After five hours of no contact from their team, we headed back to the service center to our car being out front. When giving us the keys they recommended a new battery and suspension...but we were NEVER called to action on this while they had our car for 5 hours. Why a business would recommend service at the end of the appointment without calling while the car is in their possession is beside me. After 3 appointments here...we've learned our lesson. My brother recently took his vehicle to this dealership after being advised elsewhere that there might be a transmission leak. He informed his service advisor, Erik, about the concern. Rather than being upfront about their capabilities, Erik proceeded to write him up for a $125 multipoint inspection, something my brother didn't request, nor was it necessary for the issue at hand. After the inspection, they came back recommending an additional $300 diagnostic fee. What's worse is that Erik, fully aware of the suspected transmission issue, failed to disclose that this dealership doesn't even have a transmission technician on-site. As a professional, and representative of what should be a reputable dealership, he should've been transparent about this from the start. I personally reached out to Erik to get clarification, as I work in the service industry myself and understand how dealership operations work, but received no response. While I appreciate the $15 discount offered, it doesn't make up for the fact that they charged for a service they knew they couldn't properly follow through on. At the very least, they should refund the full amount charged for the multipoint inspection, knowing they couldn't address the primary concern. I will be following up with the Bureau of Automotive Repair to report this situation and see what steps can be taken. read more

The service center representative hung up on me while I was attempting to schedule an appointment with them for a recall. There was background noise on her end. I said I can't hear her and can't tell if she was talking to me but then I realize it was someone else having a conversation in her background. I told her I couldn't hear because there was another person speaking on her end. Right after I said that she hung up on me. I guess I will be calling another Ford Service center. I'm not one for negotiating or dealing with anything related to sales. However, while my husband was away, I happened to come across the 2024 Ford Diesel 350 XLT. I knew my husband would love and need it, but I also knew he may not want to commit to purchasing a new truck just yet. So, I decided to do a little research and crunch some numbers to see if I could fit the purchase into my budget and surprise him. I worked out a few scenarios--considering different down payments, potential trade-ins (like my own car), and financing options. The next morning, I called the dealership as soon as they opened and spoke to Alex. I asked if the truck was in stock and available for a test drive, and let him know it would take me about an hour to get there. He assured me they'd have it ready when I arrived. When I got to the dealership, I met the sales manager, Shane, who had to help Alex move vehicles around to bring the truck from another lot. Once the truck was ready, we jumped straight into the test drive. I appreciated Alex's sense of humor--when we returned, he thanked me for getting the truck and us back safely. I couldn't help but laugh and had to tease him about it. I didn't want to waste anyone's time, nor mine, so I was upfront with Alex about my situation. I explained how I'd come across the truck, mentioned my budget, and shared the figures I'd been working with, including the possibility of trading in my 2018 Volvo. I wasn't sure if it was realistic to make a deal, but I was open to discussing my options. We worked through a few scenarios, and after some back and forth, Alex and Shane were able to meet my needs and make the deal happen. This wasn't easy for me, as negotiating is something I tend to shy away from. But Alex and Shane were both professional and accommodating. They were never aggressive, and they gave me honest information about what was possible and what might not work. It took some time, but I walked away with the truck--without having to trade in my car--while staying within the down payment and financing range I was comfortable with. I'm incredibly grateful to Alex and Shane. They not only helped me get the deal done but also went above and beyond by allowing Alex to help drop off the truck and pick up my down payment when I wasn't fully prepared. I had honestly thought it would be impossible to buy my husband's dream truck, but they made it happen. This service center is absolutely terribly managed by Julius Chavez and Daryl their service advisor. In the timeframe of 2weeks I visited this location twice for 2 listed ACTIVE recalls on my 2021 Ford Bronco. The first visit Daryl stated that the recall was actually a warranty extension on the fuel injectors and not a recall. I accepted his explanation and left. Less than a week later I received a notification from both Turo and the NHTSA that there was a safety recall on my Bronco and that my car was being unlisted on the Turo site until my car was cleared of the recall. I called and confirmed with the service center's appointment department prior to making the appointment that there was an active recall on my car and they confirmed the recall and made my appointment for 7am the next day. They explained that the recall required an inspection and if the fuel injectors have failed the parts would be ordered and the repair would be preformed. If the parts had not failed then the inspection fee would be waived as per the recall. I arrived at my appointment and was told by Daryl again that my car did not have a recall. I showed him the Ford website stating the recall and explained that the car was unlisted on Turo for the safety recall. He directed me to Julius the service manager whom then told me that I would need to pay for the inspection if the repair wasn't required. I told him that I was told differently by the representative who made the appt but that since I didn't want to waste my time having came twice for the same issue I would agree to the inspection fee. I told him that I was extremely unhappy with the service I was receiving and that this was why I didn't like bringing my car into the dealership service center. Julius then tells me that he would not accept my car in for repair. I asked him if I could record him telling me that he was refusing to accept my car for its service appointment even though I agreed to pay for the inspection and he said no. He opened the door and asked me to leave. I ended up spending an hour and a half in the parking lot speaking on the phone with Ford's Customer Care department, service appointment department and leaving voicemail messages for both Troy