Not bad at all for airport food! Clean area... handle ordering well... not too long for food overall pretty good experience in Terminal 2 for Southwest!

Not much restaurant pick'ns in Terminal 1. I did see someone with the Nachos, so I was all-in. Ordered mine w/pork and Guacamole. Less than 5 minutes and I was into it! With black beans, jalapeños, sour cream, and shredded pork, I catered it with a fork. Delicious for airport cuisine! $22 with a soda.

"Non-existent Service." Waiting for a flight, we wanted to get a drink and a snack. The menu looked good, and the prices were okay for airport prices. After waiting in line for a while we finally gave up. There appears to be insufficient staff. Plenty of tables, just no no one there to serve you.

With a few hours to kill before flying back home, there was no better place to be and cap off a fun-filled NorCal weekend. We started off with a party of 3, one I advised to grab a table while I get in line for brews and grub. The line moved so slowly - and it made sense: they were understaffed. I saw three people, but I'm sure there couldn't be more than 4 (including kitchen staff.) One took orders AND got drinks. Another got drinks AND got food AND emptied out the quickly-filled trash bins. One I just saw coming in and out of the kitchen and possibly one more person making all the food. Boy, I feel bad for them. They were truly hustlin'. Anyway! They had my forever favorite bottle of Apricot Ale. (It would have been better off tap, but I'll take it!) I also put in an order for the nachos + guac+pork. I was told the nachos might take 15 minutes (which was fine.) We sipped and chugged through our drinks and got immersed in conversations when they finally called my name for the nachos. I guess there was a misunderstanding because they called my name to pay for the nachos and that it'd be out in a couple more minutes. No worries, not like I was in some big rush. And the wait was worth it. The pulled pork was the center of the nachos with everything else serving as sidekicks - nachos included. They were also generous in the amount of guac that went with it. We all enjoyed it! FOOD: 5. Based on the nachos alone. SERVICE: 5. They deserve it. Not once did they stop movin' around. VALUE: 4. A bit pricey, but kinda expected given it's the airport. PARKING: N/A. It's in Terminal 1 inside Oakland Airport. OVERALL: 4.5. The rest of my party left much earlier than I did so I found myself flying solo for another hour or so. I got another brew as I watched MNF. On the almost-last drop, I accidentally nudged the nachos box which pushed my beer bottle and broke at the fall. One of the staff members quickly came out with a broom and dustpan assuring me it's no big deal, "It happens all the time." and happily swept all my mess away. Man, she sure is grateful for her job. I would have liked another drink, but the line just got too long. I also didn't like the idea of losing my seat because the place got packed, so, eh... Here's hoping they hire one, maybe two more peeps to join this current crew. It'll just make for better and quicker service - most especially for passengers trying to catch their flights. Here's hoping... Good first run. I would stop by again given the chance.

Just awful. It was unfortunate that we had a layover on Christmas Day, so we didn't have a lot of options for food. The menu looked very limited, and it felt like we ordered almost everything: nachos, tacos, a burrito, and chips & salsa. In hindsight, I would have rather we passed on this place and just have not eaten that day. The food was gross. The pork was mushy and had so much excess water that it soaked through the tortilla and dripped out of the tacos. The guacamole was the processed kind that is flavorless and looks like it came out of a tube, and the salsa had absolutely no taste at all. Everything tasted like it was just scoop and serve, and like it had been sitting in warmers all day. I'm sure it's a great spot to pull up a chair and have a drink while you wait for your flight, but I would say take a hard pass on the food.

Sadly disappointed. This is like 7-11 nachos.
    Maggie R.

If their was a negative scoring system, yup. Sadly disappointed with their nachos. So gross the guacamole is frozen store bought, not fresh as advertised. The chips were stale as fuck! I honestly don't even think the bit of shredding string on the nachos was chicken. I just hope I dnt get sick on my flight home. Clearly just a place to drink. Let me get my drink to kill any bad bacteria from The nachos.

Bar. Must wait to order and pick up. Self service

Located in the middle of very busy and noisy Oakland Airport gates 24 and 25 serving mainly for the people flying Southwest Airline to and from Santa Ana, Ling Beach, Hawaii and Santa Barbara. The airport prices are reflected and bartender barks the guests first name like a prison guards yelling the names of incarcerated prisoners in Shawshank Redemption, probably one of the best movies based on Stephen King's novel also loosely borrowed from the Count of Monte Cristo. The microbrew beer such as Never Ending Summer and Pink Flamingo are all pretty decent if only the obnoxious bartender barking at you and his lone barmaid repeat your name at the top of their lungs just throws your mood for greasy breakfast wrap smothered in bacon fat served on a paper that you have to carry to the tiny table with two hard chairs. The constant noise from Southwest announcement and Oakland Airport public announcement such as "Smoking is not allowed in the Airport " etc etc is just too much.

Sad, sad $14 nachos. That little bit of "guacamole" was $3.50 extra (grand total was $17.50. Also pictured is a $12 10-once Blue Moon.

