait that long ! I was in tears when I first met Gabriel as I was awoken at 4am daily with sharp barking and my puppy had chewed on my favorite dress . Never in a million years would I have guessed that a 4lb puppy could cause me such anxiety . After Gabriel taught us a bunch of strategies and worked on him for a week our pup came back a brand new pup! He is much more confident and acting more like a dog in the park and on walks .. sniffing and exploring yet he knows boundaries and is cooperating nicely walking by my side . Today for the first time in 6 months I could eat a plate of meatballs without him barking sharply in my face. Thank you thank you thank you Gabriel you are a dog genius !!!!! We can't wait to take our puppy to our favorite outdoor restaurant to have a family meal

I chose Gabriel to train my new rescue, Scrappy, after reading quite literally hundreds of…read moreimpressive five-star reviews across several platforms. After working with him, I can confidently say that those reviews were not an exaggeration. We worked with Gabriel through both individual sessions in our home and board-and-train. From our very first meeting, it was obvious that his approach goes far beyond what others offer. Gabriel is a behaviorist who focuses on understanding the psychology and emotional state behind a dog's behavior beyond simply teaching commands or correcting unwanted behaviors. One of the most impressive things about working with him is how quickly he can read a dog and understand what is actually driving their behavior. Before choosing Gabriel, I met with several other trainers. They charged hundreds of dollars just to assess Scrappy, and those evaluations largely consisted of provoking reactions and then explaining how they could address the problems later in training. Gabriel took a completely different approach. Within seconds of meeting Scrappy, he was already working with him. In the first session, Gabriel had my nervous little dog, who we had thought was possibly people and dog reactive, off-leash walking around with big dogs and welcoming greetings from their owners. The board-and-train was also an excellent experience. I really appreciated knowing that Scrappy was not only receiving high-level training but was also being cared for by Gabriel and his family. It was clear that they made his well-being a priority, which gave me peace of mind while he was away. Gabriel sent daily video updates. Scrappy's confidence, reactivity, resource guarding, impulse control, and recall all improved significantly during his time with Gabriel. Just as importantly, Gabriel taught us how to continue the work at home. We definitely still have work to do on our end, but Gabriel gave us an excellent foundation and the tools to keep moving forward. Gabriel is exceptionally committed to the dogs he works with. Even though we are not currently meeting regularly with him, he is available to answer follow-up questions and provide guidance when needed. It is also clear that he wants the owners of the dogs he trains to be self-sufficient. One thing that really stood out to me is how flexible and creative Gabriel is in his approach. It's clear that his background in jazz has influenced the way he works--he's incredibly adaptable, thinks on his feet, and seems to instinctively know when to change course based on what the dog is giving him in the moment. Nothing feels scripted or one-size-fits-all. He has a remarkable ability to improvise, problem-solve, and find the right approach in real time, which I think is a huge part of what makes him so effective. Gabriel truly went above and beyond for Scrappy, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you are looking for a trainer in the New York area who understands dogs on a deeper level and genuinely cares about their long-term success and well-being, I highly recommend Gabriel and Pawmos Training.

I had an unruly beast of a puppy when she first came along this summer. She knew right away how to keep him in behavior mode, while still being very sweet to him. She's not one of those lazy dogwalkers either, doing the minimum as many do. It is great for me as I often come home from work to a pleasantly exhausted dog. Now we've hit fall and I feel like I have a much more manageable creature to return home to after a long day of work. In addition to being one of the more trustworthy and honest people I have ever hired in such a capacity, she's also very available and when she can't assist me, she knows who else to refer me to. Oh, and she has a way with people too - after dogsitting once, she left me a vase of flowers and a nice note on a card, reporting all the things my dog got to do while I was away. I would recommend Rebecca to anyone looking for a responsible & considerate person to trust their animal friend with.

She had no problem handling the rules of the house in that regard. Also, our dog is a rescue - he was neglected and abused before we came across him, so he doesn't trust people readily. She was not intimidated at all and, although he was a bit wary at first, she soon buttered him up. In addition to being clear about who was the alpha, she gave him great rub-downs - after years of neglect, he really needs a lot of affection in order to trust people. She clearly had a natural grasp of canine hierarchy and dog mentality and once she got him to trust her, she even started to offer him some obedience training. He always ended up very orderly after an afternoon with her. My fiance and I were very pleased! We, and our four cats and dog, highly recommend this great dogwalker and petsitter!
