I am so glad I came here on a whim. I am just blown away. I've always felt afraid getting my hair cut, because my hair and face shape are very particular and I've been done dirty by other stylists in the past. When I arrived they were very busy (new years eve's eve; everyone wants a cut rn) but i and another girl were offered waters and macarons. We also received a complimentary Olaplex service for the wait. I nearly fell asleep during that service lol it was very relaxing and then my hair felt amazingly soft afterwards. Paula was incredibly caring. She took the time to really understand what I want and paused to ask me questions throughout. "Speak from the heart," is what she'd tell me to really make sure I was happy. She maintained my length, understanding how precious it was to me, but somehow gave my thinner Asian hair more volume with the U-shape cut technique. The layers and face framing pieces were soft and cohesive, blending into my hair naturally when unstyled. She did this intentionally because I mentioned I don't really have time to style my hair. But if I decide I do want to style my hair, the layers are there to play around with. I also struggle with flat hair, and she managed to give me volume around the head (unstyled!) with her cutting technique. I came in on Halloween last minute because my hair was looking dead and in need of a refresh. I just wanted a quick trim to hopefully bring some life back to it. Definitely more expensive than other salons I have been to in the past for hair color, but Paula does a high quality job! I called in early in the week, Paula let me know her rates for color treatment, and I was able to make an appointment for Friday noon. I had not died my hair for 3 years and my previous ombré had already been mostly trimmed off, so I came in with long and (basically) virgin hair. I wanted a medium-length, straight across hair style. I also wanted a lower-maintenance hair color balayage that could be done in one session. Paula suggested an ashy blonde color and it took about 5-6 hours for the Olaplex dye treatment and hair cut. Paula is very kind and conversational. The salon also has very comfortable massage chairs at the hair washing station and WiFi (I was even able to take a Zoom call for work), so the time passed quickly. It's been about a month since I had my hair done, and the color is still looking so fresh and my hair feels soft (I've been keeping up with Olaplex shampoo & conditioner).
