Horrible wax job. Hair grew back within 3 days because she didn't pull it out. She just broke it off and then refused to admit that she did it wrong. She didn't even look at the direction of hair growth. I also left disappointed with my acrylics, but I went back later and Amber fixed them. Whenever you go, just ask for Amber. Absolutely deplorable place of bad business. I came in for a pedicure, and the lady who I called in and made the appointment with looked like she didn't want to do my nails when I walked in after HER saying it would be ok to still come in at 6 , which I called her let her know I'd be running a bit behind for my 5:45 appointment. Ok cool. They never even asked me what kind of pedi I wanted , or how much it would be. Whatever. As I'm getting ready to check out , my nail tech had charged me $40 for a fill in that I did not get , and a $70 pedicure. I immediately brought this to her attention, because WTF am I paying you $110 dollars for? She "claimed" it was a system error and changed it back to $70 before I slide my credit card in to pay. Lady , do you think I'm dumb? Like I don't know how to read? As I'm checking my bank account the next day , this lady had STILL charged my credit card for $116 ON TOP OF THE $70 for the pedicure. I absolutely will be reporting this business to the better business bureau, as well as disputing this fraudulent charge to my credit card. Horrible business practices. What a terrible experience. I now remember why I stopped going here. The man who did my nails cut me several times, filed so much he left a wound on my pinky finger. My gel mani pedi cost $75 without tip. I was happy with the way it looked but it began to fall apart in one week. My friend got a pink gel mani pedi that also fell apart in a week. In the past my gel lasted for up to three weeks. I went with four coworkers, and called twice to make a reservation. We still had to wait when we arrived. I wouldn't go back to q nails. I paid cash for a mani and a pedi..when my daughter tried to use certificate less that 6 months later she was told it had expired. Me and my fiancee came to get pedicures. We have been here a few times before for nails and toes but we stopped coming here to get our nails done because they could never do them correctly so we found a better nail artist but still chose to come here to get our pedicures. This last time in particular sealed it for me , I will not be back to Q's nails. We got the SPA pedicures. $45 dollars each. Plus gel polish...extra 10? Ok cool. 2 major issues were that my nail tech didn't bother to file the dead skin away from the bottom of my feet (which is what is normally done ) , and my big was literally aching when I got home from my nail tech digging into my big toe. Also , left a good amount of polish on the skin surrounding my nails. My fiancée , her nail tech was clueless ... how do we get the same exact pedicure but she didn't get some of the amenities added that I did? And , it wasn't in sequence with mine. I go to pay and they tell me they don't take credit cards on Sunday. Ummm why? Great thing I just came from my job and had cash on me because I normally don't. That's something that should be displayed or relayed thru the phone when i placed the appointment. That was a HUGE turn off. My bill was $120....like they added an extra 10 for their tip because 45x2 = 90 + gel polish for both =110. I stilled tipped $20 even though I know I shouldn't have. Whatever. Enjoy it. I have visited this nail salon 4-5 times, and each time I have been treated with courtesy and comfort throughout my visit. There are copious amounts of color choices and the salon is very clean. I typically arrive as a drop-in and I have never waited more than 10-15 minutes. Each nail specialist I've had over the course of my visits has treated me professionally - asking me if I'm comfortable, if I like my color, and polite conversation. In other salons, I've gotten nipped by the cuticle clipper, felt rushed, or was worried about the cleanliness of the facility. I have come to this salon for almost the past year now and every time I come back I am more disappointed. I get a manicure, gel-acrylic refill, every 2-3 weeks. My nails always chip or fall off before the next refill. The techs are also very rude sometimes, it's very frustrating. Sometimes they will accept card payments and other times they will harass you to go to sheetz to get cash in order to pay and will refuse your card payment. Other times they will entirely overcharge you. I got a refill and the basic pedicure which was $30 on the menu and was charged $50 for both ($100) and this didn't even include tip. It's really a hit or miss on how your nails will turn out, how you will be treated, or how you are expected to pay. read more

I have been to many salons, by far this one I would never go to again. It was hard to understand the manicurist as English is not clear. Was told to sit in a designated station, given a book to choose what I wanted done. I requested the basic pedicure with pink nails. She really didn't like that I was going basic. I could tell by her reaction in her eyes. I showed the color sample I liked and that I didn't want jel. Wasn't sure what the manicurist was saying with her response so again I repeated I just wanted basic manicure with showing her the same pink nail sample. She than proceeded to put a lot of weight in massaging my legs in and out of the tub to where it was excruciating and painful. I squirmed in pain but she continued to press hard into my legs and feet. Finally upon painting my toes apparently she didn't understand my English. She painted my toes burgundy plum!!! After the pain of my legs, her lack english and understanding that I requested the pink sample ... I decided overall it was best to just cut ties from this one time never again salon. This was a gift certificate visit. Normally I go to Lisa's Nails In Columbia. Which is where I will go back to next time. Will not recommend Q Nails. read more

