This is one of the best places to get a pedicure in the city! My brother and I got spa pedicures and they take their time to give you a very enjoyable foot/ calf massage and also did a great job with my nails and colour! Love this place and will be back! read more

I got a new set for my birthday showed a picture of said set- they didnt have the color i wanted so i settled for a different brown then when all was said and done i was charged way more than i expected - i paid 80 bucks plus tip for this new set when the other q nails i go to only charge 65 for a new set. This set is the streakiest worst set ive ever seen, very sad. Would not recommend. If i knew it was gonna cost me so much more for lesser quality i would not have got them done here. read more

Requested to get acrylic nails that were white in an almond shape. They are so pointy and every nail on each hand is a different length

I was there recently with my daughter. He was a little aggressive and saw some blood on the towel. Was busy chatting and didn't think about it. We left. And hour later I realized I left my wallet there. My daughter called and they said it wasn't there. It was a very unique purple wallet. Hard to miss. I was positive it was there and went back to check the parking lot. My purple wallet was right beside the tap machine. No mine said anything when I took it. Happy to have to back. Soon after I got repeated messages from MasterCard that someone was using it at shops near this salon! I checked my wallet and it was missing I dealt with MasterCard and called the salon. They said the card was still there. I said I didn't use that card to pay for the pedicures. Very very very suspicious. They said I was welcome to look at the video cameras. I declined. And to top things off, my big toe is infected. Never ever ever will return. Would not recommend. read more

Q Nails - Infected nail bed - Nail Salons Near Me - Edmonton, Alberta

This is the worst salon I've ever been to. I went in for a new set of acrylic. The gentleman who was taking them off had filed them down so low my nails were burning hot. He split one of my nails and caused it to bleed (and then continued to use the tools on that nail). He began to glue the new set on, OVER TOP of the originals he couldn't take off. I told him I was leaving, and to just take off the 3 nails he glued on. The woman working (who seemed to be in charge) asked when I would come back to get them done. I didn't answer. I went to leave and she demanded I pay 20$. For what? You to burn my nails, not even remove them, and then make them bleed? I tapped my card and went to leave and she kept yelling "You wait. It's not gone through". The people there are rude and honestly horrible at working with customers. So I went down the road to diva nails, and then fixed my nails, did a new set and only charged me 20$. I would NOT recommend this place. read more

Amazing service here!!!! Very attentive and kind people. My last set of nails at another salon were a bit disappointing and a couple nails had broke really bad. The ladies at this salon were very gentle on the sore nails and did exactly what I asked. They look beautiful! 10 out of 10! Thanks you guys so much for the great experience! read more

Q Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Edmonton, Alberta

Let me preface this review by stating how much I hate negative reviews and that also I have had fantastic service (at the Leduc location in particular) of this chain and that is why I decided to give this location a go. It was a frigid Saturday afternoon and a girlfriend wanted to get a mani so in her vehicle we hopped and down to this location of Q's Nails we went because we were cold and it was very near to us. We walked in and they were able to start our manicures immediately, but considering how cold it was there weren't many people out so that wasn't much of a surprise. We both had old Shellac to remove and wanted a new set added. They sat us next to one another and had us soak our fingers in remover without speaking to us. Then they used the dremel on my friend and then asked us to switch seats so they could use it on me which is very strange. What kind of salon doesn't have enough tools so that there is one at every station? My friend's mani was done in less than 20 minutes and looked like it had been done that quickly. It was not pristine or professional looking at all and they didn't offer any hot towels or for her to wash her hands or anything. She was offered some hand lotion after they were completed by pulling the pump out of the bottle and having her run her hands down the stem of it to take the lotion off of there. It was just really unprofessional. My manicure on the other hand took well over an hour, and we had exactly the same service. This wasn't because I was being taken care of any better, my tech just seemed to have a very difficult time removing all of my old polish. When it came time to pick my colours I went with one... then changed my mind and picked a different colour. She was still working on removing my polish so I didn't think that this was a big deal. My friend's tech asked me which colour I wanted and double checked with me by confirming the colour number and shade. Then later on she checked again that I wanted that same shade. When my polish was finally removed my tech confirmed my colour and number again (the third or fourth time by that point) and when she returned with the bottle and opened it I told her that was the wrong shade. She informed me that this is the colour number that I had told her even though it didn't match the shade that I had told her that I wanted. I asked if I could please have the colour that I had asked for already and then I apologized for saying the wrong number but I was thinking to myself how was this so hard, especially since it had been confirmed with me so many times. When my mani was almost done (and it looked worse than my friend's, my nails were all crooked--especially my thumb--and polish on my cuticles) another of the techs curled up on one of the pedicure chairs next to us, tucked her feet under her and proceeded to chat on her cell phone on what appeared to be a personal phone call. As I'm not her boss I shouldn't judge but it was just so unprofessional. She was barefoot, not even wearing shoes. It just made the place feel really cheap. After my polish cured we just wanted to get out of there. I stood up and was told, "You can wash your hands if you want." I did and then was given enough hand lotion to lube up a small army, the opposite of what my friend received. We walked to the till and got asked, "Are you paying with debit?" Not a thank you, no words of appreciation for coming in, not a comment on how we liked our services, no niceties at all. I will say that at only $30 for a Shellac mani the price is right but the service and final product were so shoddy that it wasn't even worth it. I will not be back. There are hundreds of nail salons in this city that provide fantastic work and great service, this is not one of them. read more

