I picked up my 2026 BMW i4 and couldn't be happier and a big part of that is thanks to Kees. I walked in knowing almost nothing about EVs, and he took the time to break everything down for me in a way that actually made sense, without ever making me feel rushed or talked down to. He was refreshingly honest about the trade-offs of going electric, not just the sales pitch, which is exactly what I needed to feel confident in the decision. I am writing this review as I am driving back home in the rain. My husband called Peter Pan BMW earlier today and asked if we can come in to take a look at some cars. The guy said we may close early today but call us as you are on your way and we will stay open for you. Their financing option expires TOMORROW and today is the only day we can go together to the dealership. So, after getting off work and as we are driving to the dealership around 447 pm, we called and spoke to Danny and he said they were starting to close soon, but if you get here before 530 pm, we will see you. Driving from SF to their dealership in San Mateo takes about 30 min, so we can definitely be there before 530 pm. We even told Danny we will get there at 515 pm, according to GPS. A few minutes later, Danny calls us back and said he spoke to his sales manager and said they will close in 10 minutes. That means, they will close at 5 pm, when the store hours said they close at 6 pm AND they said we will stay open for you if you call us and are on your way. How is this any kind of customer service? You have a client on their way and following YOUR instructions to call YOU before coming in, AND my husband called YOU earlier today at 330 pm confirming YOUR store hours and you said you will STAY open for us if we are coming. If nobody is coming or if we didn't call you, then yes I understand that you can close your store early because it's a holiday. But this is clearly not the case. AND the financing option expires tomorrow. Peter Pan BMW, you went back on your word all because you want to leave work 30 minutes early. You lost a client (and hopefully many others in the future when they read this review) because of your lack of hard work, or in this case, just work. Update as of 1/14/26: I emailed Gary from Customer Relations, the same day he replied to my Yelp review to "connect with me about my recent visit and communications with our team". I honestly did not expect anyone to respond when I wrote this review, but when I saw that Gary is interested in connecting with me, I thought wow ok, they do care about their customers, hence their name Customer Relations. When I emailed him, there was no automatic reply about him being out of office (as what people usually do when they are unable to respond to you), so I assumed he would reach out. It has been 11 days, and I still have not yet had a reply from him. I'm just saying, if you say you're going to connect with me, I'd expect you to. This just shows, yet again, I have reached out to Peter Pan BMW and have gotten a negative experience. I'd honestly prefer that you do not try to reach me now because I've had 2 bad experiences in this 1 location. I am really surprised to have seen all the positive reviews for Peter Pan BMW because my personal experience with this dealership over the last ~30 days has been abysmal. If you are an out-of-state buyer, don't bother. These guys will actively do anything and everything they can to prevent you from being able to successfully purchase a vehicle from their dealership. They said as much, preferring to sell to someone who will come back for repeat business and presumably the ongoing car maintenance as well. While I can respect and appreciate this consideration, I would have expected more transparency in the process as opposed to poor communication, a lack of prioritization, incorrect information, and just a generally "lets drag it out and hope an in state buyer emerges" approach. If local, I'm sure your experience will be great. If you're an experienced buyer of out-of-state used vehicles, don't waste your time. read more

I had the pleasure of doing business with Peter Pan BMW recently. I went there in September 2025 looking for a manual transmission M3. Met with Internet Sales Manager Javed Ahmadzai. The car Peter Pan had on the floor was a really nice Dravit Gray MT M3. But it was a 2025 model, and I was not up for it, especially this late in the year. My first impression with Javed was he did not push me to get that car off his floor. Instead, he immediately aligned with me to place an order for a 2026 model. He was working diligently to convert the Competition X-Drive allocation he had to the Base MT that I wanted, and helped through placing the order. And during the few months of waiting time, when I changed my mind more than a few times to make changes to my specs, he patiently obliged to all my requests for changes and kept updating the specs as I pleased. Fast-forward 4 months to mid December 2025, the car arrived at the entry port at Oxnard, but the timing at the VPC and trucking company