Throughout this entire year, we have been so thrilled with them. From the get-go, Kyle (our onsite coordinator) and Justin (a manager) helped us with the process. Kyle was phenomenal!!!- unfortunately, he is leaving for a new job. But both of them were amazing and SO helpful. We chose the Uni Club because of its vintage vibe, the price (the rental includes a year membership and was WAY cheaper than any of the places I was looking at in Madison & Milwaukee) and their flexibility. This was especially important for me, as I can be a bit of a snob about food and drinks. And they blew me away with this-- I had requested that they bring in oysters for me and my husband to share, along with a couple of other special food requests. They also let me select the wine I wanted to feature (because I didn't want Canyon Ridge or some other generic wine like that)- we ended up going with their wines they had in house because they were all amazing! They were so good about communicating with us and working to make the day exactly how we wanted it. They set up all of our decorations for us, Kyle stuck around the whole night to ensure everything went really well and everyone was raving about how wonderful the spot was that we chose. The patty had a bitter taste from being slightly burnt and was overwhelmed flavor-wise by the potent sun-dried tomatoes. While my server was fantastic, the pace of the meal moved along at a crawl, probably due to a large banquet being hosted that day. While I enjoyed the novelty of visiting the venue, the food will keep me from making repeated visits.

I actually got to sit down and eat and it was easily some of the best food I have had in my life. The staff were very attentive, making sure me and my husband were well taken care of. They would bring us waters when we were looking dehydrated. My guests told me that the staff was amazing and helpful at every turn. The staff knew what they were doing, were very organized and very polite to all of my guests, they wanted to ensure that everyone was having an amazing time. The venue, also amazing. We had about 155 guests that fit in one half of the hall space perfectly. We were able to set everything up the day before the wedding so we weren't stressed on our wedding day. Chad was very responsive to anything we were needing including tables, linens and made sure everything looked beautiful the day of. We booked out wedding at The Heights about 8 months out from our wedding day. The first 7 months or so it was a bit challenging to get ahold of the Chad but the month before the wedding he would answer every call and email right away! Overall I would highly recommend The Heights to anyone looking for a venue. If you like an amazing staff, food and venue this is the place for you! I did the Monona Terrace tour in the middle of a 3 day Frank Lloyd Wright themed trip to Wisconsin…read more While the tour was interesting it was a bit underwhelming compared to my tours of Taliesin, Unitarian Meeting House and SC Johnson administration building and Research Tower. The tour is reasonably priced, although I did end up paying $6 for parking at Monoma Terrace. Check-in for the tour is in the gift shop which is nicely set up with a nice selection of Frank Lloyd Wright items, Madison items and some other items. I ended up as the only one on my tour so I got a very nice one on one experience. My tour guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and personable. I did get a nice tour through the various parts of the Community and Convention Center; they were setting up for a number of college graduations. The center has a wide variety of rooms and areas, including a great plaza and garden on the roof. The center takes advantage of its lake front location and in true Wright fashion it brings the outside into the building in interesting and effective ways. Monona Terrace went through a number of designs and intended purposes during Frank Lloyd Wright's lifetime, unfortunately it was not built until well after his death so while the outside follows closely to Wright's designs the interior was revised by members of the Taliesin Fellowship, the result is a very nice building and one that seems to work very well, but it seems to be missing a bit of the Frank Lloyd Wright magic and wow factor. There are a couple of places where there is a bit of that sparkle, but as a Frank Lloyd Wright tour it falls a bit short for me. If you are a Frank Lloyd Wright completist or have some extra time Monona Terrace is worth a visit, but if you are planning a trip for the Frank Llyod Wright Wisconsin trail and need to prioritize other site might be worth considering.

I love that you can see them prepare each of the dishes on the screens by the kitchen. excellent service as well, staff did a great job at taking away dirty plates/glasses and replacing accordingly. I also thought each round was spaced out well so that I was never waiting for too long or had too little time to eat. There was a blindfold round where we had to rely on just taste & touch to figure out what we were eating which was both silly and fun (we found out what we were eating at the end and got some more as a gift to go). my personal fav of the meal was the sun meadow chilean sea bass!!! the sun meadow oil is a perfect dupe of butter and melted straight into that sea bass, paired with crunchy capers on a bed of creamy whipped goodness. All of the sauces were done extraordinarily well, especially that under the braised leeks!!! the tuna tartare was my bf's fav - crunchy toppings with fresh tuna on avocado in a spicy, asian inspired sauce. we were less impressed by the raviolo and steak entrees but still good (the chili oil on the raviolo kinda threw me off). the intermission was nice as a brief break to shop around and purchase things at a discount. overall, pricy meal but definitely a whole experience (3 hours long that is!). would highly recommend trying this out if you also enjoy fine dining experiences. The fact that the ceremony AND the reception were in the same building was really neat. The turnaround from "chapel" to "dance floor" was fast, too! They allow you to bring your own food and alcohol which is rare among venues in our area and they have a ton of amenities, including an AV system, table cloth rental, an outdoor fire pit, and a ton of beautiful outdoor spaces for photographs. They were also much more affordable than every other venue we looked at in our area.
