Hello. I was looking for a good boxing gym in my area, and this location popped up. What is pricing and how is the training/classes set up?

The team here are good, they are friendly. The only issue I have is with whoever runs the payments,…read moreI was charged for two months straight while I asked them to pause my account while I dealt with an injury . This was after my subscription had ended and was never told about the auto renewal. The only reason they don't have a one star from me is because of the coaches

A few weeks ago, I visited a different Burn Boot Camp location to attend a boot camp class…read moresponsored by LVMPD and I enjoyed the workouts so much that I decided to swing by this location to ask for advice about a membership. Brittany at the front desk said that I could sign up for a three-day trial at any time and then sign up for a membership afterwards. I chose their 6-month membership option just to get the feel of how I would enjoy camp in the near future. After my three-day trial, I'm happy to say that I am now an official member of Burn! I go to this one in Henderson because it's so close to my house. I am a super busy full time college student on a tight schedule that has never found the time to workout at home, so being a member of Burn helps me find the time to get a 45 minute workout in. I can just book any of their camps through their app. Initially I had planned to attend camp three times a week, but after realizing that the workouts make me feel good and stronger, I decided that I wanted to show up every day, except for Sunday's because they are closed then. A former coworker of mine is also a member of Burn (whom I used as my referral name when I signed up), but she goes to camp SUPER early. Unless I can wake up for their 5:00am camp (which is downright impossible), we can start going together lol. Though I am not a parent (and will never be, for a long laundry list of reasons), I really like that they have complimentary childwatch for all their members. It's super convenient for parents that can't find or don't have anyone to watch their kid. They are simply placed in a separate room away from the floating floor until the workout is finished. Dylan has been my trainer since my very first day at Burn and he has encouraged me to work harder and stronger, though I've had Renaldo and Tyler as my trainers as well. My workout peers are inspirational and I'm looking forward to meeting other trainers and building new relationships with my peers down the road. I'm proud to now call Burn Boot Camp my new home away from home!

I've done 37 classes at Orange Theory now, so figured I'd write a quick review. A coworker actually…read moreintroduced me last year with their "first class free" deal at her home gym. I was experiencing some life stuff and in the midst of grief at the time, and the gym slowly became my therapy since then. I don't have the monthly membership. I preferred to do class packages as my work schedule varies. I know each studio has its own pricing and promos, but typically a 20 class pack runs around $375. Sometimes they'll throw in some extra classes if there's a special. The heart rate monitor runs around $100-$120, but you can easily buy used ones online for cheaper. I bought the latest one and love the new features. I typically do the 2G workouts, where the class is divided into two groups. One group starts on the treadmills, the other starts on the rower and weight floor, then they switch. You'll see your stats and everyone else's on the TV while you work out. I think this is a great motivator if you're driven by numbers. I like how you get a report emailed at the end about your workout/progress, too. Personally, I burn around 450-550 calories per class and feel great afterwards. The coaches are friendly and help to push you. I usually train with Rocky, Melissa, or Sydni. I'm not very good at weight exercises, so I always appreciate when the coaches fix my form or offer modifications, especially Melissa! The studio itself is kept clean by the friendly front desk employees, and sanitizer wipes are always accessible when switching equipment. The class times vary, starting as early as 5am to 6:45pm.

I won some free classes for Tru Fusion a couple months ago from an event they were doing at Area15…read more(it was puppy yoga with Service dogs & it was an absolutely magical experience!) Started going this past February/March to check it out. I absolutely loved it! The classes are definitely not easy, but I really enjoyed them & all the instructors. The staff is incredibly nice, really take the time to help you understand the classes. The manager was so nice & gave me a tour my first visit. They have four training rooms at this location, I only used two: Rock room & Soul room. Depending which room you're in, depends if it's a heated or non-heated class. I believe the rock room is the only one not heated? This location does not offer Reformer Pilates classes. From what I understand the other two locations do you offer different types of classes that might not be available at the eastern location. The instructors are so understanding & encouraging, especially if you're new to doing any of the classes. The cleanest fitness facility I've ever been to. Locker room, showers, bathrooms, training rooms, equipment, all spotless! They provide most of the equipment, (I needed to bring a mat, mat towel, sweat towel, & water, I was able to buy the hand wraps for boxing from them directly) when you're done, they have an area for used equipment so it can be cleaned. Equipment rentals are very reasonably priced. They have plenty of lockers & storage. Tons of amenities in locker room, & a water bottle filling station. Memberships are pretty pricey for me, so I will buying their class passes! I appreciate the fact that they do have options besides a membership (with contract,) you can buy class packs (but they do need to be used in a certain period of time.) They do some pretty good deals for their class packs through out the year & you can also do drop in classes. The first person I want to give a shout out to is Ashley who teaches their Tru Mat Pilates class! She was my go to person for starting at TruFusion, she had reached out to me about setting up my classes after I had registered. She helped me out so much, such a sweet person, & an incredibly kick ass instructor! My first class was so intense (since it was my first ever Pilates class, I learned a lot) she was so encouraging & really took the time to explain everything. She knew I was pretty overwhelmed & really made it a comfortable environment. She reached out to me after & sent me a really sweet email. I appreciate her so much for following up with me after & I can't wait to take her class again in the future! The next instructor that I had was Maddie she was my instructor for Tru Boxing Conditioning Express. Such a fun, but intense class! She was so nice & took the time to explain things, was very encouraging. She helped with anything I struggled with, I appreciated her help, especially in such a fast paced class! Her class is no joke & super fun!! You are getting a full on workout & also taking out all of your aggression at the same time, you're going back-&-forth between boxing & strength training, it is super quick! My next instructor was Nicole who was subbing for Ashley for Tru Mat Pilates. My trainer & I went together to her class, we both really enjoyed it. She definitely did things very different than Ashley & I really appreciated getting a different perspective on Mat Pilate workouts. They definitely teach very differently & I do love the variation! My final free class & the reason that I will be purchasing class packs in the very near future: Tru Roll & Recover with Neylan! She has such a peaceful, warm, & inviting energy. Her class was absolutely amazing!!! The people in that class were so nice & everyone was having a great time, a lot of laughing! It was so relaxing (still intense, nothing at Tru Fusion is easy lol) It's basically a slightly heated foam roller stretching class (I was definitely very bruised after from the textured foam roller) with a lot of slow movements mixed with meditation. If you need a class to help relieve stress & open up different parts of your body, this is the class to take! I cannot wait to make it a regular part of my schedule! The only downside to TruFusion was how loud the music is in most of the training rooms versus the microphones of the trainers. It can be very overstimulating, & hard to hear what the instructors are saying. What ended up helping me was using my filtered earplugs (like concert earplugs.) So that way I was able to hear the instructors over the music & the music not be overpowering, which also made a massive difference in my workout. So if you are considering taking Tru Fusion classes, & the music is too overwhelming & overstimulating, I highly suggest using filtered earplugs! TruFusion is an absolutely amazing place to take workout/fitness classes. Thank you, TruFusion for being a safe place to learn & grow on my fitness journey.

I had an unpleasant experience after Jill Bernard's class. Following the session, she raised her…read morevoice at me when I politely asked another student--who had set up right next to me at the last minute--to move her mat because the floor fan she brought was blowing directly on me and was distracting. Unfortunately, I found Jill's response unprofessional and her teaching style lacking refinement. She participated in only a small portion of the class herself, and her attire was not appropriate for an instructor (the see-through clothing is intentional and foul). Overall, the experience felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming -- I do not recommend this facility to anyone looking for a solid and safe environment to practice yoga.
