I have gotten so many pedicures and never have my nail techs drawn blood or cut my nails so ugly! For context, I always have pretty square/rectangle nails and no ingrown or fungus. From the start, I was already trying to push through the pain. 1. She was drilling the outside of my nails while she was trying to remove the gel I had come in with. 2. She cut my nails in basically triangles or random lengths. 3. She's buffing my toes and not even my actual toe nails HARD AF mind you. 4. She's pulling my cuticles HARD (I don't even grow a lot of cuticle) 5. She finally pulled so hard she drew blood and didn't say anything. NOT ONCE DID I HEAR AN "oh sorry about that" OR ANYTHING. At this point I'm speaking up for myself and telling her she's being too rough. Guess what she said? She said, "your nail is ingrown!" NO THE FUCK IT WASN'T. I have ZERO ingrown nails. I'm telling her to stop working on my feet cause she kept being rough! So at this point she's trying to say "oh well I already cut all of them" and I said I was ok with paying for it, but stop working on my feet!!! THAT IS HOW BAD IT WAS. I WAS WILLING TO PAY FOR SHITTY TREATMENT AS LONG AS IT MEANT IT COULD STOP. She's still trying to exfoliate my legs and I'm like stop! Then she sprays alcohol ON ALL THE CUTS SHE GAVE ME. Now it just BURNS, part of me thinks she did that on purpose too cause you see all the blood coming out and you wanna spray it with alcohol??? Ridiculous. I'm too nice to say anything, but she deserved a great yelling!! She FINALLY left my feet alone and said "it's ok you don't have to pay" SO WTF were you arguing with me for??? Talking about, "I'm almost done with the pedicure" I told you to STOP and she tried to keep going! I left and headed straight to a new business that actually treats people right!! There they painted my nails brown and had to work with the ugly shaped nails. Just to be clear: I got my nails painted elsewhere so all the cuts I got were made here. I truly wish I had spoken up for myself earlier and I would have way less cuts / trouble walking because of them. read more

Consistently Amazing! I can't say enough good things about Wheat Ridge Nails. I've been coming here regularly, and this is truly the only place I trust for a powder dip gel manicure. When I first came in, I was super skeptical--other salons had ruined my nails in the past with dip powder, leaving them cracked and weak. But this team completely changed my mind. Their powder dip manicures are strong, beautiful, and last me a month--and I'm someone who's hard on their hands and always cleaning. No chipping, no lifting. Just solid, gorgeous nails for weeks. On top of that, the staff is always so kind and welcoming. They take their time to make sure your nails look great, and while yes, sometimes you might have to wait a bit, it's worth it. I'd recommend calling ahead a couple hours if you're on a tight schedule--they're super accommodating and even flexible if you're running late near closing. This is hands-down my go-to salon, and I won't go anywhere else as long as they're around and I'm living in the Denver area. Give them a try--you won't be disappointed! read more

Linda is THAT girl. I got my nails done in LA and the woman didn't want to shape them the way I wanted nor did she clean up any of the excess gel x that was under my nails. Overall just really sloppy work. I called here for a fill and they were able to get me in rather quickly. She took her time making sure the fill was clean and precise. My nails were reshaped to exactly what I wanted (the other woman in LA wouldn't do stiletto and made them more of an almond shape) and are SHARP. She proceeded to buff off all the excess gel that was sitting under my nails and they look amazing. Please be patient if you walk in as they're a pretty busy shop especially with summer coming. I recommend calling and making an appointment. I've been here multiple times and they haven't disappointed me yet. (The red is recent and the clown nails are from a past visit.) I had the first appointment of the day with Linda. The area is unknown to me as I was traveling from Connecticut and needed a repair and dip powder manicure. Linda was friendly and inviting. I told her what I like and she picked the color. Perfection. I was amazed at how quickly she worked but I could not believe the quality of the work. My nails came out perfectly. Fairly priced at around $55 for a full set. So far, 2.5 weeks in to this set and they're still perfect. I told them I had gel x extensions on my nails that I wanted to get removed. First off the lady cut me with the drill. After I started bleeding I told her it was gel x once again. She then takes a fake nail and starts ripping the extensions off my natural nails. No soaking or softening at all. 2 of my natural nails were ripped off. Got up and left. Walked in on a Saturday around 4p and they took me straight away. I wanted to get French tips and they recommend shellac with French color. Evan (I think that was his name?) was really nice. He dipped two tones to match my Pacific Islander skin perfectly (hate it when I walk out of a nail salon and they make my French tip base look so chalky and fake). I used to visit this salon on a regular basis. One of my best friends needed a pedicure so I highly recommended this place. She lives in Vietnam where she teaches English. She is fluent in Vietnamese. She told me that the owner and another nail tech (she thinks her name was Kim) where talking in Vietnamese making fun of the clients at the salon. Things like "she's so fat, her feet as disgusting, she's a bitch". Just awful things. Apparently this is very common in nail salons (my friend told me) but she was shocked of how horrible their comments were. She said that the owner would be smiling to the customers as she was saying those things. Needless to say I won't be supporting a business that makes fun of the people that support them.
