i've been coming to buying from Subaru for years and it's always been a 5 star experiance ! Miguel Reyes has been my sales person over the years and he's always gone out of his way to make me feel important. Because he is so great with customers, I'm not the only one who feels this way and he gets really busy with multiple appointments a day, but always makes time for me no matter how busy he gets and provides me with the best service! He follows up with me after every purchase to make sure everything went well and truley cares about me having a special experiance that you just can not find anywhere else . If you don't like the typical car buying experience, with pushy salespeople , and bad practices , I would highly recommend coming to Putnam Subaru and dealing with Miguel . no pressure , great service excellent pricing! I had an excellent experience at Putnam Subaru. Communications across the board were efficient and smooth. Chris from sales was awesome! He helped me find the right car and color for me and trade in my previous one. Chris was personable, knowledgeable, and truly helpful throughout the process. Negotiations were fair, and every question I had was answered thoroughly and clearly. Even at the end, Chris didn't just hand over the keys, he made sure I could connect my phone to the car and see my navigation. He also checked in the next day, making it easy to ask any questions I had that came up. Plus, he connected me to schedule an appointment with one of their Love Encore Delivery Specialists (shout out to Max) to go over all my car's buttons and features. Very much appreciated! I now feel like I fully understand my car. Lastly, a big thank you to Oliver in finance, who was so informative and easy to talk to. I never felt pressured or rushed. He patiently explained my options and his recommendations. Overall, a positive experience, and I would recommend coming here for your next car! read more

Thank you, Harry and Melissa. They have been busy this summer. They were kind enough to let me drop off my car prior to my European trip. My electrical went limp fortunately I have a 100 K warranty on my car. I believe in warranties. They were able to fix my valve AY oil and My cylinder number three misfire removed intake, manifold and clean up carbon buildup and performed walnut blasting and cleaning of the intake valves. They took good care of me. They are a stand-up shop! I think taking good care of your vehicle with a service shop, while sometimes might feel expensive, is good practice. when you really need people to take care of your car, you have then have a established a relationship and that is beneficial. read more

Service Dept: 5 stars! I'm a refuge from Carlsen Subaru, had been going there for over a decade. So I was very pleased to see Putnam's gleaming service department, with windows into the service bays. IDK if that's mostly gimmick, but being able see where the cars are being worked on makes me trust the place just that bit more. Also great to see Harry from Carlsen as my service advisor. If this was an audition for my business, I think they passed. read more

I had a fantastic experience purchasing my car from Dominic at Putnam Subaru. I drove more than 30 miles to get there--even though there are at least five Subaru dealers within 20 miles of my home--and Dominic made it truly worth the trip. He offered me the best price and found exactly the car I wanted--no tricks or word games. Dominic made the entire process smooth and comfortable from start to finish. He took the time to thoroughly show and explain all the fancy features, and also helped us set up the MySubaru app. The finance staff, Mr Lee (I didn't catch the first name), was also very nice. He explained all the documents we needed to sign with patience and in a very relaxing manner, which made the whole process even easier. Highly recommend working with Dominic and the team at Putnam Subaru if you're looking for honesty, transparency, and great service! read more

Putnam Subaru - my new car, so excited ~~~ - Car Dealers Near Me - Burlingame, California

It was my first time purchasing a car without my parents, and I had always been a little nervous about dealing with dealerships because I'd heard they could be very pushy. Out of all the Subaru dealerships my husband and I contacted, Miguel at Putnam Subaru made the entire experience exceptional. From the very beginning, Miguel was responsive, patient, and genuinely kind. Unlike some of the other dealerships we spoke with, he never pressured us or made us feel rushed. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and even provided us with detailed information before we ever stepped foot in the dealership. My husband and I had recently been in a car accident that totaled our previous vehicle, leaving us without transportation. Because of that, we couldn't easily drive around the Bay Area visiting different dealerships. While many dealerships insisted that we come in person before sharing any information, Miguel understood our situation and happily provided everything we needed remotely. His understanding and willingness to help made a stressful situation so much easier. Miguel's cheerful attitude, professionalism, and personable nature made us genuinely look forward to hearing from him. He built such great rapport with us that we knew we wanted to buy from Putnam Subaru and nowhere else. In fact, we took a two-hour public transportation ride just to do business with Miguel and this dealership. It was absolutely worth it! We drove home in our new car that same day feeling happy, confident, and well taken care of. The entire buying process was smooth, easy, and completely stress-free. Even after purchasing our car, every visit to Putnam Subaru has been a positive experience. Everyone we've interacted with has been friendly, polite, and attentive. We never feel like just another customer, and because of that, we'll gladly make the drive to have our car serviced here. A huge thank you to Miguel, Markus, and Max for making our car-buying experience with Subaru such a positive one. We couldn't have asked for a better team. I highly recommend Putnam Subaru, and especially Miguel, to anyone looking for an honest, enjoyable, and hassle-free car-buying experience! read more

Easiest car dealership I've ever had. Ask for Miguel Reyes. He was great from pre-sale to post-sale.

