I had delivery from pure multiple times and they never seem to get it right. The food is good but nothing special and after the repeated delivery blunders I do not think I will ever order from Pure again. My coworkers and I ordered dinner from Pure and had a variety of wraps, juice, smoothies and appetizers. Our delivery came about half an hour after the 1 hour expected delivery time... it's just wraps and juice not something that really takes that long to make and at least stick to your expected time. Anyway... we ended up calling the restaurant twice wondering where our food was during the second call we were told that they delivered the food. We went down to the lobby of our building and the security guard told us that they have the food to someone else and then that person took the food and returned it to the lobby later when they realized it was not theirs. The delivery guy should have at least asked the persons name before handing over, over $100 of food but no... we eventually got the food and it was nothing special. Not to mention my $6.50 juice was spilled and I barely had a sip of it. The food was good so I'm giving it two stars and I will not order delivery from here ever again. read more

I came to Pure Bistro as a last minute idea because every other place in the area was booked for brunch. When we arrived, we realized it was cash only. However, the website did not say it was cash only. There is an atm in the back so it wasn't a big deal. They only have two kinds of mimosas as brunch cocktails. One is the original and the other uses mango juice. I guess they only have wine and beer so that's why there aren't many brunch cocktails. The service wasn't great here. I think maybe they were short one person. We ordered coffee and it took a while for it to come. Another table came in and sat down after us and received their orders first. However, the food was good. I got the red quinoa salad with chicken. The salad was good, the chicken was kind of chewy, though. I think the servers were overwhelmed. I have to disagree with the negative reviews that call the food bland - I felt that it was a healthier option which is usually a bit more simple than your regular restaurant dish. My bf and I came around 3:30 for a very late breakfast. We ordered "Mom's Guacamole" to start, felt time appropriate. The Guac itself was very fresh, had a very good flavor to it. It came with very nice very thin chips which made it a nice light snack rather than filling us up. I ordered the "Garden Morning Wrap" which came with eggs, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers and onions. This dish came with tasty sweet potatoes in the style of home fries. My bf ordered the "Mediterranean Morning Wrap" that comes with eggs, feta and spinach. Simple but tasted delicious. We also ordered the fresh juices. I had the "Go Green" which comes with honeydew, spinach and kale. It was green but nice and sweet because of the honeydew. My bf ordered the "Ginger Zinger" that comes with orange, carrot and ginger. As you can see from the picture I had salmon with rice and broccoli along with nice glass of Chardonnay. The rice and the broccoli, both perfectly cooked, came without seasoning. At first bite I was disappointed. But then I mix the sauce on the bottom of the plate with the rice broccoli and salmon and found it to be delightful. We made reservations here for a late Sunday breakfast. We're about a 15 minute walk from the area, so it was the perfect option for us. When we finally arrived, we were a little concerned as we were were the only people there so either the food was going to be terrible or we were just coming in between waves. Thankfully, it was the latter and I could not be happier with my experience here and cannot wait to return. They offer smoothies, gluten-free, and vegan options along with plenty of options for your cheat day. They also serve their sandwiches on whole grant toast, and offer tofu as a meat substitute. We started our meal off with smoothies, both of which were a perfect size, served in a mason jar, and delicious. Four our meals I had the Mediterranean with tofu (mouth watering good) and my boyfriend had the omelette which was cooked well and stuffed. I was also a huge fan of their sweet potato hash browns. The only reason I am not giving this place 5 stars is because of their ketchup and hot sauce bottles. Stopped by here for Brunch after we saw that they had received good ratings from fellow yelpers. The have two sections with a decent amount of seating. However, if you're a party of 4 or more I'd highly recommend that you call ahead as it seemed like they'd have to move the seating around. They have a bunch of omelettes for brunch and I tried the veggie omelette with potatoes. As omelettes go it was a good omelette, nothing that I'd write home about. They also have freshly blended smoothies and I had some sort of green vegetable smoothie. The service was decent, nothing outstanding but no complaints either. The food was prepared in a timely manner. Before I knew it he was back in the bar with our dinner. We ordered the Guacamole to share as an appetizer. It is served with tortilla chips. The portion size of the guacamole was unbelievable. We almost ran out of chips because there was so much guacamole. And you could tell that it was freshly made. It had incredible flavor. I was majorly impressed and that's not easily done. We also ordered two sandwiches for our "main course". When we opened up the containers, we could not believe how large the sandwiches were. Our initial reaction was that we should have only ordered one sandwich and shared it. But how were we supposed to know? My husband ordered the Mediterranean Panini and I ordered the Italiano Panini. I came here to have brunch with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. He's allergic to gluten, and an app on his phone told him this place has great gluten-free items. The place is beautiful - very inviting, not too busy despite a small, cozy feel. We got a seat by the windows which have a great view of the colorful street. I ordered the Avocado Breakfast Wrap - avocado, turkey bacon, and scrambled eggs in a spinach wrap (sweet potato homefries come on the side of every breakfast wrap) with a glass of Pinot. I'm 24, but the waitress still carded me, which I genuinely appreciated. My friend wanted the same, and said "I'll copy him, the Avocado wrap." His speaking wasn't very clear, though, and the waitress misheard him as saying "coffee, avocado wrap". This