Loved the new Avengers Campus, we weren't hungry after having corn dogs but had to give PYM test Kitchen a try. The not so little chicken sandwich is more similar to schnitzel with a thin patty of chicken breaded with Panko breadcrumbs and deep fried. I would've liked more Coleslaw and with all the breading, it's a good thing the bun is the size of a small slider. Came with a handful of tatter tots that were standard tots. Best thing was the Choco Smash which was deeelicious! Similar to a Snickers bar but oh so much better! This place isn't too bad for breakfast! I ordered the Cinna-Pym Mini Toast from the kids menu, my husband got the Calculated Breakfast = E x 2 + (B+P)/T, and we both got a Beer Mimosa. The mini toast was soft and not too sweet, only a little of syrup was needed to enhance it. The calculated breakfast was pretty well rounded with carbs and protein. The beer mimosas were delicious and came in a cool Pym souvenir beaker! This is my second time eating here and I would definitely come back. read more

This is a review on the breakfast items at Pyms. My go to spot for a no hassle breakfast at Disneyland is Red Rose Tavern. When I realized I made a DCA reservations instead, I was on the hunt for breakfast at DCA! I quickly learned there were not as many options as compared to Disneyland. My go to choice for breakfast at DCA is the breakfast schwarma, but I've been hearing things in regards to Pyms french toast... So off to the science lab! The french toast came with the smallest sunny side up eggs, most likely a quail egg. Not much taste, but provided nice presentation alongside with the mini fork. The giant french toast was a bit on the dryer side, but the shot glass maplr syrup remedied that. The nano eggs-periment 101 was a kids meal my girlfriend wanted, as she generally does not eat much in the morning. Typical basic breakfast, nothing extraordinary, passable. This is the main restaurant in the Avengers Campus. The concept is that the food is either really BIG or small. Nice place and cool concept- thus it is called a test kitchen. We ordered the pym-ini sandwich, giant pretzel, and the caesar salad & colossal crouton. The line is always long and ordering is a bit backed up that is why it is good to have mobile ordering as to save time. Overall, good concept and the vibe is cool! read more

I've found my new favorite restaurant within California Adventure !! This was my first trip there since Avengers land opened and i was so excited cause I heard there was an ant-man inspired restaurant and bar and being a fan of Ant-man, it was somewhere I absolutely had to go and I was impressed with the theming aspects of the restaurant, the overall cleanliness as well as the food! Workers were dressed in lab coats and watching them prepare food and drink items was entertaining cause it was like we were in an actual laboratory! Me and my cousins ordered several items to share here and it was definitely one of the best meals we had. This is just so fitting for the area, a place with quirky fun food options! One of my cousins ate and really enjoyed the pymini sandwich which had salami and veggies with a side of marinara. I shared the not so little chicken sandwich with my other cousin and we loved it and had a good laugh at the tiny baby bun. The elote pretzel the three of us split... we're Latina and love our elote... this was a pretzel topped with sliced radishes, peppers, cilantro and corn 3 ways: regular corn kernels, creamed corn and even popcorn which was interesting and kind of comical too but it paired nicely with all the other flavors. I had the Butter Pecan cold brew which was nice and cold, not too sweet and had the pecans on top which was a great touch. It's a seasonal cold brew so it won't always be around but if it were there next time I go I'd get it again. I'll be back here every Disney trip from now on and next time I'm going to try the candy bar and a drink from the bar which I had planned to get this trip but I had too many chocolate chip Cookies from Jack Jack's cookie num nums before we went to avengers land so I skipped the chocolate bar this time but I've seen the pictures of it on here and it looks delicious and like it would be bite sized only if you're the hulk lol As far as the alcoholic drinks go, they're like $20 each which I didn't really feel like spending on a drink this time around but I think next trip I'll splurge more and just get one cause they do look and sound good, especially the honey buzz one!! Ordered breakfast here and it was solid. Got the Cinna-Pym Toast and it was very filling. It was really cool how it came with some mini-eggs to show off the Ant-man tech. Also when you walk in there's a pretzel machine in front above where you order and pretzels go in and come out either shrunk or giant and it's really funny and an awesome tribute to Ant man and Marvel land. Ginormous taco was horrible. Chipotle chicken was cold, lettuce was so distasteful. The taco shell was good but all the ingredients were so bad I have to give it a thumbs down. The huge pretzel is ok. Nothing to wow about. Soft and lightly salted, the cheese dip is tiny I guess the pym lab didn't think about enlarging the damn sauce. But the mustard is I guess unlimited. The decorations are so fun. They have posters on wall that make it look like you're in the Ant Man world and marvel cinematic universe AND it seems they've figured out how to make small pretzels into giant pretzels! You see it zapped right in front of your eyes! Plenty of food and drink options. I've been here for breakfast and lunch and have loved all of it. Very cute! Love Antman and the Wasp so this was a must try. Was not disappointed. My husband ordered this giant meatball and pasta dish it was delish. Fun little spot with some clever ideas on food. The Frenchtoast was big enough for two, and it actually had pretty good flavor. However, it was really soggy and thin. The vegetarian option was just right. The bread was dried out, but it still had a good flavor. The sausage and eggs had great flavor, but the whole dish was really only big enough for 1. The specialty coffee was fantastic for 2-3 sips, but then it was way too sweet. I recommend getting a second coffee and blending the two. I had heard a lot of hype about this restaurant since it's opening, specially the chicken sandwich which I was very excited to try. It was pretty disappointing. Very hard outside, not a lot of sauce with very little flavor. Didn't expect the buns to be hard as a rock. The amount of potato barrels you get with it is just sad. The Choco-Smash Bar however, amazing. The creamiest peanut butter you've ever had in your life. Nicely textured caramel, I hate runny Carmel so it was a nice surprise. Also had nouget, peanuts, and