The District is part of the Oakland Airport approach of rebranding, upgrading and improved innovation. Under renovation for several months in Terminal 2, between Gates 24 and 25, this restaurant has a lively vibe with music, flatscreens, full bar and food menu that includes sandwiches, salads and shareable. The staff were great, very helpful. I enjoyed the food, cocktail, service and ambience.

OAK stepped up with a fantastic airport restaurant and lounge. Excellent service and decent food makes this store is a reliable experience.

I stopped at The Cub lounge at the SJC, near Gate A8 around 1:30pm on a Friday. I was on my way to…read moreSouthern CA and at that time of day, the lounge was not very busy. The lounge is easy to find and check in was a breeze. The space is large - you walk into a seating area and to the right is the bar and food. There are multiple areas to sit and even a quiet area set back from the rest. We found a seat and I ordered a sparkling Rose. Each table has a bar code that you an scan and order your drinks, they have a large menu to select from but you can only order one drink at a time. The drink arrived promplty and after settling in, we went to check out the food. The menu is not extensive, they had a salad bar, chips and dip, bar snacks, a soup and some fried rice. Not extensive but that is a relief sometimes because too many choices can be overwhelming. The onion dip was fabulous as were the bar snacks. The soup was nice and warm and mixing in some of the rice made for a very filling meal. They also have flavored water and fruit, packed and ready to go. The wine are mostly from CA but they had a couple of French wines, I also tried a chardonnay that hit the spot! There was one woman who sat right in the center of the seating area and proceeded to gossip and complain about work and her co-workers as loudly as if she was in her living room. It was long conversation and even though she was loud enough to be heard outside, no one came by to tell her to take it somewhere else. I took one star off for that - the employees should ensure that it is a welcoming place for all travelers not just the self centered ones. The best part of the visit was the dessert, they had a fluffy layered cake, covered with mousse, jam and topped with whipped cream - so good! This lounge also seems less crowded than the The Club in another part of SJC. You can buys a day pass or you can visit this place with Priority Pass. Overall a great experience and I would go back again.

I was in there early AM and there are three hot entrees (egg bites, dollar pancakes and hot oatmeal) not a great spread but enough to power you up for the flight. There was a wait list with an expected wait time of 30 mins but I got a call within 15 mins that a spot had opened up and was ready for me. The lounge itself is on the floor above and there are steps and elevator leading to it. The place is large, there are restrooms, light therapy rooms, private rooms, private nooks, several dining tables, couple of drink stations, a full fledged bar with seating in front of it, about three stations for food etc. Food options had a couple of soups, bread station, fermented veggie section, a couple of mains covering both vegetarian and non vegetarian options, salads, desserts and some hummus and pita bread for appetizers. This was no cruise ship style spread and the options were fairly limited but plenty satisfactory. They had some barley for carb option which was uncooked but other than that everything was decent. There were several waiters cleaning up after people pretty promptly and the place was maintained well. There was a huge table smack dab in the center with books and I was disappointed to find that they were all props. Overall I managed to relax and grab some food to eat before my red eye flight. I look forward to coming back when I use this airport again in the future.

Not sure why people over judge and under appreciate if it's provided as a compliment. First thing to know is this place gets busy and I've always had to wait. If the wait is too I sadly head over to one of the priority pass lounges. Ayez and Dutta are amazing at the bar if you like to socialize and have fun. Food is much better than most other lounges and they have a wider beer, bourbon and whiskey options. Salmon was moist, prawns not shrimps in the pasta and the desserts were fresh/ Big shout out to the hard working staff and Constantino for a well oiled operation.

On Friday afternoon of what for many is an important holiday weekend (Easter), the Centurion Lounge was limiting access and using an online waiting list. I hold the Platinum Card® (primary cardholder). I had to wait about 20 minutes to enter. I checked in to the queue by scanning a QR code at the door (there are different codes for each type of cardmember, so if the sign with the codes is up, be sure to scan the right one). After you scan, you'll be taken to an online form to fill out. You'll get an email or text to confirm you're on the waitlist, and another with a QR code when it's your turn to enter. Once you get your code, go to the reception desk and show your QR code and boarding pass. If it's busy, you'll be asked to choose a table or seat appropriate to your party size (i.e., if you're alone, don't take a table for four). It is a nice space, with a variety of seating. After the wait, I didn't have a lot of time to explore before I needed to be at my gate, so I went right for the food. Food quality was good, but not stellar. I was able to get some nice chicken and a vegetable. Had to try something sweet, so I got a chocolate-dipped coconut macaroon. THAT was really good. Staff were all friendly and helpful. They were staffed well enough that tables were getting cleaned promptly as soon as people left. They do have a bar, but given time pressure, I didn't get anything. I don't fly out of SFO all that often, so I don't know when I'll get an opportunity to give the Centurion Lounge another chance. But I do hope that once Terminal 3 is renovated and they're back in their regular location, I might have a better experience.

Will start charging for check in bags ($35), unless you open a Southwest credit card. Delays; on this trip, we experienced over a 4 hour delay!!!! Meets all our domestic needs. When we travel internationally, we typically fly in and out of SFO. We do not use the parking, or even the restaurants/bars here any more due to the time of the day we now fly. And because I have cut back significantly on coffee, I can not say I frequent the coffee shops here either. Service - Self service for the most part.
