Stumbled across Fancy Cuts in the middle of the day and decided to give them a call. After briefly talking over the phone with an employee, I was able to get a same day appointment for a women's cut with Van. The employee + Van was really kind. My hair was in need of a long overdue trim due to breakage and split ends from being blonde. I got seated immediately upon arrival by Van. I had a dry haircut since I had just washed my hair and it took about 15-20 minutes. I'm very happy with what I requested versus what I got in the end. Thank you Van! I'll definitely be returning for my future trims.
I took my 2 year old for a fade & asked the lady to not cut anything from the top. She didn't do a gradual fade like I asked & she told me she was going to trim the top even tho I asked her not to. I don't think I'll return. Although he's only 2, my son sits still for haircuts, so that can't be a "reason" for it.
Got highlights, gray blending, and a cut by Van. She did a nice job and is reasonably priced. I would definitely come back when it's time for a touchup or trim.
After 2 hair washes, my hair color has changed completely. It has turned more of a brassy chocolate brown shade, which is completely off and different from the ash grey I had asked for. It's a shame that the color quality is not good at all, but that's not the worst part. The price definitely did not reflect the work. I was looking for a new place to cut my hair locally and found the spot. I showed them a photo of what I wanted along with how much I wanted cut etc and Mee / Dung delivered. The we're getting a lot of phone calls for appointments so they are definitely busy and popular. Vibe was chill. I called ahead of time (morning of) and came in at 12:15. The haircut took 40min total (I came with my hair washed already). Very affordable compared to other spots ($25 for me)
I was a bit nervous entering the salon because it's my first time getting my hair dyed in America, but when I tell you that this salon exceeded my expectations! The process was the usual 2-3 hours, but the products the stylist used was not damaging to my hair! She did exactly what I asked for and I left the salon feeling confident and happy. The vibe was super welcoming in the salon, I felt really comfortable! I Recommend

I have been going to Van for years now. I absolutely love her service! She's so easy to schedule with.. Sometimes last minute even! She always delivers on exactly the color that I want and the way she styles my hair at the end is my most favorite! I always leave there feeling beautiful and confident! I've sent many friends to her. Her prices are very competitive and fair! I have never had a negative experience in all the years I've been going (about 6/7 years now)! I highly recommend you pay her a visit if you want a beautiful color, cut or hairstyle!!
Shoutout to Yelp for allowing me to find this place! Women's haircuts can become quite pricey depending on where you go, so I was grateful to find this place, where women's haircuts start at $20. I think because I got my bangs cut, it was an additional $5. Still such a steal! I called ahead of time to book an appointment for Friday morning but they do take walk-ins. I got my haircut by Lucy. She was friendly and sweet. My hair was long and the same length, so I asked for layers and also showed her a photo of someone else's haircut that was done here. I also asked for face framing bangs. I'm pleased with how it came out. I didn't notice until I got home that the left side was a little longer than the right side (looking from behind), but not a big deal, since it's not noticeable from the front. I would go back!
I love Van so much. She blesses my hair every single time! I started coming here fall 2019 under recommendation from a friend and I have consistently been referring her to others since. She truly takes care of me, making sure the water is ok and I'm comfortable, being gentle with brushing my hair, and even telling me to take a nap when I doze off! I always reach out to make an appointment, even if it's just for a purple shampoo. My hair is moderately healthy for being bleached many times with Van knowing exactly how to process my hair. She even recommends products to use to help maintain it as well and I always go with what she recommends. I always get a million compliments on my hair and I'm nothing but proud to share her skills with others!
9/17/24 It was very quick and easy to call and make an appointment for highlight service. Binny did my highlights and they turned out beautiful! i picked out a chocolatey brown and gold highlights because i want to be able to grow out my hair without a significant color change from my natural black hair and blond outgrowth. Binny was very nice and welcoming, her service was great! The other place that i went to would charge me $350+ for highlights and take over 6 hours because i had such long and thick hair but Fancy Cuts has such affordable and reasonable pricing!! Book with Binny! I came in at 10 and we were done by 1:40pm! I will keep coming back for touch ups
I have been getting my haircut by the same woman for 10+ years. She is unfortunately on a long vacation and I was in desperate need for a haircut. My hair was extremely dry, I had a lot of split ends and the blonde that I have been growing out for months was really brassy. I was ready for a cut. I went on Yelp and found fancy cuts and after reading the reviews I decided to give it a try and I am so happy I did! Lucy did an amazing job with my hair. After showing her a few pics of how I wanted my hair she got to work. She straightened my hair first and then cut it. My haircut was pretty quick and the price was great as well. If you see a little bit of blonde in my picture that is because I didn't want my hair to be super short. Lucy was very attentive and listened to my requests. I'm so happy I found a new place to get my hair cut :)
Let me start off by saying that I was a bit hesitant to having to find a salon that will do my hair. I get it cut once every couple of years so it's hard to stick with one person. After searching all salons in my area I wanted to find someone with a high score and good reviews. I found Fancy Cuts on Hesperian. I walked in, did not make an appointment and Lucy took me right away. I explained what I wanted and showed an old picture of myself. I'm not picky but I was tired of my long hair. I explained I wanted it all chopped off with an A-line and color with a section of bleach. She did such an amazing job! After cutting down a section she checked with me on the length and baby I wanted shorter and that is just what she did. Amazing! I flippin love it! I will definitely be back and hopefully sooner than in a couple years. I mean it, if I could give 10 stars I would! It was the best haircut and color I have gotten in a while! Thank you Lucy and thank you Van for accommodating me when I needed to charge my phone. Y'all are epic!