brownie. Definitely get to share cause it's a lot. The Proton Punch was good, Im not a fan of sweet lemonade so it was really nice. Tart cherry flavor with a fun presentation. Unfortunately the boba does end up at the bottom pretty quickly, so you don't really eat to enjoy it until you finish the drink. My friend got the same thing and she didn't like it due to the tartness, but loved the boba. It wasn't hard to find a seat near the restaurant, however they are very squished in there. Especially hard to navigate if you have a stroller. Being around showtimes can make it a lot harder as they didn't plan standing room vs. Walkways very well. Ok.... Let's clarify something first.... This is a theme park.... If you are expecting Michelin level cuisine....ummm go elsewhere, BUT if you are hungry and you need something to nosh on to fill your belly that's decent.... Then this is the place! With covid, you have to wait in a long line to place orders OR place your order through the Disneyland app after choosing a pick up time so plan out your meal accordingly. Once your arrival time comes up, you'll need to go-to the restaurant and say that you've arrived. At that point they will start to cook your food... Once the bar on your Disneyland app is at 3 bars, your food is ready! The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars cuz the seating area was teeny tiny... There were so many people just lounging and tons of people walking around looking for seating to eat their food. It was a little nuts. The food came out hot! The hubby and I both got the Chicken sandwich. It was good! The chicken was crunchy BUT it was a little dry... So I totally recommend getting the extra slaw in the sandwich as the slaw totally took the chicken sandwich to another level! It was yummy and I would totally get it again. It came with tater tots... I got the Pym ini sandwich and the choco smash candy bar. The sandwich was good but I won't get it again that's just me and the choco smash was good it is huge definitely a share item with like three people it tasted like a snickers bar with a hint of peanut butter and brownie I would get it to share again. Obviously it's overpriced because it's Disney, BUT it's pretty good! We got the "not so little Chicken Sandwich" which cracked us up because of how tiny the bun was in comparison to the chicken. With so many options in California Adventure/Disneyland, Pym Test Kitchen is one to avoid. Pym has a fairly limited selection of entrées, all of which sounded pretty good, but the delivery was simply not enough. I had the Pym-ini Sandwich, which had salami, salame rosa, pistachio nuts, rosemary ham,and sun dried tomato spread on toasted focaccia with a marinara dipping sauce. On the side, you get a pitiful amount of arugula salad with the slightest of sneeze of dressing on it. First things first, this serving size is probably the worst out of any Disneyland/C.A. restaurant. The sandwich itself is pretty good, has an almost saucy pizza-like flavor to it. However, I was extremely disappointed with how I basically was only given the equivalent of half of a sandwich. For about $15, I would expect to get more than one half of a sandwich and a couple leaves of arugula. I wasn't just disappointed with my meal, I was actively angered by it. The rest of my group had slightly better experiences. One person had the Quantum Pretzel, and oversized (453.8 gram) Bavarian-style pretzel with cheese sauce. I had a decent amount of this, since they were so generous to share after seeing how small my meal was (truly living up to the Ant-Man theme). The pretzel was pretty stodgy, lacking any sort of fluff, salt, or butter. Drenching it in the lifeless cheese sauce did not do much to improve it. The other two in my group had the Not So Little Chicken Sandwich-- which, by all means, probably had the best bang for your buck (at least when it comes to serving size). While I did not get to try it for myself, they described the chicken as a "brick". They would bite down on the chicken and their jaw would be locked for a good few seconds more than you should expect for a chicken sandwich. But hey, they at least got a plentiful portion of tater tots on the side that made me weep more tears than dressing on my arugula salad. Take my word for it. If you're inside the park and don't feel like leaving to find better and more affordable food, you can count on some overpriced somewhat decent food. This Pym Test Kitchen was no different. The food wasn't bad, but it also wasn't that good especially with that amusement park price. I ordered their Pym-nini sandwich using the Disneyland Park mobile app. Always use the app instead of waiting in that line! You check-in on the app when you arrive, they'll make your food, then notify you to come inside to a specific line when it's ready. After getting your food from the counter, you head to your left to pick up napkins and utensils. The dining area outside was pretty packed when I was there for dinner at around 7:30 pm. We were so excited to come here we got the chicken sandwich to share. The chicken cutlet was thin. My bf like it when the chicken is thin so he loved it. The coleslaw was a great add. I always try to think on the bright side when it comes to food served at venues with admission fees, but it never turns out well. I would say that this restaurant is probably one of the worst offenders for low quality and overpriced foods that attendees are forced to choose since you can't bring in outside food to the park. Starting with the family sized Pym-Ini, I could have made this for around $15-$20 tops. Guess how much it was... ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS! It was not only outrageously expensive, but it wasn't even that much food! It was around the size of three paninis and is advertised to feed a family! Maybe if your family is two adults and a single child, but still it was barely anything for the ludicrous price tag. Besides the price, the sandwich tasted like it was made of sandwich meat and cheese you could buy at a grocery store! So you really end up paying $100 for three full servings of grocery store meat and cheese! What a steal! Now, let's talk about the subatomic pretzel and chicken sandwich. The pretzel was probably the worst I've ever had as it was entirely soft and devoid of any crisp. It tasted like plain bread with a very vinegary Buffalo sauce and discount store toppings. The sandwich was slightly better as the chicken had a nice crisp, but other than that it had no flavor. Also, while the sandwich looks funny and cool to eat, it is highly impractical. It is was hard to eat the sandwich with the tiny amount of bread they gave and just made a mess. Honestly, if you come looking for some good food you'll be disappointed by Pym's.