Was told by a friend that this salon was the best place to go to. I saw this as an opportunity to find my forever nail salon that I could go to and rely on. Upon a series of unfortunate events I have found that this was not the case. When the man was tending to my hands he neglected to push my cuticules back or cut them shorter. He did however graze those unattended cuticles with the terrifying nail grinder. There was a lack of communication between me and my nail technician which resulted in a more poor experience. I have listed what I ask him to use for my reference picture. He told me he did not have stars which was an understandable disappointment. He did however also tell me he could do the same thing as the picture without the stars. I was excited to get them regardless of stars. I have also listed what the nails I received looked like. The nails overall are fine nails but they look a bit grown out already despite being 5 days new. They also are however a fraction of the essence of the original nails requested. There is a close up listed of left thumb, the nail is crooked slightly for the right compared to what my right thumb looks like. This is a minor detail in appearance but it more symbolically shows how much care they took to my hands. I am just a disappointed broke college gal who was finally treating herself to some luxury. I spent $90 total dollars for these nails and a pedicure which was just describable as fine. I'm just trying to voice my experience here and to let others know the honest journey you will go though when you give this place your business. read more

Today I had a basic pedicure with Amber. She greeted me at the door and gave me a heads up that their credit machine was not working so they could only accept cash, which was no problem. After I had chosen my color, she quickly seated me comfortably and began my pedicure. She was very considerate and gentle in working on my feet. She did a wonderful job massaging my legs, ending the massage with a hot towel, which felt incredible! She carefully painted my toenails, cleaning up any stray polish. The whole experience was very pleasant and relaxing, even though the salon was very busy. I will definitely have her do my next pedi. Thank you, Amber! read more

I was pleasantly surprised after attending this nail salon for the first time the other day. My friends have told me not to go here, but I went anyway and I am very satisfied! The only downside was I spent $105 on a pedicure and dip set, but it was very worth it. They took their time and this is my favorite set I've EVER had! I went there on February 27th for a fill in, and at first I was pleased, but after going back a second time, I will be sure to not return. I had picked out a color, with an accent color to go on one finger. However, when I saw the techs pretty flower on her nails, I asked her if she would be able to do a flower on one finger instead of a different color. She simply said "no, keep the two colors" which I thought was a bit odd, but I brushed it off. During my fill in, I told her I would be back in a few days for a pedicure. On March 5, less than a week after my fill in, I stopped in for a pedicure as promised. I had another technician, and she asked if I wanted my nails done, too. When I said that I got them done less than a week ago, she held my hand and looked at them with disgust and said "not here!" And when I assured her that it was here, she clearly didn't believe me. She was very lazy when it came to the massage during the pedicure, which was very disappointing. The next day, so exactly a week after my fill in, I notice that every single nail is lifting, to various degrees. I do not work a job that requires me to use my hands in such a way that acrylic nails are impractical. When I had a set on over a year ago, I would possibly have one nail slightly lift every 3 months or so. So to have every nail lifting a week is inexcusable, and a waste of my money, because now I have to get a fill in elsewhere much sooner than I should have. I also noticed that the lady doing my pedicure did not coat the entire toe nail with polish. She also trimmed my toenail way too short, and pulled out some skin, which not only hurt during the pedicure itself, but now, 3 or so days later, my toe is infected and wearing shoes and even walking is painful. I went there for the first time and got a gel manicure, gel has never had a problem staying on my nails. I can usual go 3 weeks and even then it never chips, just grows out. My nails chipped 3 days after getting them done at Q nails. Extremely disappointed in the service. I have trouble seeing my nails when they are painting them but after closer inspection when I got home, the gentleman that did my nails left some of the gel hanging over my nail onto my skin of my finger. Came in yesterday and had a pedicure, full set and eyebrow wax. My pedicure was good but then came to me for my full set. The man that did my nails must have been very new because he took forever and did not do a good job on my full set. I asked if he could do ombré or did powder because I did NOT want gel, he said no and I was just ready to go so I went with gel. I have been getting my nails done for 15 years, I am from Atlanta and here visiting my mother and this had to be the worst nail job I have ever gotten. One of the nails cracked on the side because it was the wrong size nail he put on my finger and just slapped some glue on there and kept it moving. After my nails I got my eyebrow waxed from a guy. Now I'm not saying men can't do it but he was not personable and left wax on my face. The wax was too hot, scorching hot. Did not blow on the wax before placing it on my face. He had long nails and his nails kept scratching me in the face. I had to clean up the dried up wax on my face myself when he was done. Not a happy customer at all.