was not her fault, and my friend felt really bad about refusing the coffee. The food was ready very quickly, and when we got it, we were amazed at the beautiful presentation. The home fries were delicious and full of flavor - the wrap was moist and such a complex mixture of flavors. They both went very well with the sweet, fruity Pinot. My friend quickly ate his sweet potatoes, avoiding his wrap. When I asked why, he admitted he had thought that "spinach wrap" meant it would be wrapped in spinach. Because he has such a severe gluten allergy, he couldn't eat the spinach tortilla that makes the wrap a wrap if it contained flour. He felt really guilty about it, but went to the waitress and asked to see the ingredients of the wrap. When he saw that it was indeed flour, he asked if they had any corn tortillas he could substitute. The waitress said no, apologetically, but he told her it wasn't her fault and that he should have checked beforehand. He decided to unwrap the wrap and eat just the innards, slowly, and to see how he does. Luckily, he was able to eat the entire filling with no incident, and loved it. Mine, with spinach wrap in tact, was also delicious. The only negative comment I have is that the place only accepts cash and American Express. I don't have an American Express card, but happened to have cash on me at the time. As long as you prepare for it, this is a non-issue, so it doesn't feel right to lower it's rating for that reason. I did feel like it needed mentioning, though. In summary: the environment, the service speed, the presentation, the food, the price ($25 for both our meals and my wine!), and the kind and patient staff make this place a new favorite of mine that I will definitely return to. After the gym my family and I decided to come here for brunch. It wasn't packed, so we were seated within 5 Minutes. There were six of us - and in the beginning the waitress was really friendly, and even brought us the normal menu because my sister had been there before and wanted to check it they would in addition to the brunch menu. My friend and I ordered the mangosa- which we didn't get until we asked two people, and the mangosas came after we received our meals. The mangosa was delicious and so was my omelette. Also love their wheat pancakes. My friend that ordered the Pure burger saw that his burger was well done, told the waitress she took it back. She then comes back with the same burger (he took a bite) and leaves, my friend was appalled since this was the same burger and you can't bring a well done burger back cooked medium . Him and another friend went up to tell the waitress- because they rarely do come by to check on the party. She started to argue with both friends saying that she heard him say the burger was not cooked enough- instead of acknowledging there was a misunderstanding. Her attitude really did ruin the experience. Another server came back with another burger and he seemed apologetic, but this burger was pretty much raw. We gave it back to him. I really liked some of the dishes, but the service left a bad taste for all of us. I don't think I'd be back, which is a shame. We split the Vivente Panini (chicken, fresh mozzarella, red peppers, pesto), and a Spicy Jack Wrap (chicken, pepper jack, bacon, avocado, and spicy mayo). Wow the Spicy Jack Wrap was amazing! and the Vivente Panini wasn't too bad either... but wow the wrap. Not too dry, like so many wraps, not too sloppy; absolutely perfect flavor combination as well, go get one! I visited Pure Bistro about a week and a half ago. Ordered a sandwich to go and wasn't given the gluten free panini roll I requested. Nevertheless, the sandwich was pretty good, so I decided to visit again. This time, I dined in and the food didn't disappoint. However, when I received my receipt, I was shocked. There was a 20% gratuity added to my bill. The bill listed several options for tipping: 15, 18, and 20%, but for some reason, 20% was automatically added to mine. I should also add that I was dining alone. Now, I dine out more than the average person. Correction, I eat out more than anyone I know. I use my fridge to store homemade hair products, not groceries. Therefore, I am well aware of tipping practices. However, I don't understand why someone would add a tip to a solo diner's bill. When I mentioned this to my server, she said the manager adds the tips to the machine. Now, if I give her the benefit of the doubt and believe what she said, I don't understand why a restaurant serving $15 sandwiches thinks its clientele would not leave tips. The people who don't leave tips don't eat at $15 sandwich places. If that policy is listed somewhere, mea culpa, but I don't recall seeing it. Thus, I am more inclined to think that the server saw my brown face, made several incorrect assumptions about my willingness and ability to tip, and decided to automatically add it. Strange because a person spending nearly $30 for a gluten-free chicken sandwich, sweet potato home fries, and a blood orange pellegrino isn't hard up for cash. When I told the server that it's inappropriate to add tips without informing your diners beforehand, she proceeded to give me back all of my change, saying that I could have the money back. Her tone implied that I could use the change more than she does. I wondered, does she think that given someone her change back is an act of charity? That's not charity, it's normal practice. That lets the diner have the freedom to leave the tip she chooses. Anyway, I felt embarrassed and upset, which placed me in an odd predicament. On the one hand, bad service shouldn't garner a tip at all; on the other, tipping poorly would simply feed into the stereotype that all "such and such people" don't tip well. I left her 15%, much less than I would normally give, to make a point. However, with much regret, I won't be eating at this establishment again. It's unfortunate, because as a gluten-free diner, I don't often find places that cater to my diet and I was really excited when I discovered this place a week ago. Now that my experience was tainted, I can't allow myself to eat here again knowing that the business and/or its servers might be engaging in discriminatory practices. read more

Had a tuna salad sandwich. Some people like a very dry tuna salad so this is the sandwich for them. I felt it was bland and completely underwhelming. There was no side with the sandwich (ok, 3 pieces of lettuce which I think was an attempt at a salad?) Overall, definitely not impressed. read more
