We had been talking about trying pzza& for quite a while after hearing so many good things about it, and it definitely lived up to the hype. My boyfriend and I went on a Friday night and loved our meal. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Sandwich, which came with a thin chicken cutlet, and Caesar salad on a homemade roll. It was delicious, and the portion was large enough that I could only eat half. My boyfriend ordered the house burger, which we had heard was excellent, and he was very happy with it. The real star of the meal, though, was the pizza. We ordered the BBQ chicken pizza, which came topped with chicken cutlet pieces tossed in barbecue sauce. It was absolutely delicious. I'm usually not a huge BBQ chicken pizza fan, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it. My boyfriend is still talking about the pizza days later! I also got a side of their ranch, which paired perfectly with the pizza. The only downside is that it's a smaller restaurant with limited indoor seating, but we got lucky and a spot opened up just before our food arrived. They also had some interesting monthly specials that looked worth trying. We'll definitely be back and are already looking forward to our next visit. read more

We went to the Hamburger House Party today and it was a nice event, if not a little too hot. It didn't throw off our plan to hopefully try every burger. We didn't make it to every single booth but we did have a clear winner and it was a surprise to all of us. Pzza. The event was a ways south in Broward, so i found it interesting that a downtown Boca spot known for very good pizza would be at this burger fest. I liked the first couple burgers and as I told my friends, the first ones have an advantage as it's when we are at our hungriest. We tried Pzza about 5th. So by this point we closer to full than hungry. We had already tried a couple versions of a smash burger too so it didn't seem likely that this one. Would stand out. But it did. Came to Pzza on a whim as we were in the area for shopping. It's located in a little strip plaza, with pretty limited parking. But if you know Mizner, you know to expect it. When we got to the door, the door was open, and it wasn't even nice outside. My pet peeve is when restaurants leave their doors open, it was also warm and muggy on the inside, not sure if they're AC was broken or what. We didn't plan to eat it to go, so we just ate there. It definitely is more of a takeout spot. They have outdoor seating, but kids were taking up those tables, so we ate at the bar that they have. You order from a tablet on the wall which I honestly prefer than having to speak to an actual person. We ordered the chicken caesar sandwich, the 12" vodka pie, and a side of truffle fries along with 2 cans of soda. The chicken caesar sandwich was the perfect balance of crunchy, tender, and saucy. The fried chicken cutlet was cooked beautifully, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and paired perfectly with the cool caesar dressing. I do wish this sandwich had a bit more flavor though. I think the Caesar fell a bit flat for me. It also seems like you can double up on the meat for the sandwiches, too, when you order. The vodka pizza crust had that ideal mix of light chew and crispness, and the vodka sauce was rich, creamy, and full of flavor without being heavy. The truffle parm fries, while crispy, did not offer much truffle or parm at all. They were pretty bland, but still a really good french fry, just not a good truffle fry, and you're paying extra for the truffle and parm. Overall, our meal was a little over $42. I would say the prices are pretty on par for most pizza places these days which is absolutely insane, considering pizza should be pretty cheap. The vodka pie is on the lower price end of their pizzas considering the fact that it doesn't have meat. So if you are getting meat on your pizza, expect to pay more. It was an okay experience, I would go back to try other things, but unless it's a cool night out, which does not come regularly in florida, I'd absolutely get everything to go, however I'm not 100% sure how it would hold up during a drive. After hearing some buzz about the place, I had to stop by and check it out. I liked both the Burger and the Pizza but upped my score to a 5 because I like the people here. Jules took my order and Jimmy made my pie. They are both awesome... taking the time to explain everything and answer my questions with a fantastic attitude. This store is small, and very laid back. First had a Single House Style SmashBurger w/ American Wagyu smashed into the griddle for a crispy