It seems that during Covid, Pyramid Brewing went out of business. In the Southwest terminal of OAK (Oakland International Airport ) is a remnant where it was once sold along with food. This "beer stand" under a false flag now only serves Blue Moon, Stella, Modella and Coors light. We opted for the nachos ($13.99) + the $3.49 "guacamole". The 10 once beers were $11.99 each. We were drawn into the place by the false (Pyramid) signage and our hunger. Awful & disappointing. Grand Total, before tip (two beers and the 'nachos'): $47.99 This food and beer counter under the guise of a company that no longer exists is merely there to charge you immeasurably for foods (and beer) that require no cooking skills, nor fresh ingredients, slapped together (badly) for maximum profit. Having now read other reviews, I am glad we didn't have the pork added to the nachos. Be warned. For us? Never again! SHAME on whomever is running this mistake of a place.

I go here to grab a breakfast burrito. You can sit down and eat here or just take it to go. Quick service.

I hoped this place would be worth 3 stars, but turns out the other reviews are right and it's more of a 2. As my husband put it, this would be a "soft 3" if I did give it a 3. It's tough to be better than a 2 or 3 in an airport. This place is advertised as a taproom but I couldn't find a beer menu anywhere. You order at the counter and we just went with something easy that we know, two Modelos. They have mostly Mexican food options, I got chicken nachos and my husband got a pork burrito. Don't get me wrong, I'm actually a fan of the artificial concession stand style nacho cheese (seriously, I do like it). It just felt like my nachos were covered in too much of this cheese and it didn't mix great with the other toppings. My husband's burrito wasn't served with salsa, chips, or anything on the side. Prices were expensive for average to below average food. Our meal was $70 for two entrees, two beers, and tip. Food came out quickly which was a plus. However, there really wasn't any service since you just order at the counter and do the rest yourself. Not too impressed, but also not too surprised about this type of restaurant in an airport setting.

Soggy, sorry excuse for a chicken taco..
    Daniel R.

There's a reason nobody claims this business.. it is the worst. $13 beer - $16 chicken taco that are more soggy chicken juice than anything else..

    Veggie breakfast tacos
    Rabiha A.

Came in early morning for a flight and decided to try some veggie breakfast tacos. I needed a quick meal, so they fulfilled their purpose, but were mediocre overall. The tacos consisted of some scrambled eggs, very little black beans and some potatoes. Also the veggies are nothing to rave about, some pickled jalapeños and onions. Overall, don't expect anything gourmet.

Breakfast menu sticky and old with white out over items they do not offer anymore

Update: It's still no change from my last review less than a month ago. I don't know why I out of pocket myself and thought maybe it would be different Well actually I do know why I did that. I saw that there was a different bar tender and I thought MAYBE things would be better from the last time WELL NOPE So I sat at the bar. Ordered a margarita. I was told that margaritas come with double shots UGHHH OKKK lady last month didn't mention that So I went ahead and ordered the double shot margarita. Then he tells me he is all out of limes and he cannot make a margarita. Surprise surprise. I'm looking at the breakfast menu. See a breakfast tacos. Before I even try and order he says there is no cheese available and no pico de Gallo available Soooo what is the fricken point ???? Mind you it's 830am. How you gonna be out of that already??? Other customers were making comments also sooo it wasnt just me. Gonna brush this off and keep it pushing

Ask the Community - Pyramid Ale Taproom

Can I fill a growler here? And furthermore, is it located within the security area, allowing me to bring said filled growler on my flight?

They don't fill growlers as far as I know. The pints are expensive and a growler fill could potentially cost $40 or so. It is inside the security area. Sucks this is the only Pyramid location now in California.

We came here on a Sunday and the seats were all filled. We put our names on the waiting list, and were seated within 15 minutes. The menu is brunchy with French influence. The food was very good. However, we made the mistake of ordering the beignets to be served at the end of the meal. They didn't put our beignet order in until after they cleared our plates, and it took about 30-45 minutes after our meal before our beignets came out. So if you want beignets, just order them the same time as your meal because they take awhile to make. What we ordered: + Sweet cream pancakes - these were cute in mickey mouse shape with a few strawberries. + Crab cake benedicts - very good + Salmon Lox Sandwich - very good, but would have liked the cucumbers to be sliced thinner. They were quite a bit thicker than the salmon and was a little clumsy to eat, but I'm just being picky. + La Campagne Omelette - lots of veggies and very cheesy + Beignets - long wait and was not bad. They were light with large air bubbles. Not the best we've had, but not bad. Overall, a cute spot for a brunch if you don't mind tent seating.

French toast was very good, soft and melts in your mouth feeling and the fruits were very fresh. Service was fine but wasn't excellent. The kids ordered kids drinks and gave us regular sized drinks and charged full prices. Did not think on behalf of the client so we didn't feel taken care of. The entrees were kind of small for the price and waitress didn't ask if we wanted anything else before handing us our check. I also had a headache so I didn't bother and just paid the bill. Less than ideal experience but would not hesitate to try again.