to the Bay Area was very narrowly colliding with my holiday trip that I had planned with my family. Javed worked with his GM, Gary Hutchinson, to track down the truck that carried my car, gave me continuous updates on its whereabouts, with an accurate estimate of when it will arrive. We had just one day between the arrival of the car at the dealership and my date of departure for my holiday trip. He went out of his way to: (1) First capture a 10 second video of my car arriving at the dealership on a truck to show my kids - who were tracking the car all the way from Germany, across the ocean to America, and were eagerly waiting for it, (2) Finish all the paperwork needed ahead of time to save time on delivery, and (3) Arranged for finishing the PDI over the weekend when usually it is not done during weekends, to deliver the car to me the very next day - which was one day before my trip! My kids were so happy to see the car with a nice bow on top - 4 days before Christmas! Javed is an amazing communicator, who knows exactly what to communicate to the customer and when. He predicts and anticipates ahead of time what the customer would be looking for, at any given time of the vehicle purchase process, and makes sure the customer is kept informed accurately, in a timely manner. If you are looking to buy a BMW, do yourself a favor: Please head to Peter Pan, and ask for Javed. You will be happy you did! Rest assured, you will be treated with atmost care, professionalism and most importantly, with great respect! I ended up buying a BMW from here! Ok. It's been close to two decades since I last purchased a car, and this was my first BMW purchase. I was on already on edge since this purchase would be one of my more frivolous purchases and my last car buying experience of a different brand wasn't very honest (the dealership doesn't exist anymore). I gotta say, they run a very well oiled machine here. I called the night before because I found a car that had the majority of configurations on it. I came in the next morning right during opening and was greeted by Kam. To my surprise, everything I had discussed over the phone with the other sales person the night before was recorded and already set up in the system. I found Kam to be friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and no nonsense. I told him I was trying to get out on time to make some meetings and we really zoomed through the whole process. The price was the price, and there were no weird additional add ons. He showed me all the math and the pricing on his monitor. I'm sure he noticed my astonishment over the simplicity of buying a luxury car. After the pricing and set up was initiated I was moved over to the finance manager, Thomas. Same deal here. The price is the price and there are no weird funky add ons unless you choose so. Thomas was really knowledgeable since he himself has been in the industry for awhile, and honestly answered my maintenance concerns. The virtual desktop thing he uses to show you all of the documentation is super cool. We had a bit more time once I had my car delivered and I was really fortunate to have Nader give me the white glove treatment. He showed me how all the high tech features worked and has been quite responsive in my post purchase concerns. I do hope I'm able to keep this bimmer around for as long as I kept my last car, but I hope I can get a chance to buy another car here again! read more

We have historically loved BMWs and have been loyal customers of Peter Pan BMW for many years. That loyalty is why we came back recently, excited about a deal on a BMW i5. However, we were shocked to discover--through our own research--that the vehicle had a stop sale due to an unresolved electrical issue. Not only that, but we were told it was a loaner car with 5800 miles, but on the specs sheet it noted Priority: 1-Customer "sold" at the top, which I am guessing means it was designated to someone else and was not sold. This important information was not disclosed by the dealership until we asked about it, and they could not tell us what it was for (high voltage or low voltage). Their only reasoning was the car could not be sold with a stop sale. While true, this approach was incompetent at best, or worse. And it wasted an hour and a half of our time. This is not small to us; our previous experience purchasing a BMW from Peter Pan years ago also involved a serious electrical issue that ultimately led to a recall under the lemon law. While we wanted to continue our relationship with the dealership, the lack of transparency here created an unsustainable environment for mutual trust. Note this is not about the recall, though two lemons is concerning, it's about trust. Unfortunately, because of this, we are no longer able to be customers at Peter Pan BMW. We hope the dealership takes greater care in full disclosure to rebuild trust with future customers. Selling cars is not rocket science. Being responsible, customer focussed, and at least being close to honest should not be a heroic request. read more
