I requested an exhaust fan replacement service and was clear that I only needed the replacement. However, when the technician arrived and inspected the job, I was told that the work was "too small" and they wouldn't be taking it on. What's frustrating is that the technician mentioned his manager had already informed him about this beforehand. If that's the case, the company should have communicated this to me in advance instead of scheduling the appointment and wasting my time. While they may be skilled at their work, the lack of transparency and honesty is disappointing. We completely regret using this company to paint the exterior of our home and install new windows. These guys are not professionals. Don't fall for the sales pitch. Victor and Dave came and sold us with their pitch. Then we were pressured to start immediately by someone from their office. He was incredible rude and condescending. There are issues with the paint job (peeling, messy overspray, etc) and some light construction they did. Then the window install. A nightmare. They didn't cover any of our beds or furniture so we were left with shards of glass everywhere! We are still cleaning it up almost 2 weeks later. The windows have gaps, the caulking is a mess, they damaged furniture, took chunks out of the window sills inside and because they received their final payment, they can't be bothered to do the final walk through. We never saw Dave again after they started painting and Victor has repeatedly rescheduled the final walkthrough. I'm hiring an attorney and contacting BBB at this point. read more

I would NOTrecommend this company. I contracted to redo the concrete decking around my pool. This included reinstalling the DecoSeal product I had between coping and concrete. Initial application was not installed correctly and failed. It took me a while to get any satisfaction from the company. They came out and cut out a portion of the seal and reinstalled it. The installation has TOTALLY failed; both in the area that they had reinstalled and now throughout the remainder of the perimeter. The company indicated they conduct annual inspections of their work. No one showed up after the first year. I recently received a visit from a representative indicating they were here for a warranty check. I provided the representative with my concerns. I was told they would go back to the owner for a resolution. The representative agreed to take a quote from my pool man to the owner. After a couple of weeks trying to get a response, today I received this text: ' the owner said we back up our work for that deco seal for one year & it's been 2 years. Unfortunately we cannot cover this repair.' in my opinion, this is not the type of company that I would do business with. And as I said, I would NOT recommend them to anyone. I had the DecoSeal on my pool for years without issue. Obviously, Purple Construction does not know how to install it properly and they don't back up their work!! Worst experience ever. Hired for window installation because they were leaking. They knew cuz they did roof. They Installed 6 windows in 1 day. There was what looked like trim on exterior. It looked terrible and incomplete. They it's just trim just have it painted (I'm disabled and wheelchair bound) Painter said I can't paint this it's rotted and part of frame. Meanwhile water poured in when it rained worse than old windows. Talked to Jose who obviously knew frames were rotted and he he'd fix them for 33k on top of 15k already charged. Hired a new contractor who did it for 14k. He was shocked that a company would take advantage of someone by doing such a thing. They put windows into rotted frames. Terrible Experience - Avoid This Company at All Costs! We hired this company to renovate our kitchen, and the results have been an absolute disaster. The work was completed around March 2023, and not even a year later, our kitchen floor is already breaking and lifting. This is completely unacceptable for such a major renovation. We initially dealt with María, who was consistently rude and unhelpful. After several complaints, she finally sent some workers to inspect the issue. They confirmed what we already knew: the floor was installed incorrectly. Despite this, María ignored our repeated calls and refused to take any responsibility. When we finally managed to reach her, she gave us nothing but excuses and offered a laughable \$1,000 to "fix" the problem--an amount that doesn't even come close to covering the cost of replacing a 24ft x 12ft kitchen floor. Then she told us something even more shocking: the company was *disappearing*. Since then, she has completely stopped answering our calls. This company does shoddy work, takes no accountability, and treats customers with zero respect. This is a list of everything went wrong and positive things: I hired Purple Construction to renovate my floor and the countertop of my kitchen and do some plumbing and installations. Negative 1-.-Lack of communication between Project. Manager Francisco to us and to his team. He will tells us a different explanation of things and his subcontractors would tell us another story 2.-Project Manager put in writing only 2 deposit were needed at the beginning and the rest at the end, then he kept showing up and asking for more deposits all the time. I told him in his contract it does say he needed money and he kept asking for bigger deposits. 3.-Project Manager only showed up to collect money and left right away but never to supervise the workers and the work done 4.-PM. Neglected us as customers 5.-They took longer that expected, because they stopped the job due to an uneven floor. I had to cancel a trip and never compensated my trip 6.-Project Manager put in writing they will not charge extra regardless the condition of the floor and after finding the uneven floor they wanted to charge us more money and of course I didn't want to pay because the contract said the oposite. They had no option but to honor the contract. 7.-I liked his workers and are hard workers, but they worked really unorganized, messy, tools left everywhere, they didn't cover our furniture my whole house went dusty and dirty. And they would only cleaned where grandma can see. 8.-Workers were missing days, didn't show up certain days, as they were doing other jobs. I tried to be as patient as possible and very understanding, but I finally had it at the end. 9.- The PM wanted more money for another uneven floor and I absolutely didn't pay for that. They had to honor the contract. 10.-I had to ask owners to come and look at the mess the workers left. Not much was resolved they only fixed an ugly base board left 11.