Just did a quick google search closes to me and we found this lovely place. Took us right away and did a great job. The shop is nice, clean and has many chairs. Service is friendly and attentive as soon as we walked in greeted and they took us right away. Overall a nice friendly place that I wouldn't mind coming back to. read more

I just had a baby and was going through postpartum hair loss so I spontaneously decided to go get a mommy cut. Went on Yelp and found the closest hair salon to me. I called for an appointment and they were able to get me in the next morning. Came in and James attended to me. I showed him the haircut I wanted to go for. He started cutting A LOT of my hair which I was so nervous about. Throughout the whole process, James didn't say much but he understood the assignment because the end result was amazing. I LOVE MY NEW HAIR CUT! Thank you so much James. Don't sleep on this place y'all. It's a hidden gem. And you'll love the prices even more.I sent two of my sisters here already and they both got great haircuts from James. read more

* I need attention * If I can give Van 10 stars, I'll totally give it to her. She's the best of the best. Before, I was addicted to change my hair color all the time, and I finally decided to let my hair get healthy again with black hair. Honestly, black hair isn't my style, which made me look so old. I asked Van if she had any recommendation for me with different hair color but I didn't want to do Silver color again just because I wanna do something different this time. Guess what!! She did my hair to brow color, and I can't even believe it. I look so so so much better than before lol. I meant I look so much younger and of course my hair is pretty much healthier as well. Van never disappoints! Been going to her for a few years! When I'm unable to book her (she's popular and I travel a lot for work) I would go somewhere else and get disappointed. Recently I went to Chicago and got my hair done there. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! I flew back to get my hair done from Van since my birthday was coming up too and my fam is in the Bay Area. She never disappoints and always fixes my hair (twice now) whenever I get it done somewhere else. I told her I'm only going to see her now, only. I called the salon and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Van was very honest and told me she was unsure about how light she could get my hair in one visit. James helped Van with the process and they were both very nice. My hair looks different in different lighting but I am so happy with the end result!! read more
Van is awesome! I showed her picture of what I wanted and the end result is great! Van is so friendly! They have a tv to keep you occupied. My hair appointment took me 4 hours but it was expected! Love this place! Van is super sweet!!! I came in with grown out blonde hair... I was tired of dead hair at that point! I told her I wanted to grow it out but I had an awkward and ugly line of blonde where my roots grew out, as if an earthquake split the earth. So I wanted to chop most of it off (it was grown out to my lower back) and fix the color so it blends better. She did super good and my visit was pretty short!! Maybe an hour? The price is pretty sweet as well! I'll definitely be back! Thank you so much, Van! ---------- UPDATE: Got my hair redone today! I was gonna grow it out to my normal natural black hair.... but missed the blonde so much. I always show Van pictures and tell her exactly what I like and dislike and she always gets it right! Van gave me my favorite pandemic haircut a while ago and yesterday, she helped me ring in my 30th birthday with a mushroom brown balayage. Highly recommend her as she's very skilled, gentle, and communicated throughout the process. After the first toning, it was more gray than I wanted and she was happy to re-tone it to a more ashey brown (Pictures don't do it justice). Pricing is pretty cheap for great quality work. read more
