I met with Ms. Julie for my Prenatal Massage, and she was just as sweet and nice as all the other staff members. She made me feel so comfortable and asked me several times throughout my massage if I felt comfortable and if the pressure she was using was too much or not enough. The massage room was very clean, had dim relaxing lighting, and soothing music playing. The bathroom (which I had to use twice, due to baby squirming around lol) was modernly updated and extremely clean. My mother saw Ms. Natalie for her massage and had nothing but wonderful things to say when we met up again afterwards. Awesome place, awesome staff, will definitely be coming back again after baby is born! Thank you for such a relaxing, and tranquil experience. So so bad. so going into this appointment, a few weeks before my wedding, I was terrified. From the moment I met Ally, she completely put me at ease. She was so friendly, patient, and listened to every single concern and worry I had. I was very upfront that I'm on tretinoin and that I use a tanning bed, and Ally was incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful about it. She adjusted her approach, chose threading instead of waxing, and it completely changed the game for me. I usually break out after waxing my brows, and this time I had zero irritation whatsoever. My brows turned out exactly how I hoped. Beautiful, clean, and natural. I will absolutely be going back to Ally and highly, highly recommend her, just like so many of the other reviews do.

This salon is located in a nondescript strip mall. The salon is very clean and there's a small play area for both employee's and customer's children. They have a HUGE selection of gel and standard polishes, chrome and other nail finishes (but I'm basic, lol). The staff is super friendly. I called ahead but told to come anytime and I was able to walkin, though they did get busy while I was there. I like that they offer Sunday hours and (at least on Sundays) plenty of easy parking. My pedi & mani were done by the same person. I really liked the fact that they did the main and pedi separately, vs rushing the process with two techs working on you at the same time. Like the rest of the staff, my tech was really nice. My gel pedicure was great. But when it came to my fingernails, it seemed like the tech had no idea how to trim and file short nails. It was awkward and uncomfortable. The leg and hand massages were meh. And although there's signage asking customers to keep cell calls to a minimum so as to ensure a peaceful experience for others, one of the employees (sitting in one of the pedi chairs) was blaring a video on her phone. The price, before tipping, was $90 for two standard shellac main/pedi services. All-in-all, an okay experience but will try out a few other places before determining my permanent salon.

My stylist wasn't talkative and she would ask me questions for small chit chat but it would end when i answered the question. Blah. The results: I am either going to have to wear scarfs/hats or get a wig. She said she only cut a half and inch, but my hair has no style. I have never had such a bad haircut in my entire life. Linda of Eastern Electrolysis of New Bern NC is wonderful. She's the best permanent hair removal…read morespecialist I have ever been to. Not only is she very nice, punctual and reasonably priced, she's an extremely experienced electrologist with 20 years. And her location is one of the nicest I've ever been to for electrolysis, being discreet, impeccably clean and comfortable- not at the back of a busy hair salon! Electrolysis is much cheaper and permanent- unlike laser hair removal that doesn't work on light-colored hairs, darker skin, or hairs with very deep roots. Most people have to go to electrolysis after trying laser (but be warned- it takes months for all permanent hair removal to show results since there are multiple follicles). Women or men in New Bern, Havelock, MCAS Cherry Point, or anywhere in Eastern NC who need permanent hair removal should see Linda at Eastern Electrolysis; you won't be disappointed! Her hours were Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10am-5pm.