outside, w/ White American, Red Onion, Japanese Mayo... had great flavor, liked the preparation. Then ordered a Pepperoni and Onion Pizza. Top quality ingredients and always appreciate Ezzo Pepperoni. Jimmy cooked it perfectly. Really yummy pizza. Extremely crispy, almost no flop when you hold it. Smash burger was also very good. I didn't love the mozzarella sticks, they were a bit overdone, but my mom still really liked them so I guess it was a matter of taste, and the cheese inside was really stretchy and nice. If you hate when pizzerias make a pepperoni pie with pepperoni spaced out as an afterthought rather than it being a focal point in placement, then belly up to the counter. The pie was pretty damn good, with a regular bake (as opppsed to well done or charred) the crust was firm and without a flop. The chopped cheese sandwich was equally good...a good bit pricier than NYC bodegas, but it's Wagyu. If you're in the area you should stop by and try it out. Ordered take out of a standard 12" pie. Pie arrived cold, and was non-descript as far as taste goes. The food wasn't terrible, but also not that great. Very little oregano on the pie so you New York pie fans might want to look elsewhere. The menu is more complicated than the taste permits so I would encourage you to go to, or order from a simpler place that has a bigger focus on traditional pizza. read more

I noticed that a new pizza parlor (do they still call them that?) was opening in East Boca, in the strip center at the south end of the entrance to Mizner Park. It's on NE 2nd Street, near the downtown Post Office . There's plenty of free parking in the lot. When you walk in, past the 10 new shiny tables and funky heavy plastic chairs on their patio, it's clean and fresh and simple inside. Two counters, one facing the pizza prep are and one facing the lot. You can actually sit and watch the pizza being prepared. DOC is the pizza maker, and she's as talented as she is attractive. I've posted her photo, either a big smile, preparing a pizza for the ocean. All their pies are one size - 12 inches - which was more than enough for two of us to enjoy. And we sure did enjoy it! It's thin crusted, baked well done with char on the bottom. And when you but I to it, you could hear and experience in your mouth deep loud crunching. It was really a different and thoroughly pleasing experience. Most of the other pizzas served locally are soggy and limp, falling fab apart as you eat it. Not PZZA! It was crunch. Crunch. Crunch. The sauce was delicious. The pepperoni was tasty, not too spicy and not bland. It comes from a specialty purveyor out west and I sure would like to get some to have at home! There are several different pies , including one with lumps of fresh mozzarella and basil drizzle as well as fresh basil (Margarita) and another which is loaded with veggies for those vegetarian loving folk. I've listed a pic of the menu. They also make fresh salads, and I plan to try one the next time. They have a selection of soft drinks and flat and gassy waters. I had a Pellegrino which was icy cold and real bubbly. Sometimes the sparkling waters are sort of flat, but not here. I also tried their fried Oreos. And all I can say was that I did not know what to expect and was blown away. Make sure you order some and finish off your meal with a few. You won't be disappointed. I checked out the one bathroom, which was uni-sex and it was IMMACULATE. It had art on the walls, not a spec of dirt on the floor, and mellow lighting. And a very sexy mirror - you'll see what I mean. If you "gotta go", you'll feel comfortable doing so here. I also met Josh, who I learned was the owner. I was surprised, as he was quite young. He was upbeat, engaging in conversation while not being intrusive. He answered all of my questions about the pizza. He seemed to be eager to make this HIS PZZA place, friendly, pleasing and comfortable. He's the sole owner and I give him credit to put his money on the line in a very competitive area, either lots of franchised big box pizza joints all offerings the same gkobby mess. I wish him the best, and hope that my fellow Yelpers check this place out. It's different and you'll agree once you hear the crunchiness in your mouth. I'll be back and try the mozzarella pie and also the salad. And those fried Oreos. Oh, they have free WiFi which was very fast and a frequent PZZA eaters club. $10 credit after spending $100. On another (yes, unsolicited business advice) note, I find their branding to be crass and off putting. Also, based on the signage I had a hard time identifying their name so I could look them up to find them again.