Melissa G is the Subaru Service manager and Harry S is the service advisor I always work with. Melissa is a very hard working person and it's clear to me after numerous visits here for service, the customers and the service advisors respect and like Melissa. Harry is always accommodating, has a "can do" attitude which is wonderful to see as a customer. These fine folks make getting our cars serviced painless. read more

This is my second Subaru purchase, and both times I had the pleasure of working with Miguel Reyes. My first was in late 2023, and just this past Labor Day weekend, it was time for our family to upgrade from a Crosstrek to an Ascent. Miguel made the entire process effortless. All I had to do was share what I was looking for, when I wanted to come in, and he had everything ready to go. When we arrived, the car was waiting for us to test drive. Miguel remembered exactly what model we had purchased and pulled a comparable Ascent for us to try out. He walked us through the key differences, encouraged both of us to drive, and made sure we felt confident in our choice. What really stood out was how personable he was--not just with us, but with our little one too. Our 2-year-old quickly warmed up to him, and Miguel even remembered our dogs from our first test drive years ago. His thoughtful, tailored approach made us feel valued and understood. Although we've since moved out of the city, we happily made the drive back because of the trust and comfort Miguel brings to the car-buying experience. He's the reason we'll keep coming back to Putnam rather than go to Marin dealership. read more

We purchased a new Subaru earlier this year and Julian Medina was one of the best salespeople we've ever worked with. We never felt pressured, he answered all our questions, and really made us feel at ease. When we finally made the decision, he helped us get the exact color combo and trim level we were looking for; and never pushed us to settle for something we didn't want. The next time we're in the market for another car, we'll definitely look for him first. read more

This is a review of the service facility. Went in for a basic oil service and inspection. It was busy at 10:30 AM and was told it would be $360 and a 2 hour wait. I asked the price for making a duplicate key and was quoted $445. The waiting room is comfortable and full of snacks and drinks. I was texted a link after an hour reporting on their progress which included a video which was very nice. Just about 2 hours later my car was ready and was surprised to see the original quote was for cash/Debit only and they charge an extra fee for credit cards. Bummer but oh well. Total charge was $378 with tax and fees. Everyone was friendly and professional. I will happily return. read more

There was zero pressure, no games, and no hassle -- he actually listened to what we needed and helped us find the right car that truly matched our priorities and budget. The whole process felt smooth and respectful, which is rare in car buying. Shout-out to Cartier in Finance, who made the loan/purchase process clear and straightforward, and Max, who took the time to walk us through the features and explain how everything works so we felt confident driving off the lot. Overall, the team was superb -- efficient, honest, and aligned with our needs. If you're thinking about buying a Subaru, go to Putnam Subaru and ask for Miguel Reyes. I just leased a Crosstrek from Putnam Subaru and worked with Miguel Reyes. My dad was helping me with researching cars to lease, and was emailing with Miguel. Miguel was consistently responsive and quick to reply to his follow-up questions. Miguel was also flexible and willing to negotiate, which made the process feel collaborative rather than pressured. I haven't owned a car in a very long time, so this was all new to me again. Miguel was patient and made it easy. When I came in, he had the car ready, and when I realized I didn't like the color, he was flexible and helped me get one I actually preferred. The customer service at Putnam Subaru exceeds all expectations! Found the car I wanted online and got connected with Juliano. I let Juliano know that I was very interested in getting my first Subaru and he made sure it happened! I told Juliano I wouldn't be able to come in to check the car out and figure paperwork out till after work and it wasn't a problem for him! I met Juliano around 6:30pm on a weekday and considering how late it was it did not change the level of support he provided! He really cared to help me! He met me late, addressed my wants and concerns, and made the whole car-buying process so seamless! Huge shoutout to Juliano for going beyond for me! Made the overall experience 10 out of 10! I would recommend coming here and working with Juliano. I love my Subaru read more