-Workers removed the doors and they never marked them and they put back the doors but placed the doors in the wrong frames and left them like that. Too bad I noticed after they were gone forever. Also they Left the doors really dirty. 12.- They left a job incomplete, our stairs were left disgusting dirty and nails everywhere sticking out. I told them 4 times and they said they will fix it and also send a painter to clean and paint our base boards, but they never fix it and had to tell them forget about it I'll do it myself as I wanted them to be gone! 13.-They sent a handy man to do a job of plumbing, electricity and installation of hand rails and always left things incomplete and took longer to complete the jobs but at the end he completed the jobs. I had to help him as they send him most of the times by himself to do a job that requieres 2 men. He only brought one person with him one time. He was supposed to paint the baseboards but he said later he would not do it because purples construction was paying him so little. So I was left in the limbo. 14.-The kitchen countertop was left with a bigger whole for one of the outlets. I told them many times to fix it and they waited almost a month to bring a bigger plates to cover the outlet hole that was cut too big. They only came to fix it because one of my checks bounced back and they wanted the last payment and of course I paid them after they fixed that outlet. I paid Cash but he didn't want to give me a receipt and finally had to call his office to get a receipt. 15.-They cracked one of my TVs and they damage 2 of my furnitures and broke one important part of my Murphy bed. I noticed after they were gone. 16.-They left nails on the wall sticking out with no reason to be there I had to pull the out myself. 17.-They dented the kitchen range when installing the countertop 18.-Look at pictures of the mess Positive things 1.-I'm only satisfied with the selection we made for floor color and the stairs steps floor 2.-The kitchen countertop we selected looks beautiful read more

When we bought our home, the first thing I said, was I wanted to remove that wall and that wall - the two walls dividing the kitchen from the living room and the dining room. It took 12 years but we finally we ready to start the project. We reviewed and interviewed multiple companies. Ultimately we landed with Purple Construction. Their up front pricing that clearly indicated everything that was included was a huge selling point. Immediately after they left that first day, we agreed they would be the company we would go with. But we still had other companies to interview (just in case). Nobody came close to what Purple had to offer. And that was just the beginning. When we signed the contract Francisco and Gio came over, explained everything to us and provided us with an approximate timeframe. ***For full disclosure, they anticipated being done by Thanksgiving, it was actually closer to Christmas. Which, with almost any major construction project, delays are to be expected. There are too many variables to be able to provide an exact completion date. We knew this going in to the project, so we were fine with the extended timeframe.*** Additionally, we did not move out of the house during this project and we have a family of 3 children (all girls), 2 dogs and 2 cats. We needed to make sure that our family was protected and still able to feel comfortable in their own home. Every single person they had in/out our house was respectful, kind and mindful of our household. Early on I was very protective of my daughters, but as we worked with Francisco and Purple Construction, I knew that I did not need to worry. I would often look forward to coming home from working and seeing what work was accomplished that day, but also to see who was working in our home that day. There were many nights that we would talk and chat and listen to the stories of those in our home that day. Throughout the project, there was constant communication about where we were at, what the next steps were, etc. There was also a lot of collaboration regarding the design, colors, flooring, molding, etc. We had previously added on to our house (not through Purple unfortunately) and there was minimal collaboration. This was a very nice change. At one point in the project, I was getting concerned about the cost of things (because I like pretty and shiny and our house really does need a lot of work). Francisco and Gio got on a call with us and went over everything that we had already covered/done and what would be needed. They shared what they thought would be most beneficial to our house and the project (and ultimately our family in the long run) while still keeping us within budget. When the project came to end it was bittersweet. The end result was beyond anything that we could have predicted and desired. We went from 3 rooms, to a single great room. Hector and his amazing craftsmanship gave us beautiful custom cabinets and a large island that is the focal point of the room for family and friends to gather. But we knew that the daily check-ins from Francisco and having the staff in our home would come to an end. They really did become family. We have a few other projects in our home that need to be done and when we are ready to do those we will definitely use Purple Construction. We have referred them to family and friends and will continue to do so. The heart and hustle of this group cannot be matched. read more

My wife and I had been discussing redoing the concrete on our back patio for some time. When Purple Construction did their door knocking, we decided to entertain them. We're glad we did. Victor and Jose were transparent about everything, pricing, expectations for the work, any repairs that may need to be performed to the stucco (there was a little), the aftercare we would need to perform on the concrete (fun fact, if you keep your concrete damp for the first couple of weeks it's a much better product) I did get additional quotes, and while Purple wasn't the cheapest, they weren't the most expensive and they were the most honest, and that last part was the final bit to seal the deal. They opened a group chat with us and kept us updated with status and photos. While we were home for a lot of the work, what we weren't there for we got additional progress pictures detailing the work that occurred. I have mixed feelings about this company. I used them for a few different jobs. (new roof, new electrical, new AC, new plumbing) so I can't say their work isn't mostly good and I can't say I have had much better experience with other large contractors. The biggest issue I have is if something isn't in writing it is completely useless. Make sure not to accept or believe any verbal agreements. Especially since they aren't going to be overseeing the work since they rely on you for final inspection of the work instead of checking it themselves to ensure things were done acceptably. Basically, be ready to be on their case if you want things done (and even then, it can take a while...). With that said, all the workers were nice and did their best to not make a mess. The work itself always seemed to go relatively quickly. Its just the management of the jobs that seems to always be lacking. read more

