Such a good restaurant! It has a smaller menu but various options for everyone. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and the staff was so kind! There was some very fun drinks that made the instagram :) The restaurant was fairly empty when we went but still had a lively ambiance at the bar. The restaurant was not wheelchair friendly, so just keep that in mind! And parking can be tricky- parking garage is likely the best option when going around supper time. read more

The experience overall was really great. The outdoor patio was perfect for a summer evening. We ordered cheese curds for an appetizer which were really good and not overly breaded. I got the steak and bleu salad which was heavy on the blue cheese, but I really enjoyed it. I wish my steak was closer to a medium rare but was still good. Grabbed a spot outside during the Taste of Madison....We were seated promptly and had service quickly. I needed a Bloody Mary and like a ton of Wisco bars they make a good one. We shared appetizers of nachos, curds, and wings. The nachos were slammed with toppings. The chicken tinga was delicious and not completely shredded. The curds were just okay. The wings (half Parmesan and half Buffalo) were meaty and tasty. All in all solid food. Shout out to the staff for de-escalating a belligerent hillbilly and her boyfriend. They were arguing and already intoxicated from the Taste causing a scene. After a while of her refusing to leave, she threw a bottle and her scumbag boyfriend broke a chair by slamming it on the street. The left the scene right before the cops got there. However fun fact...they happened to be staying at our hotel and were being losers there too. This time the cops got there and she was perp walked thru the lobby. Three adults and one 2 year old. Our incredible (and I mean INCREDIBLE I wish they lived in Texas so I could hire her lol) was our table staff and I think the GM or potential owner even gave my nephew (the 2 year old) a little ring pop and magnet toy to play with while we hung out so unexpected!! Taylor was attentive, super chill, and went the extra mile by admitting she had to check on a question and quickly came back instead of lying or just saying that's not their job. Taylor seriously made the experience. Then my family left and I felt bad taking a table so I moved to the bar and the bar staff took just as good care and even honored my bottomless mimosa felt so bad they gave such great service I tipped every refill lol good service is so rare now The food was extravagantly humble. The parfait was to die for and the breakfast platters were flavorful even if a "standard plate". My sister doesn't normally do locks and said the all bagel sandwich (in pictures) was very good! The cocktails - I will say I was a little taken aback by having an espresso martini with whiskey but was not upset. The spicy margarita was better than spicy margs in Texas and the bottomless mimosas were actually bottomless and they refilled with joy it just so relaxing and pleasant. Ambiance - they kept the older brick building but did the upgrades in the right place. If you look hard enough you'll notice they even put sound pads underneath the bar chairs such a small but important move in the restaurant/bar scene. The attention to the important details were incredible. Okay..... onto the bathroom... YAAAASSSSSS lol. This bathroom (women's bathroom is the one I used here) was one of the cleanest and comforting bathrooms I've ever been in even better than some 5 star hotels and restaurants!! It was incredibly clean, minimalist, they actually had a solid ceiling and closed stalls, the stone work was not cold and the gold to white marble tile was just beautiful. I cannot stress enough that the stalls were enclosed actually (we all know what I'm talking about) and the fact that you can't smell anything but clean without an overpowering bleach scent lol I can't explain it I just love their bathroom lol (pictures included). Madison's was an amazing place to eat for brunch. The atmosphere is immediately welcoming with soft music and friendly staff. The environment is designed in a more modern style with older architecture with the restaurant being inside an old building right by the state capitol. The food service did take a bit longer than most but that is because everything is custom-made to you when you order and so nothing is pre-made before it is eaten. The food quality was top tier and mouth-watering. I highly recommend this place if you are stopping by the state capitol and want to spend some time to relax and eat delicious food! read more

