I would never give someone a whole five here in new bern at any salon because I'm didsapointed every time I go to any salon here but Anthony is the only person there who knows how to do nails and I've been there for atleast 4 times and every time I've had him and he gets comfortable with you and never charges you the same price and he always wants to make you get a full set every time you go which I don't like and he always wants to do what he wants on your nails. The times he's done my nails have been okay... I don't know what it is here in new bern but it sucks no one knows how to do nails here. I like coffin shape with a medium to long length and he always charges something different.. also got a nail infection and once I took off my nails my cuticles were attached to my nails.. my natural nails have been ruined from it. read more

I went there today and I got blue French tips,the lines are uneven but overall everyone is nice and the shapes are good but they do charge 5$ more for longer nails and 10$ for a design but I would recommend it to someone read more

I've been to this location a handful of times. Pedicures are ok. Gel manicures are decent. With that said, I highly recommend seeing Anthony - he does my gel nails amazingly. I do recommend calling ahead of time or making an appt if you want to see him because he is always requested. Do expect a bit of a wait here if you want something specific or just walk-in. All the workers are friendly but some are not well-versed in certain nail techniques, so you may be passed around from one person to begin a set and have someone else finish. I have also been nicked a few times which was disappointing. This is the reasoning behind the 4-star rating. read more

I was told that a full set for my daughter would cost one amount and then when they were all done I was given a different amount. I didn't want to make a scene as it was for a gift and I didn't want my daughter to be uncomfortable. I was frustrated by what I felt was a deliberate way to add cost. Literally so over this place. Stopped coming for a while because they always found a way to jack the price up on you unexpectedly & not tell you until you get to the counter. Anyways... come here tonight for just a basic fill in & cut down all while keeping my same COFFIN shape. Let's start by saying the place was completely empty but it took from 5:47 to 7:12 for a fill in & file down! Ridiculous! Not to mention I wanted a basic color.. the guy complained so much about how I needed gel that I got tired of it & eventually just gave in because he was annoying me. Then he tells me my fill in is 25 because something about my nail condition ... well they were fine just two weeks ago when I came here for the same services & paid 20. Then he tells me I'll only have to pay 5 for gel but at this point I'm annoyed so I'm like ok whatever. I get my receipt & it says $20 fill in & $10 gel.. ??????? Again I'm annoyed so whatever. To Ice the cake, half of my nails are square shaped & half are coffin.. not to mention they are terribly uneven!!! I didn't notice how uneven they were until I got home! I can't believe this I'm so pissed. I took pictures! I just wish I could upload them! Screw getting them fixed at no charge I want a complete refund. Are there any good places here in new bern???? Been here several times and never satisfied. I actually brought a picture of what I wanted exactly and once again couldn't be bothered to do exactly as I asked. I left irate, they barely speak English and when your trying to explain that your unhappy with their services they stand there smiling and giggling like you told a joke. So I decided to visit the nail salon because one of my friends recommended it to me. She hyped up the place making it sounds like it was legit .. But before i did i had to message them to see if they did Gel Nails (the STICKY kind not the acrylic kind). From my understanding in the messages they said yes and it would bbq $50+ depending what else i wanted done. So i was like okay cool then it is my kind of place. So i get in the chair with the young lady and she starts cleaning my nails. Then she started gluing the tips on my nails. She was struggling with one of the tips and she had the audacity to add acrylic to make the tip stick to my nail. I asked her as soon as she did that, why she do that if i asked for GEL NAILS!!! She then started to speak in another language and then the gentlemen next to her spoke for her and said "we ran out of liquid gel, acrylic is better" at this point i was mislead by the receptionist who answered my messages before i came in. The fact i wanted 45 minutes to get this job done to later not get what i wanted. I was upset and disappointed and let her finish with acrylic. I WASNT satisfied with my services at all. Let alone when she did do my nails i specifically asked her to cut them down shorter then the length she had it because i can't work with long nails and she reaasure me that she will do it when she fills my nail. But instead she rushed everything just to get me out of there. So i paid for the job and literally went home to cut my own nails and refill them to my liking .. so for my advice to this place is to communicate better with their employees just because i wasted my time and money. read more

the workers are very nice & make you feel comfortable. anthony and bryan are my personal favorites because anthony gets you looking right & bryan's a sweetheart who checks for any mistakes religiously. the only thing i could complain about is taking off the nails, they get another nail and use it as something to claw off nails when getting a new set, it hurts like hell, i personally prefer getting them soaked off. read more