They are not to be confused with a Van Nuys company. Purple Construction Inc delivered. I was fortunate enough to buy a house eight years ago, better it was flipped. The bathroom was not ideal and had many issues. Layers of flooring and tiles above tiles. And it had a huge window in the shower!!! After talking with the team they delivered on how we wanted our bathroom to look. During the construction they made sure we were happy with the progress. They explained the process of their work and what it would involve. They answered many of our questions. We had a few. We had an old tub in the bathroom and when it was removed, they found electrical conduit wired around a corner of the tub. They had their electrician help re-wire the whole thing for an additional price. It was a good price; less than what I expected. They are honest in their pricing and the unexpected wiring situation was not in the original quote. But they helped us fix it immediately. Work was only delayed by a day as they gathered their supplies and added a new junction box. I work from home and need electricity. They knew that so our power was only out for three hours as they worked. They wanted to do it right, not fast. I loved that. Their workforce are insured and protected. That brought us piece of mind. If any one their workers got hurt, the company would take care of them with no risk to us. That was a concern for us. No fraud or scam fears since the company protects their workers. I spent awhile looking for a professional team with good communication and shared my vision on what I wanted to complete. I started with a new driveway and they gave me a fair price on stamped concrete which turned out really nice. I had a drainage issue and they were able to provide good recommendations with a pump system included. Once that was done, I gave them an opportunity to renovate the kitchen and living space. Although I went over my budget, they provided me with a few different options and throughout the process was able to work through change orders that made the space feel right. The quality of work was great. Although there were minor outstanding items or gaps in communication with the team, a phone call or text would help resolve the issue. They ended up finishing in a short amount of time which is great because I had family that were traveling and out of town, so they were able to get back in the house without too many inconveniences. I have been wanting to get my house painted for a while and had purple construction give me a presentation and it went well and I signed. After that there were some hiccups and eventually we got the job started. Workers were very nice and friendly. They wanted to make sure I was happy with the work and also worked around my schedule. Downside a bit was I had to board my dogs longer than i wanted due to weather and scheduling. Overall the work was clean, no over spray due to them using tarps and they came back to do touch ups. I have had compliments on the house and how nice it looks so I felt a bit better about the cost. The cool wall seems to be doing its job keeping the house cooler, much more noticeable in the garage as it does not get any air conditionin. About 4 months later I noticed some cracks with the paint/cool wall and called the sales rep. Again a bit more of hiccups as it took another month until I was able to really get in contact with someone to address the problem. Rudy answered my email within 20 mins and came out 2 days later. I don't usually do reviews as much but I want to make sure I make time to make this review. Words can't express the gratitude I have for Purple Construction. I have been searching for a construction company for about 2 months but most of the companies just try to sell you and don't educate you. I needed to remodel an apartment complex in mid city. When Giovanni and Hector came to my house it was like heaven sent. They explained to me every detail of the project from the demo to the finish items. The professionalism and knowledge they have is immaculate. When the project begin they demo all areas needed an each day they worked they covered with ram board and plastic. They were super clean, we had some delays with materials and weather but over all the project went smooth. I am so Thankful with Purple Construction and and the staff. They are a little more expensive but they are definitely not your typical construction company they are more then just a company they are a Family. I wonder if they would have done a better job if they bid the project for more money. As I wrote this I gave them less stars... We had them do our bathroom last summer of 2023. The tile was installed about 90 percent quality. It looked great, but some spots look uneven. The shower glass also looked nice, but is crooked when you pay attention more closely. The project manager didn't listen and got the wrong type of door handle after telling him several times what we wanted. They wanted us to install niches and suggested lighting for the niches. Nothing was ever done right the first time. People kept having to come back to fix things. The paint kept having to come back touch up 3-4 times because there were so many places missed, and I don't think they ever did a second full coat of paint. The light sockets and switches aren't where we agreed they needed to go, and we had to get our wiring guy to fix what they messed up after. They were supposed to do some electrical (now I am happy they didn't!) to put the bathroom electrical on its own fuse switch, but never did it. After they left, the bathroom started falling apart. The paint is either chipping or bubbling. Fixtures are all loose and nothing seems to have been sealed properly. The niches lighting is falling out. The toilet pipes make a weird noise when we flush. The bathroom, their work, is supposed to have a three year guarantee and they won't return our calls. They left debris under the house. We are supposed to have a 3 year guarantee for them to fix any problems. They stopped returning our texts/calls to resolve the issues with the bathroom. Reading recent reviews, it looks like they aren't doing much better with their later clients either. read more