I've been here a few times for a pedicure and I have to say it's hit and miss. Sometimes it's great and sometimes my gel polish is peeling off within a few days. The reason I am writing this review is because they totally destroyed my nails. I've had manicures with gel polish many times and I always ask them to soak the old polish off so it doesn't damage my nails. This place refused to soak off the old polish and instead soaked my hands in cold water and peeled off the old polish with tweezers. My nails are totally ruined, they are peeling and thin. They hurt when you press on them and the white part of my nails is no longer straight across my nail, it is jagged and mishapen(see photo). This photo was taken 3 weeks after they pulled the polish off! I should have just left after they refused to soak off the old polish but I was leaving on vacation the next day and did not have time to go elsewhere. I will not be going back again. read more

Q Nails - My ruined nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Edmonton, Alberta

One of the worst pedicures I've ever received. I told the lady I was allergic to the mint products they use and that they causes a burning sensation on my legs. Used them anyways I told her to remove it then she continued with the pedicure in cold water. The UV light they use to cure the polish to the mail was broken and she was hitting it to make it work. Then touched my nails to see if they were dry they weren't and completely ruined my pedicure she removed the nail polish with a bounty sheet then when over my nails again. Highly recommend going to a different nail salon. read more

For starters the image on this map is incorrect- this salon is located in the hamptons. I have been going here for a year and had never had a bad visit. They are very friendly i have seen them clean and disinfect their products and have always been accomodating. Snow the nail girl there is amazing. My nails last 4 weeks with no issues. Her and b are the ones to see. read more

I have been here a couple times. I am new to Edmonton and they are very close to my house so it seemed like a good fit. My pedicures have always been good but my most recent fill was not great. My nails were not filed evenly, even after I pointed it out several times during my service. The nail polish looks very sloppy around my cuticles and was put on WAY too thick. It looks, lumpy and uneven. I asked for a simple heart design on my ring fingers and after several attempts by the nail tech, the hearts looked like a 2 year old did it. I ended up asking the tech to just remove it all together. Also after she filed my nails she did not ask me to rinse my hands nor did she clean off the nails dust and just pained my nails with it all over my hands causing the polish to look bubbly and lumpy, she also cut me on 4 of my fingers around the cuticle. I am so disappointed and will not be back. If anyone has a good nail salon suggestion in or near the West End, please share! read more

I used to go to Q-Nails on Calgary Trail, and it was, like most locations, a hit or a miss. I went there because it was more often a hit than a miss. I chose this location because it is closer to home. The first time I went, I wanted to have my shellac removed and then applied with a new colour. The technician didn't talk to me at all, and did a very sloppy job on my bails, getting nail polish on my cuticles and tops of my fingers. I usually get new shellac every ten days or so (my nails grow quickly), and my polish started chipping at about day 7. I wasn't impressed, but I went back a few days ago in hopes that whoever was working on my nails was just having a bad day that day. The second time, they removed my shellac with the grinder, and went far enough down that my nails started burning and feeling sore. The rest of it was even worse. The shellac wasn't applied to cover my whole nails (frankly I'd prefer painted cuticles than this) and the filing was done *after* my shellac was finished, resulting in no shellac being on the top part of my nails at all, right out of the salon. My shellac chipped on three nails after two days. I removed my shellac on my own, and I won't be going back. read more

I really wanted to like this place since it is extremely close to my house, they do have a wide selection of colours for shellac but when she did them she overheated my nails and there were tons of uneven parts left over. The colour looks great but I'm quite disappointed with the quality. read more

I decided to try this place due to positive reviews on another website. Unfortunately I won't be returning. The nail tech did a really bad job on my gel nails. They are thick, some of them are unevenly angled at the end, my skin was glued to a few of the nails even though my nails were not super short, and one of my cuticles bled. read more

I had gel nails done at this salon. Of course, while they were working on my nails the price went up by $10. One nail popped off the next day and 2 more popped off a few days later. I returned to have the first one repaired but wasn't available to have to rest repaired. The one that was repaired stayed on very well but the rest were off within a week. What a waste of money! read more

This place is so close to my workplace. I wanted to get my nails done in short time before weekend so i choose to go there. My tech were good, they asked me how was my day, any plans for weekend. they suggest me the shade which suit me when i asked. Friendly staff. I don't know why people review so bad in first visit or right away they find negative things so quickly. Try to find out positive stuff my friends. Everything has two sides, even a coin has head and tail come on u can't get only good side all time from everything. They are not too expensive. I had good experience. I recommend them. read more

I had a gel white tips applied (for my sisters wedding) and my daughter had paint on toes and nails. Getting them done was ok. Nothing special they were very quick. Not very customer friendly. When I came to get them (mine) removed I asked if they had solution to dip them in the man at the front desk told me yes wait about 10 mins or so. I waited my turn the lady was working on another woman in a chair next to me and asked to see my nails and before I could look up she had nail clippers breaking away at the tips. When I pulled away she ask me "you don't like?" I of course said no and looked at the man like WTF. He talks to her in their language. I wanted to walk out. How rude to speak in your language when you damn well know I don't speak that language. Then she says "i be gentle" This was not a gentle service. it hurt like hell! and it cost me $20! NOT WORTH THE PAIN and my nails are still messed up. The things you do for your sisters wedding read more
