The District is part of the Oakland Airport approach of rebranding, upgrading and improved innovation. Under renovation for several months in Terminal 2, between Gates 24 and 25, this restaurant has a lively vibe with music, flatscreens, full bar and food menu that includes sandwiches, salads and shareable. The staff were great, very helpful. I enjoyed the food, cocktail, service and ambience.

OAK stepped up with a fantastic airport restaurant and lounge. Excellent service and decent food makes this store is a reliable experience.

I was at the airport super early in the morning and craving breakfast before my flight. I walked to the district which was right next to my gate which made it very convenient so I would know that I would not miss my flight. We sat down immediately, and our server was very friendly and handed us menus. We asked him what was good on the menu. He responded that everything that he ate quite frankly was delicious at the district. That sounded hopeful. I have to eat clean when I travel otherwise my stomach gets queasy for the entire time that I'm in a different time zone so I had the Greek yogurt with everything on the side and it was so delicious. Everything was so fresh and the yogurt was nice and thick the way I love it. My coworkers breakfast was exactly what he likes with a lot of protein. You're very happy with the service and how clean the restaurant was the next time. I'm at the Oakland airport for breakfast, this will be my go to restaurant.

Perfectly good airport food. Had a decent chicken Caesar and watched Japan score an equalizer.

You get what you pay for. Its small air port and short walk to gate 8, you are there. There are plenty of signs pointing to the airport lounge. Very unprofessional receptionist aka manager aka DIY person scanned our pass, boarding pass and we were in. I didn't expect much but one of the employee said welcome. Place was small but kept well. Had a full bar at the end. Food option was limited but was better than other areas. Thank you for being there!

This Escape Lounge is definitely one to enter and... escape after grabbing a bite / drink. Like with any lounge, there is Wi-Fi, a snack area, and a bar. Most of the foods here are carb forward and on the saltier end. There are a couple of good items on the DIY charcuterie for snacking with wine. They are very vegetarian friendly, as the only meat options at the hot bar were pork. The pasta salad and salads in general were good. For alcohol, I had a Pinot and Prosecco, and both were dry. I'm not too sure of the brand, but it wasn't remarkable. Finally, this lounge is TINY, and there is no built-in restroom or showers. There is a restroom directly across the hall, but the front desk staff member was very intimidating and unwelcoming to talk to that I was too afraid to ask. Thankfully, she eventually took a short snack break, and one of the nice bar staff subbed in. I eventually worked up the courage to ask if I may use the restroom.

The lounge is easy to find and check in was a breeze. The space is large - you walk into a seating area and to the right is the bar and food. There are multiple areas to sit and even a quiet area set back from the rest. We found a seat and I ordered a sparkling Rose. Each table has a bar code that you an scan and order your drinks, they have a large menu to select from but you can only order one drink at a time. The drink arrived promplty and after settling in, we went to check out the food. The menu is not extensive, they had a salad bar, chips and dip, bar snacks, a soup and some fried rice. Not extensive but that is a relief sometimes because too many choices can be overwhelming. The onion dip was fabulous as were the bar snacks. The soup was nice and warm and mixing in some of the rice made for a very filling meal. They also have flavored water and fruit, packed and ready to go. The wine are mostly from CA but they had a couple of French wines, I also tried a chardonnay that hit the spot! There was one woman who sat right in the center of the seating area and proceeded to gossip and complain about work and her co-workers as loudly as if she was in her living room. It was long conversation and even though she was loud enough to be heard outside, no one came by to tell her to take it somewhere else. I took one star off for that - the employees should ensure that it is a welcoming place for all travelers not just the self centered ones. The best part of the visit was the dessert, they had a fluffy layered cake, covered with mousse, jam and topped with whipped cream - so good! This lounge also seems less crowded than the The Club in another part of SJC. You can buys a day pass or you can visit this place with Priority Pass. Overall a great experience and I would go back again.

The food is good and pretty varied - I had some Thai coconut soup, chicken thighs, mashed potatoes, and pancakes from the fun pancake machine. Halfway through my visit, they brought out some gildas & spanakopita. They're also stocked with treats like Ghirardelli chocolates, cookies, and more along with snacks. They have a freestyle Coca Cola machine but when I was there they were out of any diet options. I opted for an unsweetened iced tea. The bar area is beautiful and signature cocktails, house wines, and beer are included. There is an up charge for "premium" spirits, wine and beer. Overall this was a great lounge experience - plenty of seating, easy entry, good food, and good drink options. Well worth the $15 up charge for Priority Pass and I'd definitely return.

Walking off a plane at that hour, you are not looking for much, just somewhere quiet to land. The Alaska Lounge was right across from our gate. First time in, and the staff made it feel like they were glad we showed up. Friendly, genuine, no airport-zombie energy. The space is impressive. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the tarmac and the hillside, plenty of natural light, and seating for every mood: work tables, soft chairs, window loungers, even a private booth if you need to take a call. I planted myself at a window seat and didn't move. The bar is well-stocked. What stood out was having an actual barista on-site. Oat milk latte and a bowl of steel cut oatmeal, exactly what I needed at that hour. One honest note: the food selection was thin and several items needed restocking when we came through. The staff were apologetic and moved quickly, which matters. But the variety just wasn't there. Solid lounge. Good people. Great space. The food program has room to grow into what the rest of the experience already delivers.

When I walked up to the buffet-style breakfast, there were no plates--only bowls. That made it a lot harder to grab what I actually wanted. I eventually found a seat and tried to eat, but it was so crowded that there weren't any seats with tables available. I ended up finding another spot with a ledge, so that worked. The eggs were good, but there was no cream cheese for the bagels. After toasting one and realizing there wasn't any cream cheese, I had to eat it dry. I'd suggest adding that to the spread--no pun intended. I tried the strawberry-infused water, and it wasn't very good, but the orange juice was pretty good. They also had a robot moving around, though I'm not sure what its purpose was. There were people collecting trash and plates, which helped keep everything clean. Overall, I think I would go back if I had the chance.

Coming into the lounge, it's almost hard to find as there's construction that is obscuring the entrance. When you walk in, the hallway is nice but does look like it needs some renovations. Upon approaching the customer service, I had my boarding pass ready to show and when one of the ladies at the desk scanned the boarding pass it didn't work, so she immediately thought that "I had got a seat change not a United Club lounge pass." I knew that was wrong and had to pull up the receipt to show her and instead of apologizing she instead instructed me to go to the other woman who was there who was able to scan my boarding pass just fine and I was allowed in. Inside of the United Club I'd say it definitely could be better, the seats are packed and it's not very welcoming, the eating buffet area is tight for access and I'm not sure how long the food has been sitting out or not monitored. To me, this United Club is just better common seating than the regular seating in the airport itself. The only thing I did like that the food staff seems to take care in grabbing people's drinks and that they do clean the floors somewhat often.
