I actually got to sit down and eat and it was easily some of the best food I have had in my life. The staff were very attentive, making sure me and my husband were well taken care of. They would bring us waters when we were looking dehydrated. My guests told me that the staff was amazing and helpful at every turn. The staff knew what they were doing, were very organized and very polite to all of my guests, they wanted to ensure that everyone was having an amazing time. The venue, also amazing. We had about 155 guests that fit in one half of the hall space perfectly. We were able to set everything up the day before the wedding so we weren't stressed on our wedding day. Chad was very responsive to anything we were needing including tables, linens and made sure everything looked beautiful the day of. We booked out wedding at The Heights about 8 months out from our wedding day. The first 7 months or so it was a bit challenging to get ahold of the Chad but the month before the wedding he would answer every call and email right away! Overall I would highly recommend The Heights to anyone looking for a venue. If you like an amazing staff, food and venue this is the place for you! I went in to check out the architecture/setup to scout as a wedding venue for my and my fiancé, and there were a bunch of people in cloaks with owl masks on. they chanting in a circle not english... with a devil star portrait hung up and a big owl demon statue they were kneeled before. I tried to take a photo but security grabbed me and brought me outside tried calling the cops on me but i left first.

The only down side was the placement of the DJ and "kids table"...which I have no clue who's decision this was...maybe the wedding coordinator? The DJ was directly in front of our table and we got literally go blasted out of our seats : ) I think they eventually figured it out as the volume slowly came down, but I'm still ringing a bit. Regardless of that issue, I would totally recommend this venue for the aesthetics alone. I have no idea what the costs were and all the other ins and outs, but the place and execution of the event was really really nice. And whomever did the food was excellent as well. There's quite a few tables and chairs, but even so on a busy summer evening it might be full. As good as the food is here, the service can be a little iffy, and the bar service can be very slow. This evening three of us ordered gin and tonics which came without limes in them. This is like sacrilegious to gin and tonic drinkers. You shouldn't have to ask for limes in this drink. The other thing that was irritating is that salt and pepper was not on the table and butter did not come with the entrées which included baked potatoes. It was brought on request but it's just odd that they wouldn't have have these things on the tables already. Our waitress was a high intern so we went easy on her and hope she learned something from us. We still tipped her well. That said it's a great Wisconsin fish fry place and worth stopping for.
