People complaining about long waits, yes at times it is a long wait because they are good. However just with any nail place there are good technicians and others that are bad. I went New Year's Eve my first time and there was only like a 5 minute wait. I had them done by a gentleman named Kevin, I loved the nails they were an ombré and beautifully shaped. However, not even 6 days later they had all lifted :( my friend went with me and had the exact same ombré and length done by jimmy and hers did not lift and even lasted perfect until a fill was needed. When it came time for my friend to get a fill again about 3 weeks later. She really wanted to come here and get her nails done again. So I gave them another chance. This time a lady did my nails and I did not catch her name. This time i had them done differently and they feel sturdy 4 days later, they feel strong, show no signs of lifting. (Which when I got them done with Kevin after 3 days I felt how weak they were and had to be super delicate with them) Long story short. They do great nails. Always beautiful. However not all technicians are great so just be careful of that. Would recommend because such a clean and nice location and the staff is very friendly. read more

Okay so I went to this place a total of three times in the past few months. I was recommended this place by friend, I even saw their instagram and I was impressed by the nail designs I saw. The staff was friendly for the most part. But in all the years I have gotten my nails done, which has been at least a decade, I have never gotten an infection from a pedicure. Until my last pedicure I received at q nails on April 26,2019. My toe was in the worst pain for a week, I needed to visit the doctor to confirm that I did have an infection. read more

Here, if you want the gel pedicure they charge you an extra fee but don't tell you until you check out. I found this place because it was close to my job and I needed to get a mani/pedi badly. I went at lunchtime on a Monday and there weren't many people there which I appreciated. They took me quickly and did an efficient job but it wasn't anything great. I had to tell the nail tech TWICE to check my nail length. One hand my nails were way longer than the other. Also, the corners of my nails all weren't painted. It's like the tech was trying to save polish. If I'm in a bind I would come here again but I think $42 for a gel mani/regular pedi should come with STELLAR services. read more

Update as of: 5/9/17 - It hasn't even been a week since I last visited and the clear gel has started to lift off my nails. I am very disappointed and thought perhaps it was just me but upon reading someone else's review, I'm glad to know I'm not going crazy! I'm super bummed and although I was overall impressed with the service, I can't continue to pay for a service that won't last longer than 3 weeks. -------------------------------------------------- It's been a while since I've been inspired to write a review but today I met a one of a kind technician by the name of Jim/Jimmy (same person). I had been on the hunt for a nail shop closer to home and quite honestly, my nail technician although very skilled was starting to disappoint AND not to mention she was on the opposite side of town so it was quite the commute. I won't get into details but point blank, I needed a change and had been searching via Yelp for the last few months. A couple of days ago I stumbled across Q Nails and I read all the wonderful reviews for Jim! I was nervous as usual to start over with someone new and also because I'm pretty picky, but I took a chance! I called yesterday afternoon to make an appointment for today at 5:30pm and made it just in time. Unfortunately he was still working on someone else so I had to wait about 10-15 minutes extra. Luckily i was in no rush and so I was happy to wait. In between waiting he asked what I'd be getting done, he offered me the gel colors to choose a color and also checked back in to see what I had decided on. Once my wait was over he brought me over to his station and actually took into consideration my additional requests which were to replace a broken nail and cut down, I was off to a good start! :) I felt incredibly comfortable the entire time and his attention to detail was over the roof. He cut my nails down and asked if the length was okay, he checked and matched each one of my nails to make them as even as possible and when filling down the nail he removed and replaced , he saw that I was kinda iffy about the shape and he kept telling me to let him know if he should change anything. I couldn't believe that he actually CARED how I felt. Most nail techs get mad if they catch you staring at the shape lol! I honestly have never met anyone like him. Oh and when it came down to the polish, I choose a green/purple chrome color but somehow the lids to each container were switched around so he kept applying the wrong color but that didn't stop him from fixing it and finding the one I originally chose. He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and that's what truly sold me. All in all - I will DEFINITELY BE returning again! I'm so happy I gave this place a chance. read more

Ok so I had originally given this place 5 stars but have to take it down to 2 stars. Just after 4 days or so, the clear layer of gel nail polish started to come off. I have NEVER had that happen to me before. I am pretty disappointed because I thought I had "found the one"...I guess it was too good to be true...On the upside, that does not change their customer service. I till give them 5 stars on that! I brought my boyfriend for his first pedicure and he wasn't crazy impressed either. The manicure was the best I've ever had though. They were so helpful, with little menus for pricing and they had pictures of different nail shapes at the desk so that you could tell them exactly what you wanted. Completely disappointed. Ive been coming here for a little over a year and I'd say Ive been 100% satisfied with the way my nails, mani and pedi's come out about half the time. Which is pretty normal because you don't always get the same staff (unless you make an appt. or request) which I don't do since I always walk in and take whomever is available first. But lately its been like everyone messes something up. Except for Lily, she's always been great with pedicures. Im not picky, I just don't like paying more thanl $55 for a gel mani and gel pedi to walk out with my nails looking "crusty" and ironically "un-manicured". I've had it with thinking "oh, its fine. Maybe next time I'll get someone that does a better job" because they don't. Sorry, but I wont be coming back. Sad face because its a]) nice clean place and they did so well for a while there. But I can't continue spending money here and being unhappy with the service more than half the time. I will look for a place that has a better "overall" staff to minimize my dissatisfaction. I am out to lunch and I needed a fill and pedicure done together. The owners are terrible! They don't take care of customers. As a customer we have the right to demand great customer service. But I had a dance to go to and I had five hours to get ready so I called to ask if they were accepting walk-ins and they were! I'm so sad because I didn't get her name, but she was so cute and told me stories and advice as to how to treat nails. This review is just based on my bad experience- I love coming to this place on my lunch break because its so convenient. I think I am gonna need a little break from supporting my local business. I have a wedding to go to so I made an appointment for gel manicure and pedicure instead of doing both my manicure and pedicure at the same time, they did one and then I'm waiting for another hour for my pedicure. I make an appointment for 12:30 for my manicure and pedicure, not 12:30 for one and 1:30 for the other. I understand you do not have people readily available to do both at the same time, but not one whole hour. And to make matters worse in the process of waiting they have taken 3 walk-in pedicures. Really?!? I know I need to get both done so since I'm already late back from my lunch break, I just decide to pay for both now and just come back tomorrow for my pedicure, since I did not want the extra credit card charge. When I get back, I realize that they charged me $49 dollars, instead of the $44 dollars for the mani-pedi deal. I figured it must have been an error so I will just ask when I go in for my pedicure tomorrow. I ask the owner/manager whatever guy and he said "Oh that's the right price, its only when you get them both done at the same time that you get the special discount price of $44 dollars." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!?! - I explained to him that I had an appointment, I was planning on getting both done at the same time, he was trying to act mindless, and said "Oh you were? - (like REALLY?!? - No dude - I wanted to waste my lunch break two days in a row) - and then try to follow up with we were busy"- Please do not try to treat me like I'm an idiot. So far, my favorite place ever to do my nails and pedi. First off, I go during the times they're not busy because I've seen how busy they get during evenings and weekends. I know who to ask for to get my nails done and they're amazing! For pedicure, not all of them do a great job, however, a bad apple shouldn't ruin my experience in general with them. I was super impressed with the service I received here. I came in during my lunch hour and asked for a pedicure. The young woman who serviced me went to work quickly and efficiently. She expertly cut away my cuticles and helped with my ingrown toenail. Most salons I've been to clip the upper portion and leave the lower portion to grow deeper.