A solid place for drinks. It's pretty old school industrial feels in there. Exposed brick walls, a center circular bar, surrounded by booths. There was trivia on the Thursday night that we went. We got fried cauliflower and the slider trio and their house seasonal cocktails. Nothing was crazy mind blowing, but the food was good. The cocktails were yummy (if not a lil expensive). Service was awful. Took far too long for our drinks to arrive - appetizer was served before drinks. The entree order wasn't taken until after the app dishes were cleared. It took more than 45 minutes for the entrees to arrive. My husband had to go up to the bartender and asked to get his own beer too. Went here for a Sunday lunch in the Winter but my GF & I live in the Milwaukee area so we are not locals & definitely won't be on the top of my list if I come back to Madison. So I will be a one-and-done here. Food was good-great, interior was very nice, menu selection is below average. I think this is the type of place where the menu is designed for college students, but is too expensive & nice interior for normal college students. It is a "drink" Brunch menu more than a food Brunch menu. Went with the Pork Hash & while the food was great, it wasn't that hefty amount of food. However, it was much more than the Classic Breakfast or anything else I saw walk past me. The inside of the place is very nice. Great amount of TVs for Saturday & Sunday brunch to catch a football or basketball game, but nothing to ride home about from the menu. Food was far from average, but usually I leave a place saying "If I ever came back I would get ***this***" but not here. Honestly for their brunch, there were only two things that looked worth it: Huevos Rancheros & the Pork Hash. Then I realized the Huevos Rancheros came with no meat inside. I think the place is a 3.5 star place, which is what it is at right now. Definitely wouldn't come here during Brunch, boring menu. They probably get most of their Sunday business because Marigold's is slammed & both Old Fashioned & Tipsy Cow are closed. Went to watch the Packer game 1/10/26. made a reservation as suggested on their website. Sat at 6:45 and waited over 35 mins, no one came up to even greet us. We let the host know and still, nothing . Multiple table around us were greeted immediately with waters. Went to Madison's once for a happy hour date on a Friday. I enjoyed the ambient music that was played in the venue along with the multiple TV screens displaying different sports. The venue was packed when I visited, but I was still able to get seating in 15 minutes. I balled out on the happy hour menu to try a lot of their snacks. The fried chicken sliders were juicy and crispy, but overall nothing too special compared to other ones I've had. Their loaded tater tots were very filling and tasty. I liked how the tots were crispy and fluffy on the inside, but the loaded cheese was too much for me to handle (I know we're in Wisconsin but I had to tap out!). I was VERY IMPRESSED with the chicken wings they had. The dry rubbed ones were so juicy and tasty and crisp. The seasoning was perfect. We stopped in here after dinner for a couple cocktails with friends and had the best time! Love their historic building that boasted a modern chill vibe. The music was great and the craft cocktails were awesome - including the price for downtown! They also had a great selection of liquor including house-made infused vodkas and more. I haven't been to Madison's since before the ice cream place opened where their dance floor used to be, and I have to say I love it even more now than before! The bartenders/waitstaff were so friendly and funny, very personable. We were told they had a great brunch menu so we will definitely be coming back for that! Came here for my wife's birthday dinner. We picked it because the hours online showed it was open until 11pm and we tend to run later when traveling. We arrived around 8:30pm. Service was fine, but they were trying to push us out of the restaurant as soon as possible. The food was great, but I could tell they cooked my steak as quick as they could due to it coming out rare/bleu (I ordered medium). They made a big show of cleaning out the rest of the restaurant and turning groups away when it was only a little after 9pm, obviously trying to get everyone still dining to finish up and leave. We were out of there by 9:30. Overall very frustrating. I can't believe I tipped like a sucker. I understand if someone walks in 10 minutes to close, but if you don't want to work late hours don't work in the service industry. Food order placed shortly after. Great. Long wait for the food to arrive though. Everything was pretty bland but hey it's the Midwest so ok. But then the bill was so inaccurately marked up - charged an extra $6 from menu price. Went back& looked and pricing on bill did not match listed price on menus. I've been to Madison's on numerous occasions and it is always a good time- morning or night. On this occasion, we came for brunch and had the bottomless mimosas. The staff is friendly and quick. The place itself it pretty large and there are lots of spaces to sit. To note, bathrooms are down a flight of stairs. Madison's is located in a nice area with lots of other restaurants and bars around. Lots of TV's, booths, tables, and bar seats. We weren't allowed to order bottomless mimosas unless we were sitting down at the bar, so we pulled up a chair from another table. Our name ended up being called for our table after 20 minutes. We ordered the cheese curds to start. They were awesome! Not too greasy and a great flavor. Healthy portion, too. I ordered the chicken and waffles for my entree. One of the best bottomless mimosa places downtown Madison. We sat at the bar on a busy Saturday morning for brunch. This is a bar that I will not be returning to simply because of service. After we were seated, it took ten minutes for someone to take our order, then someone else also came to our table, which led me to believe that there were some organizational issues. There were empty tables and empty barstools, with no one waiting for a table, so being completely full and busy is not an excuse. The drinks were good, however I wanted to get another, but there was nobody checking in on us to see if we needed anything. We also had to go to the host stand to ask for our checks and mention that no one took our order. We decided to stop by to grab some drinks at the bar for a friend's birthday. Ordering was a slow process, although it was not busy. Throughout the night, we watched cocktails be made - mint was slapped against the forearm and then stuffed deep into people's drinks - this seemed odd (and unsanitary?) as one should spank/smack the mint using one's hands or wrists to release the minty aroma. At one point, we asked a bartender if they served a specialty shot, to which he responded "no." Just stood there and didn't offer an alternative. This review is a two-parter: 1. We ordered take-out from Madison's near the beginning of the pandemic/lock-down. We didn't have high expectations, but we wanted a burger and we wanted to support a local business. We were blown away! The food arrived super quick and because of that, it was still hot when we got it. The tater tots were still perfect - not even the slightest bit mushy. And the burger, well it was also perfect and definitely what we were looking for. 2. We decided to do outdoor brunch one Saturday in July. We walked into downtown and hit up Madison's. It was a great idea. The outdoor seating space was quaint and it was fun to watch people walking and riding past on their bikes. Tables were separated appropriately and servers and patrons were all abiding by social distancing and masking rules. They even have speakers outside to provide music to guests. We had a fabulous breakfast (the chicken and waffles was to die for) complete with yummy cocktails. Cannot recommend them highly enough! read more

To jote, we ordered an appetizer, wings, salad, only 1-2 entrees. We flagged the waitress down 3 times and each time she mentioned that she would check on it and kept giving excuses. I get it, as a waitress there's only so much you can control.. but don't lie or sugar coat the situation. We asked to close out the bill and while apologetic, the waitress then mentioned our food wasn't even being prepared and she didn't know how to tell us. 4 stars for their $12 bottomless brunch! There aren't many good bottomless brunch places in Madison, and this is by far the best and my favorite. The servers actually fill up your glasses on time, you can sit outside in the warm months, and there is no time limit for your table. The food is also really good: the market omelet is the best and changes each weekend, and the challah french toast is perfect if you're craving something sweet.
