This is a members-only club that has rental rooms, a bar, and a restaurant for its members. I visited this past weekend for my mother-in-law's birthday dinner as my brother-in-law is a member. Unless you have paid for parking through the club you'll have to find street parking or park in one of the nearby ramps, which is a little annoying. The ambience once inside, though, is really fun with numerous different decorations throughout each of the areas and rooms. And the service is great. The bar and restaurant are on the third floor. We started in the bar area and ordered just-okay cheese curds and a few drinks prior to dinner. Most of the family ordered the special old fashioned on the menu. Interestingly enough, there was not a consistent taste between them. I wonder if there were multiple bartenders or if they ran out of ingredients. Either way, the one that was different was not good. I ordered a wine and it was just fine. Once seated for dinner, we were given a dinner menu with both regular and rotating food options, and a few specials were verbally delivered. Unfortunately nobody was really blown away by their food. The baked cod fish fry was so dry my partner and I couldn't eat it, but at least the crab bisque and the baked potato were good. The fried cod had too much breading, and the person who ordered the medium rare steak frites was disappointed to receive steak that was actually medium. The nduja toast that came with the octopus item was the saving grace for what we ordered as it was delicious, although we couldn't find the octopus in our dish. The lemon creme brulee is amazing and even though the beignets are actually just cinnamon sugar donuts, the kids loved them. There are so many better restaurants in Madison that I'm not sure we need to visit for dinner again. The membership may be worth it for people who want to rent out some of the various rooms or maybe some of the other menu items are better, but we certainly do not see a need to join. It was fun to be able to experience the different areas and I can see why people may be interested in visiting. Especially when you can sit on the outdoor patio overlooking the capitol building, which we did not do in the cold weather.

The Madison Club's new dining room, with a new look, a new feel, and a new name, Clementine.

I've had a lot of fun at their special dining events. Great food. I've attended a wedding here, which was very nicely done.

My daughter was married at the Madison Club and also had her reception and dance there. The staff was excellent.

The space is two cars, with one set up as a full-time bar, and the other a mixed space that was a dance club on the night we visited. The bar car was super cute and quaint, but also tight and cramped, especially with a crowd. The car is set up with a single person bar towards the back, and lounge seating along one side leaving small space for folks to walk and wait for the bar. The other car had the bar up front and the dance floor and seating in the back. This car had a cover, so we just did cocktails and lounged a bit in the bar car. The single bartender, while he was friendly and made a good cocktail, created a backlog of folks waiting for drinks. We waited 10 minutes in a single file line for our cocktails. I went with the espresso martini, and my pal got an old fashioned. Both tasty, but the glassware was wayyyyy too small. The line never cleared, so we did one and done unfortunately. The concept is great, but execution is lacking. I know there is limited space, but the current layout and function is not the greatest, especially on the cocktail car side of things. Overall, it was cool to experience and now we can say we have done it.

This bar has excellent cocktails and friendly staff, featuring the kind of classy drinks I love but rarely indulge in (sidecars, manhattans, palomas, and more). Some nights they even feature a DJ! The prices are fair and the drinks are adequately strong!

My first time at The Sylvee and definitely not my last. Such a cool, modern, spacious, event space…read more I got to see Maren Morris and it was incredible! The layout is great. You walk in and you have a huge bar area on the left to grab a drink, then you can walk down a few steps and it's a huge area right in front of the stage. We got standing only tickets so that's where we stood. It was awesome because you could get so close to the stage. They do have a second floor with an additional bar and paid seating that looked really nice. The sound was great, everything was clean, air conditioned, the bar staff were efficient, and the prices weren't insane. There were a lot of people there but you still had your own standing space, it wasn't a packed sardines situation at all. Even leaving was easy, it wasn't a stampede. Overall an awesome somewhat more intimate experience for a concert. They do have a parking garage for $15. We went to dinner on Willy Street before and had street parking there so we didn't need to move our car. Only a few block walk, super convenient! I can't wait to see another concert at The Sylvee!

It's actually ridiculous what they charge for soda water. Due to my medically necessary diet I can't have soda and club soda is something that feels like a treat when we are out and everyone else is drinking soda and alcohol poo poo on the sylvee for lack of dietary accommodations that cost less than pennies.