Purchased a 2007 Subaru forester ll bean edition from Putnam Subaru. Had to have the car shipped to me because I live out of state and was relying on transparent dealer experience. Car was sold to me as is but stated to be in good mechanical condition. Car arrived weeks later from shipping and immediatly a major mechanic issue w the engine was identified. Repair cost was nearly 4k. Attempted multiple contacts of management but with no success. Text and voice messages from sales person. Putnam Subaru - Car Dealers Near Me - Burlingame, California

We started coming to Subaru of Burlingame's service department a few years ago because we wanted to feel safe taking our Subaru to a legitimate dealership. We barely drive this car -- maybe 2,000 miles a year -- so it's essentially lightly used and well maintained. While past experiences were just "okay" (oil changes routinely take over an hour even with an appointment), my most recent visit was unacceptable. At my appointment yesterday, I was checked in by a service advisor I hadn't worked with before. I was there alone, without my husband, and was recommended an 18,000-mile "major service" for $500, which I was told was needed. Trusting the advisor's expertise, I approved the work. The car was quoted at 2.5 hours and finished in about 2 hours. When I got home and reviewed my records, I discovered that I had already paid for an 18,000-mile service in May of this year -- just months ago -- for $300. Given how little we drive, this service clearly was not necessary again. When I called to question the charge, I was told this service is "recommended every 6 months or 6,000 miles" and that if I didn't want it, I should have declined it. That response misses the point entirely: I relied on the service advisor to tell me what my car actually needed, and instead I was sold a redundant and expensive service. No one reviewed my service history, acknowledged the issue, or offered any refund or resolution. The entire interaction left me feeling taken advantage of, particularly because I was alone and trusted the advisor to act in good faith. That is not how a dealership service department should treat its customers. I won't be returning, and I strongly encourage others -- especially those who may not be car experts -- to carefully review their service history and question every recommendation before approving work here. read more

Rich ass Putnam, needs to upsell materials and use a 2% charge on credit card transactions-- like they're a local liquor store. I was shocked that no one muttered "cash only" and a 10% ATM machine was ready in the lobby. This review is long overdue, but If you are looking for a car agent who is honest, gives you feedback about your vehicle of choice for your best interest and on top of everything. I 100% recommend Miguel and Dominic. Our family bought few cars through the years here in putnam subaru and Miguel ALWAYS helps us. If we need something even after we bought the car he is always available & Amazing follow up process. I have been here a few times for service and they have always been incredibly friendly and professional. I have come in for service,m to fix a sunroof issue, and once to get the battery in my key fob replaced. When I went it to replace my keyfob they changed it for free, which I appreciated. Other dealerships have charged me for that. While minor, it is a nice gesture from them which I appreciate. I recently purchased a 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid from Chris Tyminski, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. My family first visited the showroom over the summer to check out the car, and we were immediately grateful to have connected with Chris. He took the time to show us the vehicle, answered all of our questions, and was incredibly chill, never pushy. When we were ready to make the purchase this month, we reached out to Chris to start the process. I had contacted several other Subaru dealerships in the area to compare prices, but Chris was able to match or beat every quote we received and work with us on pricing. Also, even though the color we wanted wasn't initially in stock, he was able to locate one quickly and honor our negotiated price without any hassle. Overall, Chris truly stood out from all the other dealers I communicated with, he was the most genuine, responsive, and professional of the group. My husband and I were thrilled to give him our business and wouldn't hesitate to return in the future because of his exceptional service. Also, after purchasing, Ricardo walked through all the features of the car with us, which was so incredibly helpful as well! read more

Bought an Outback Onyx trim from Miguel. Of all the dealerships I inquired with, Miguel's dealership had the best price and I didn't want any dealer/manufacturer add ons (I could buy them separately and install most of them myself for way cheaper) My husband and I drove up from Orange County to buy this car once we finalized the OTD price in writing. I purchased a new Crosstrek about a week ago, working with Miguel. He was fantastic from the start, answering my questions via phone and email, never pushy, just informative, polite, and professional. Again, not pushy or trying to get me to buy add-ons, just explained everything clearly and provided some insightful feedback and advice. Finally, the product specialist, Ricardo, gave me a rundown of the car's functions and features. Again, super patient with me, and I appreciated that he admitted he didn't know something instead of making an answer up. He also cracked a few jokes and made my partner and me laugh.
