I usually go to a nail salon in Aurora which is wonderful. I was pressed for time and Pure Nails had great reviews, however I wasn't impressed with the pedi. It was short (about 30 minutes) I'm used to an hour long pedi because of massaging. The lotion was heated up which was nice but it was just rubbed on - nothing special or relaxing about it. My solid color Shellac pedi was $40 without tip (French is $45). For what I got, I definitely don't think it was worth $40+. Maybe I'm jut spoiled with an amazing salon in Aurora were they're clean, amazing, and $25 for a shellac pedi! read more

Terrible! I went here a few years back, when I moved into the neighborhood for a mani/pedi which was nice. A few days ago, I went in for a rebase. In their defense, I went in about 30 min before closing time. However, I did call prior to make sure they could take me, and I wouldn't be inconveniencing them. They told me to head over and they could see me. I walked in, waited for a few minutes and was sat. The lady that started my service grabbed my hand HARD and pulled it towards her, grabbing her drill. I told her she was hurting me drilling too hard, and I pulled my hand back. Looked to see if the dang meanie had drawn BLOOD! She didn't, but offered NO APOLOGY! I tried to tough it out, but after the 3rd time of her hurting me, I kindly told her, I don't need a rebase and will soak them off myself. I calmly walked out, said thank you for her time and LEFT. The don't give a hoot, have terrible customer service and are rushing people through for $$. I do not support this, and am so disappointed that they hurt me and could care less. I heard about Pure Nails from a friend and also was drawn in through the yelp ratings. Came in today after work (on a Friday afternoon) The place was empty luckily so we didn't have to wait. I was really surprised at how clean and cute this place was with the purple walls and nice furniture. It also had a wonderful mango smell. Eliza, the owner, gave me a pedicure. She was very friendly and gave a really long amazing foot massage! They also warm up their lotion. They use a lot of OPI nail polish rather than the cheapo ones found at most nail salons. The pedicure was only $25, pretty average pricing. I'm definitely going to come back for my next pedicure since it's close to work and home. I think she said $15 for shellac manicure for those of you who likes those. read more

I was excited to try this place after hearing good things, but I could not have had a more opposite experience. It started when I made an appointment for 2 at t 2:30, walking in exactly on time. I was disappointed to see two people picking out polish and getting ready to start their services with 2/3 people working. We were told that to wait 10 minutes because they were busy (with the two people who walked in 5 minutes before our appointment. It wasn't until 40 minutes after our scheduled appointment time we got service. Another thing we noticed was the third employee was massaging one of the clients getting a pedicure on her arms, so that 2 people were working on 1 person. The product overall was okay, but no better than anything I had received before and the acrylic didn't last long at all maybe 5 days before it started coming loose. The worst part after the wait was the price. My friend and I were both overcharged by $10 from the posted price, which we didn't notice until we were leaving thinking how expensive it was compared to other places we frequent and checked the price. $50 for a full set. Ridiculous. Not sure if it was our age being young or that they were more interested in their regulars, which we found very rude. The regulars were treated like gold, they were the center of attention, and it seemed like we were a burden. We are paying customers who had an appointment. Not worth the wait, not recommended and will not be back. read more

Great job. Visiting from Massachusetts with friends. We were looking for a nail place who would work on 3 of us. And this was the only spot who did. Everyone else wanted us to wait several hours. The service here is great, the owner has a great sense of humor. Their very professional and super clean. I've never been there before the only reason I was there was because my nail salon was booked and after this I'll never go there again and I'll sure as hell tell my friends not to go there. Eliza was extremity was extremely rude and unkind to me. I tried to make pleasant conversation and she was having none of it. However, she treated the people she knew with great kindness and respect. I asked for something they don't really do so I settled for a less talented version of what I normally get. I was okay with it! Then I asked for tips and she told me that wasn't necessary but I'm the customer and that's what I want! She begrudgingly did that. Then she's putting the tip color on first then the base part. The base was fine but the tip has crooked lines, I have 3 nails that are crooked and I paid 50 FREAKING DOLLARS FOR THIS?! Absolutely not okay!!!! So I call today for a full refund and the one thing she did politely and nicely was give me my money back. I got my toes painted white which was alright, but my manicure was TRASH. I had gotten a French manicure because I wanted to go simple for prom. That night, my nail buds turned red from one of the guys "special mix to make my nails look healthy". The nail polish also started to chip THAT NIGHT, which was less than 5 hours of getting them done. Two days later this is what my nails look like. Pure is an excellent representative of the cute strip mall nail salon. Its a quick drive from my office, so when I decided at the beginning of my lunch hour yesterday that I was in need of a gel mani I gave them a call. They were able to accommodate me toothy away. I was a little worried when I walked in and the place was empty other than the three staff members. However, I received a friendly welcome and was impressed by their nice selection of CND gel polish (a brand that I have personally found to be among the best gel polish available. My nail technician was a quiet older Asian woman who took her time prepping and painting my nails while General Hospital played in the background, and finished off the experienced with a short hand and arm massage. I was impressed by my nearly flawless mani, reasonably priced at $30, completed so efficiently that I was able to get back to my office by the end of my lunch hour! read more

Friendly staff of Vietnamese ladies who seemed genuinely happy to be there and working with each other. The price for a pedi was average and the young lady did a very good job trimming my overgrown toenails/cuticles. (In my experiences elsewhere they ladies are more aggressive and rushed, borderline nipping too deep and cringe worthy for my nerves, but this time I was in good hands.) The massage was more of a skin rub that I didn't care for, but overall I'm happy with the nail job. Will possibly come again. read more

My friend and I got our nails done here a couple weeks ago. She got the shellac and was happy with the look, but asked her nails to be a bit shorter than what they did. So she ended up filing her nails more when she got home. I got a mani-pedi with regular nail polish, and it chipped that same afternoon. So I ended up taking it off and repainting my nails at home. The people were really nice, and the place was clean, but I hate leaving a nail place after asking for repairs. May try one more time in case they were having an off-day. read more

Had an acrylic rebase here, with regular polish, and had to call to schedule an appointment 2 days later to correct the major chips to polish and acrylic itself. It was so thin that it chipped and peeled away making my nails look terrible. They did offer to fix my nails, but the correction didn't address the thin coating of acrylic originally given that broke off and chipped every nail. Ugh.
