Our tour company made a mistake in their instructions for obtaining a visa for Algeria. With little time to spare, Cecille E, got the initial permission required for us to apply for an Algerian visa in about 2 days. We overnighted our passports to her, and she managed to get the visas in about a week. Cecille kept us informed and got the visas an passports back to us with days to spare. PVS has never let me down; however, this was a particularly tricky situation with an invitation needing to come first prior to the application being submitted and on a short deadline. we have used PVS to get a visa for Bolivia as they were recommended by our travel company. They advised us we had to have a yellow fever vaccination card in order to apply for a visa through them to visit La Paz. We paid $375 each to get the vaccine and when we arrived in Bolivia, we were told no yellow fever vaccination was required as there aren't mosquitos at 12,000 ft. I later confirmed with the Bolivian embassy that it wasn't required. When I contacted PVS, provided a copy of an email from the embassy as well as a 2022 statement from the World Health Organization and from Passport Health supporting the fact that the card wasn't required, they basically shrugged it off and said they ca n't be responsible. I am extremely unhappy with the service of PVS. I knew they were working on my visas because they cashed my check on January 2. Seventeen days later I have called 3times and they were cavalier in their responses. They had incorrectly assumed I was leaving later than was stated on my application. They said it would be completed soon. Yet no progress. Never again!!! read more

We are planning a trip to Southeast Asia at the end of this month. Our tour company, Overseas Adventure Travel, recommended we use PVS International to obtain our visas. It seemed like a good idea, since it was an all-in-one process. We sent everything out, according to the instructions, at the beginning of August. By the end of September we hadn't received our visas or passports- that alone made us very uneasy. Over the next 2 weeks we kept calling for updates and we were told "they're going to be mailed out." We finally received the package on 10/3. Everything was in order, but we are very disappointed in the communication. This company can do better. read more

We sent in our passports and paperwork for visas to Botswana and Zimbabwe 8 weeks beforehand, like we were told by our tour company. PVS sent them back the week before we left, without the VISAS! They said they didn't get to it, and we would have to do it on our own! Not happy! read more

Outstanding service. I have used them for almost 20 years and they always get my documentation and are excellent at keeping me up to date on what is happening. I planned a trip to Russia then realized after hotels, etc. were booked that the visa process is pretty complicated! I found PVS recommended by a travel blogger and am so glad I did. Had I gone the non-agency route, there's no way I would have had a visa in time, no way. Plus I would have had to take two days off work, drive to DC, park in DC...you get the picture (6 hour drive one-way). Got all my documents in order, followed the instructions given by PVS, had my Russian visa in hand well within the promised timeframe. All is in order and they alleviated so much stress. One small thing to mention is the online "order status" bit is not regularly updated (just says "processing"), but one day I called in to ask details of the status just to be sure all was in order. The woman was very friendly and helpful and advised when specifically I would have the visa, and indeed I received it when she said I would. Would recommend and absolutely use again! read more

Here was the timeline: Entrants, Returnees Follow-up System( ERFS ) information sent out to my tour company for processing on August 23rd, 2022. This was needed to get my visa. It was the responsibility of my tour company to complete. I sent out my visa application with my passport and a check for $135.00 on September 6th. There was no communication from PVS as to receiving the documents. I did note that the check was cashed on September 8th which indicated that PVS had received the documents. Approximately around September 22nd, Japan announced that the visas were no longer needed after October 11th. Again, dead silence from PVS. I sent an email to Jean W. on September 27th asking what is going on. I got an out of office message stating that she will be back on August 30th. I am sure she meant September 30th. Again, I was met with silence. Finally, I called PVS on Oct 3rd to see what is going on. Basically, nothing happened. My paperwork sat in their office for over three weeks. Did it inch over to the Japanese Consulate? I do not think so. My passport came back today minus the visa. PVS did return my passport picture. PVS did not refund the $135. I am not happy as to what had transpired. I may have to go back to the other company I used before- I think they are called ZVS-Zierer? I used PVS before in getting my Bolivian Visa- no problem but this time- arhhh! read more

For a nominal fee, PVS will shepherd your paperwork through the Russian Embassy. Completing the visa application reminds you that the US is a far more open society than many on this earth. But, a competent agent at PVS answered my questions thoroughly and promptly after previous calls to travel agencies only deferred my questions to a Consulate. Overseas Adventure travel recommends PVS Internation for processing visas however their is a problem. PVS has no control over the process and you will lose your passport while they sit on their hands. Go to the embassy to get a visa 1st. Recently, they took 2 full months to process a Brazilian visa and PVS's reply to phone calls was that they can do nothing to speed up the process. Too bad I submitted my application to PVS before Gladys posted her review. I sent in my application nearly 3 months before my travel date to avoid problems like I had. They don't update your visa status on their website and don't answer emails. My travel companions got their visas promptly, but even with Overseas Adventure Travel that sends them lots of business calling for me too, it still took many phone calls to get them to do their job with only three weeks left. Their standard answer is "it's at the embassy." Surely a company that charges $100 to get your visa knows someone at the embassy they can call. They kept giving me the runaround and didn't seem to care. I finally talked to a boss who made it happen; I got my passport with visa back just 10 days before departure. If you do use them and haven't gotten your visa back within 6 weeks, make sure to talk to a boss. read more

Please do yourself a favor and apply to visas directly to the consulate. It is very easy, and PVS has no leverage to move the process in your favor at all. PVS kept our passports 5 weeks, then mailed them back without the visa because there was nothing they could do, and they knew it before we sent in our documents. What they claim to do, any traveler can do on his/her own directly by mail or in person at a consular office. The not-so-"nominal" (two or three times what the consulate charges) consular fees were reimbursed since they could not get us the visas, but our passports were FedEx'd Express Saver (that's $14.50), while they had charged $25 for the return mail. Stay away! If there will be no-star review, I will use that. read more

Needed a visa travelling to India, Overseas Adventure Travels recommended PVS to handle it. For only a few dollars more everything was handled on line saving me two trips (at least) to San Francisco, expensive parking, if you can find a parking space, dealing with an outsource agency and having to follow up on the paperwork. PVS promised and delivered , saving me time, money and the kaos involved around Superbowl time in the city. Definitely will use them again. read more

PVS International is a very competent company that handles Visa Request. We recently used PVS for a tour this year that began in September. I forwarded my requests to them giving them less than the normal time span to process the requessts. I was contacted by the company and they assured me that they would have the visas on time.