Davis and their general manager Sam regarding the horrendous service I was receiving from the service center. I felt helpless, bullied and discriminated against for being a woman. Had I been a man I don't feel I would have received this kind of treatment. I have wasted countless hours trying to address the recalls on my car! Not only will I tell everyone I know to avoid this service center I would tell everyone to buy from a different Ford dealership location if they were in the market for a new Ford. When I spoke to Ford's customer satisfaction department they confirmed that there was an active recall on my vehicle and that the service I received was not inline with their policy on recalls. They reached out to the service center location and Julius lied stating that I refused to agree to the inspection fee. He is dishonest, rude and unprofessional. Avoid this service center and dealership at all cost. There is another Ford dealership in Redwood City just 6 miles away and one in Half Moon Bay 9 miles away. Go to either of them, this one has terrible reviews and my experience is just another example of what kind of experience you'll expect from this location. Both Julius and Daryl need retraining on customer service and how to conduct themselves professionally. Maybe they should consider a different line of work that is not customer facing because they do NOT represent the Ford brand in a positive way. I picked up my new Ford Maverick Lariat Fx4 the other day. Ordered 12/27/23 picked up 3/14/24. My order process was enjoyable, efficient and easy. Some dealers were charging mark ups for the popular Maverick. Putnam was honoring MSRP, so i placed the order. Now came the wait of which the expectation was set for 4-6 months which was reasonable given what I researched online. I'm super happy to have ordered from Putnam since they had allocations and my Maverick was scheduled and delivered in record time, some have waited over a year. Shane (Sales Manager) and Fernando Acosta were extremely helpful in answering questions and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. When my vehicle was delivered I was excited and nervous as I had horrible experiences purchasing in the past. Mainly with the finance person playing games, keeping us there for a long time and lying. My experience with Putnam was the opposite, paperwork was transparent, MSRP was honored, and got out quickly. I even decided to get an extended warranty from Efren. Yesterday my daughter purchased a 2022 Mazda CX-30. She was so excited about buying her first car. She was misled into believing she needed to purchased extended warranty. The next day she called Putnam Ford to cancel the warranty and was told once the authorization and payment was finalized then she can cancel it (whenever the banks submit the funds to the dealership which will take 1-2 weeks then she can cancel). They told her there's nothing she can do right now. Then they told her they will email forms for her to fill out when cancelled, that it will take 6-8 weeks for the difference of the finance to be finalized. They told her once she cancel, that if she want to re-apply she would have to do it outside of the plan and that her monthly payments will stay the same. She's a young adult who was taking advantage. I tried to give her some independence and this happens. She received two keys and one of them are not programmed. Dealerships can make a significant profit from selling extended car warranties to customers and sometimes some of them have no heart. Its all about the Benjamins. Why she cannot get her full refund of $4,500 when I called and when she called to cancel the next day; before 4pm? Her sales person was upset, rude stated that I was loud. I was not. He was truly upset about cancelling. He should of been ashamed of taking advantage of a young lady; a female. I felt comfortable sending my daughter there for this is a family business. Any advise? They will avoid you and play with you until you finally realize they have already sold your car and they are just laughing at you. I ordered a 2022 ford maverick and waited 19 months for it. During that time MSRP went up about $1,300 but ford promised my original price was locked in. When I went to pick up my truck the dealer said they were unaware of my $500 deposit and that I now got had to pay the new MSRP price. After 7 hours they found my deposit and promised I would be reimbursed the $1,300 after 90 days through the ford price protection program. After 90 days I called Max Garcia the sales manager and he said he would send me a check. The check was only for $250 and Max said he didn't know why it was not the full amount. For the next year Max strung me along telling me he'll try to get my money. After a year he told I won't be getting my money. Max Garcia is a liar and a shady salesman. read more

I believe Putnam scratched the tailgate on my Ford Maverick truck while I was signing papers for the truck (for which I paid a $4.5k dealership markup) - the service guys took it while I was signing papers to do a recall service. I drove off the lot and realized the scratches 2 hours later near home when I stopped at my in laws to show off the truck. Putnam first said they would send a touch-up guy to my house to fix it, then they said I would need to drive 2 hours to their dealership to have their touch-up guy try and fix it. A "touch-up" job is not the correct way to fix a scratch on a new truck and will definitely look terrible, as I was told by a Ford Certified Collision center in my town. I tried to get Putnam to let me take it there for the repair - their response? Completely ghosted me. I tried calling Shane and Max numerous times over several weeks and left numerous voicemails and text messages. When I would call, I was told they are available - then the person comes back on the phone and asks what it's regarding...when I'm transferred, my calls would go to voicemail or, and this happened several times, I'd be hung up on. Shortly after posting this review on Yelp, Shane emailed me (first contact from him in weeks), noting he was unhappy with my review and that he would not help me get the scratch fixed. Completely unprofessional all around. I just wanted the truck restored to the condition it was in when I was signing papers to purchase it. I then contacted the general manager who offered me $600 back - no thanks. But at least he was taking my calls. I then contacted the Bureau of Automotive Repair which seemed to motivate Putnam a bit - Putnam finally picked up my truck and had it professionally fixed (not touched up) - THREE MONTHS LATER. While everything AFTER the purchase was an absolute nightmare, the actual purchasing experience with Shane was rather decent. He's a nice guy, I never felt pressured. That said, what followed was completely unacceptable and I will never purchase a vehicle from this dealership ever again. read more
